Haha. I’d probably try this if I had phone numbers for any females.

12 months is nothing.

Yeah. I didn’t get that one. A lot of people with tattoos just look ridiculous to where it’s almost funny to look at.

Yeah. I wouldn’t say it’s good or anything but you can’t litigate everything. Some terrible things don’t have a legal solution, I’m sure.

Deception? That seems way out of bounds. I honestly don’t realize it was as broad as stated there. I thought it was a pretty narrow definition.

Is that considered rape? I thought rape was overpowering someone to have sex with them. I’m not that familiar with the law.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/22 07:29 PM

Yeah. Exactly. They’re not doing anything I wouldn’t do if I could. I just wish there were more of them and they were open to something called me.

You get to know them slowly and ask many questions.

You watch too much television. Its easy enough to get someone without the internet.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 09:26 PM

That kind of thing is incredibly rare and probably not even worth worrying about. That said, people did okay before the internet and they can do okay without the internet now.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 09:00 PM

Yeah. I also don’t have it and I had the same type of thinking when I read this. From what I understand, social media is pretty bad. Even people who use it a ton probably think that.

If someone googles my name, they might find me but they would have to do a little work and the information they’d be able to get would be very limited. I’ve tried to make sure there is nothing resembling information about me online. I have no criminal background or anything to hide, I just want anyone who wants to know me to ask me directly because I’d be happy to answer them.

You’ve completely lost me.

Where is demanding or threatening coming from? It seems as though the question is about asking out friendly females.

I guess I don’t understand why that would be a problem. Of all the people I’m attracted to, if one is nice to me, why wouldn’t I try with that one?

I know females aren’t so into the idea of casual sex but the vast majority of men are. You’ll just have to accept it or learn to like casual sex yourself maybe. -A guy who has never had any kind of casual sex.

I quit after briefly trying in 2011. There were a lot of scammers on there. That was all I learned.

No. The entire experience has completely mystified me.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 08:58 PM

Not for me. I’d have thought it would have happened a long time ago. I’m still surprised it hasn’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 08:53 PM

I seriously doubt it. Most guys are interested in sex and want to have sex. If it’s all talk/no action, then maybe that’s a BS situation but I don’t think guys have a problem with females talking about it.

I may be. The major, significant things are the same I’m sure.

There are many people similar to me in every way who are married or have had many girlfriends. Nobody would ever be able to predict whom was whom if you didn’t know our dating histories in advance.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 07:07 PM

I am extremely skeptical of any social science data but this has always been the intuition I had about married or long-term couples. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that many that ended in divorce were happy but the couple decided to divorce before things got really bad. While it’s probably a great thing to work through adversity, there is something to be said for acknowledging that not everything is going to last forever in life and moving on to something new isn’t always a b…

Nobody wants to hear it but the reason some people have success and some people have none is a complete unknown. There are many postulations but no one knows the real reason or reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 06:25 PM
1

That’s a complicated question. I can only answer this as a lifelong single man in his 40s. You have the feeling that you missed out on being able to go out with different types of people and having different types of experiences. To get into something long-term with no experience is just knowing one thing and never anything else. I guess it’s better than nothing but it’s not ideal with my history or lack thereof.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 05:18 AM
1

No. I am single though. I’m sure a lot of people who are married are pretty miserable in their own way. I’m sure many seemingly happy married people are also in denial or feel pressure to outwardly misrepresent. That is not to say I’d want to be single if I could choose but there are some upsides.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 05:10 AM

I don’t disagree that some can’t. I have no idea if there are more that can and haven’t had the opportunity or more that can’t but wish they could.

It depends if the female college students are in fields of study that lead to high earnings. Many college degrees are worthless or have very limited upside.

Not responding is one way. The others are something along the lines of making plans and then backing out at the last minute or making plans and then ignoring any confirmation of the plans.

