6	Are women scared of men? Literally and without exception, every woman I know has been sexually assaulted to some degree. At minimum groped, and at worst raped and beaten. The former is obviously more common than the latter, but it is sexual assault. Various studies put the percentage of women who have experienced groping between 50% and 91%. By which I mean I have a mate who's a barrister who particularly enjoys lecturing me on the particulars of our laws. Particularly the sex ones because most of his cases are sexual assault related (he does a lot of "state-appointed defense" jobs). Also, I'm not American, so YMMV in terms of legal specificity. Alcohol certainly affects decision making, but there is also the issue in criminal offenses of mens rea - the guilty mind. In the issue of someone drunk having sex with someone else who is equally drunk, with apparent equal consent from both parties (regardless of how much they might regret it the next day), both parties are equally capable and equally culpable (if either of them regret it).
