How about doing something that has a social stigma (in any context), and then stopping. It's shitty, but even if you come out of jail a completely different person, you're still an ex con. Being known as a person who used to do anything that would be in one context or another as socially unacceptable has it's repercussions. You can say what you like. But I've never heard of a guy losing his job because he'd done a porno. Wow, so it's almost like men and women are not seen as or treated the same …

Specifically about the issue in the OP, we're still looking at the choices people make, and the repercussions of those choices. Would we even be having this conversation, if this were a guy who was in jail for 30 years, got a degree and now can't get work as a teacher? It seems that women aren't libel for the decisions they make to the extent that men are.

We're not talking about discrimination here. Who we employ, and the standards that they are chosen by, are completely different than who we date. Look, if I'm dating someone, and then I find out she's religious, I'd end it more or less on the spot. We'd have fundamentally different, and potentially adversarial points of view. In fact there is a list of physical/personality/life choice attributes that I essentially have ZERO tolerance for. I'm not looking for an employee, I'm looking for a WIFE. …

Yea, I've dated women who have Michelle's persona before. At the first opportunity, they'll let you see them without that BS facade.

...You're comparing bias based on life choices, to bias based on race? Seriously? That's the kind of false equivalence being used to fold others into a "cause" that has nothing to do with them. Let's make this a simple as possible: If you are qualified to be a teacher, then you can have the opportunity to be employed as a teacher. If you are qualified to be attractive to certain people, then you can have the OPPORTUNITY to date them. Not all people can be teachers. People make choices to train t…

"She loves me! I can be my real self!" The hard work was only beginning. You should get to the point where maintaining yourself isn't "hard work", so when some woman says she loves you, there is no "letting your guard down". Staying healthy/working out/etc are not things you do to get women, you do those things for yourself.

Wouldn't a prenuptial agreement negate the financial risks divorce would have?

What purpose would calling them out on it serve? I've done that in the past, and it's always failed. In the end, any frustration you have will simply be projected on to her. TD;DR, EPIC DLV. Move on, or take some of the advice above.

Good point. I suppose I was just looking for quick answers, which in reality don't work that well. The article did provide a good amount of insight.

Apparently, it's more important that guys get punished. In some aspects, I don't think the child support system is even meant to support kids. There's not much there to keep deadbeat moms from spending the money on themselves, while telling the kid how useless their dad is.

And this is why I'm learning chinese. I'm not kidding. Of all the curiosity I've had in learning another language, it took a conversation with this HOT taiwanese girl, that went something like this: Me: "... I'll admit that about 60% of the women i've dated have been of asian decent..." Hottie : "I know this one black guy who speaks chinese, and korean fluently. You'll be surprised how much easier it is to pick up asian women, if you speak their native language. Or, at least speak an asian langu…