In my experience, females are incredibly rude and cruel on online dating, even more so than in real life. I’d bypass that kind of thing all together.

The “objectifying,” terminology is one of the strangest things I’ve ever heard. When I’m attracted - and I think most men or a great deal of men are similar to me in this - it makes me more interested in them as a person. You wonder who the person is behind that. The “object,” terminology seems completely out of left field. I don’t know if there was a book or something in the past that floated this theory and it was kind of absorbed by the culture at large or where this idea came from.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 10:30 PM

Not sure. I consider myself an average guy with not a lot of feedback on my appearance. I wouldn’t say Ive gotten a lot of vitriol from females in my past. I get the feeling they do kind of look down on me. There is a suggestion through their behavior that I’m not worth their time or getting to know. If they don’t know me and don’t want to know me they can decide to think anything they want whether or not it’s true so I don’t take a lot of offense. It is a little disturbing that a stranger can b…

You hadn’t even asked him out or asked him to spend time together?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 10:02 PM

I’d know them when I’d need to enforce them but I haven’t thought about them at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 09:59 PM

You asked him out on a date? I’m not completely following you. It sounds as though you’re continuing a story where I don’t know the beginning.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 09:57 PM
0

Yeah. I thought the same thing. It isn’t entirely clear. There are some scenarios, if viewed through a particular lens, that can appear to be something entirely different from what they are. I’ve had people in retail interactions who seemed interested in me when dealing with me as a customer but everything turned on a dime when I’d ask them out.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 09:55 PM

Out of curiosity, could you tell me of a time someone rejected you?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 09:52 PM

I’m a man. I don’t really have boundaries but I’ve never needed them. It’s interesting how that kind of thing is so important to you (and others) but never considered by some (me).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 09:50 PM

How does anyone have a way of knowing who is promiscuous or not? It’s not something I can eyeball unless they tell me and they don’t talk to me so they don’t tell me.

What is PUA?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 03:29 PM

That’s not true at all. From my own personal experience, females have no interest in knowing me at all. Without so much as a conversation, they’ve decided I’m not worth getting to know based on what I can only guess is information they’ve decided is true without finding out for themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 12:57 PM

If you think the rejection online is in anyway clear, you have another thing coming.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 12:40 AM

I’ve never had a female friend but if this was their reaction, I’d probably do it. Asking for what you want in exchange, is the most direct way to do things.

I’ll never care. Use online dating at your own peril. I don’t use it. It’s a waste of time.

What do you mean “less than?” Less than what?

I didn’t think it would. Either way, I would discourage reporting.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 06:15 PM

What you are talking about is not the same as reporting someone to a supposed authority.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 06:06 PM

As a 40 year-old guy who has never received a naked picture from a female, I’m keeping that first one if I ever get it. I’ve waited 40+ years for it, I’m definitely keeping it as a souvenir.

People who try online dating - such as me many years ago - are there because no one in real life is interested in us.

I didn’t experience bullying growing up. I’ve never experienced a female liking me either so I guess it evened out in the end.

As a “dejected and dismissed” guy, I don’t think it’s good if more people experience what I experience. The idea shouldn’t be to give anyone a taste of their own medicine but maybe give more people a chance because the cost is relatively low.

I wouldn’t know if it is or isn’t.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:52 AM

Why do you say?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:44 AM
1

Haha. Well that sounds the same as what I was referring to but you didn’t want to say it out loud, maybe. If you went into a date with someone, knowing things would play out that way, would you not be happy?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:39 AM
0

Because most things don’t last and not everything has to be forever. I can see you feel strongly about your point of view and I am not in a position to say you are right or wrong, I’m just interested as to why short-term dating is so rarely sought out.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:37 AM
1

I know. I’ve noticed. As someone who has never really dated or had a girlfriend or someone to have sex with, I would choose that kind of life if I could.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:35 AM
1

No. I know. I’m just curious why more people aren’t interested in something short-term, say less than six months as an arbitrary definition.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:33 AM
3

There is no short-term monogamous?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:21 AM

Outsider opinion, so take with a grain of salt. Most things don’t last so what’s the harm in looking for a few months of fun without expectation and maybe remaining friends or something? Of course, I have no luck with so much as getting a date so this is from someone without that experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:19 AM

I tend to agree with you. Someone else’s discomfort (not actual physical harm) is way too much for me to ever care about.

