I agree, if you read there article all she did was light a small fire, in college, after a few drinks. Sounds like the wind caught it, making it spread. A horrible, horribly situation, super sad that four people died. BUT her sentence is neither a just punishment, nor a deterrent against future death. The father of one of the victims also supports this idea, and has said that he is saddened she wasn't released last year. She has currently served 12 years.

At what point was the cop in danger? That is the only justification for tasing someone. She could have died from being tased, he didn't have the right to do that to her just because she wouldn't comply with his orders, especially because all she was credibly accused of at that point was a traffic violation.
