The memoir isn't trash. I think this post is and what it was trying to convey. Also Obama being broke at 40 and feeling like a loser was probably narrowed down to that one incident taken out of context. I bet you money it's probably like Obama was broke because of spending a lot of $$$ on a failed first time presidency run (which why he says his marriage was strained and felt like he took a wrong turn). He was also pretty successful in his own right. Graduated from Harvard and Columbia are no ordinary feats. I don't think that quite defines "losers" as most of us would see it. Half of us are struggling with careers, finances and other problems lmao