I’m 40 so kind of grew up with the internet but didn’t really. I think people my age probably have a base skepticism about whatever goes on online even though we probably use it as much as young people in some cases. If someone said they don’t use the internet at all, a person my age would probably be more sympathetic or understand why you would want to steer clear even though we use it often ourselves. Meeting someone online would be a last resort and not something anyone would choose if they c…

Maybe I’m just too old, too undesirable, and/or too dumb to care anymore but if someone has to feign attraction or excitement having sex with me, that’s fine. There seems to be a very arbitrary nature to whether or not you’re chosen so whatever works for them - as long as they’re willing to do it - doesn’t make a difference to me. It’s not worth splitting hairs getting hung up on whether you’re “truly desired,” when you have a willing participant. You can’t get everything you want in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 04:19 PM
1

No. I know. I agree with you regarding both but it’s fine with me if other people think that about me.

Are you able to have sex without paying?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 03:06 AM

I wouldn’t expect it to change dating or make me more desirable. It would make life a little less miserable for some people though. $70 is incredible, if that’s true.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 03:05 AM
4

It’s not ideal but it sure would be nice. It’s better than nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 03:03 AM

Ha. Well I know there is a stark difference from me but can’t speak for other guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 12:23 AM

Fair enough. Maybe I’m not familiar with how things work on here. It’s just very foreign to my way of thinking.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 06:02 PM
2

It doesn’t seem worth mentioning to me, if they’re invisible. It goes without saying you’re only trying with people you’re attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:58 PM
0

Yeah. I don’t know. Getting into anything with any kind of female I’m attracted to is impossible for me. Maybe just cast a wider net. I don’t know why you would care about whether a female is educated or not either.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:57 PM
1

I don’t know that he is. It’s just strange, to me, that he added the descriptor. There may be a problems with semantics here as well. I’m not trying to indict anyone. It just seems weird to worry about people who are not skinny or whatever, if you’re only looking for skinny.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:56 PM
1

I’d love to avoid them but I need some frame of reference.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:54 PM
1

If he’s ignoring them, there is no reason to be concerned with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:35 PM
3

Why complain about people who are invisible to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:35 PM
0

I don’t care what they like or don’t like but just talk to females you find attractive and ignore the others. It doesn’t seem to be something worth worrying about. It’s easy enough to avoid overweight people if you are able to see.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:29 PM
2

Huh? I’m not fat. I just don’t care if other people are. It doesn’t affect me in any way.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:23 PM
1

Ha. Yeah. I bet. It’s not ideal but I don’t know what else I’d be able to do. I know what being alone is like but I don’t know what it’s like to be with someone, even a non-reciprocating stone-female.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:23 PM
1

Very little - a conversation and the slightest effort to get to know me. I agree with you in theory but if I am only working with people unwilling to make any effort, I can only work with what I have.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:07 PM
1

Okay, that’s somewhat reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 04:22 PM
1

I’m not attacking you as a person. Although if you consider your belief in only skinny females as attractive plays that big a role in who you are, then I guess I am. Again, very strange if that’s the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 04:11 PM
6

You’ve thought about this way more than is normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 04:06 PM
4

If it’s irrelevant, leave the person’s frame out of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 04:01 PM
1

That seems a little extreme to say. I am at a little bit of a loss as to why people care so much about someone else’s weight.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 04:00 PM
1

I can’t speak for all guys but they sure don’t know how to “connect,” (if you want to use that weirdo language) with me. Of course, they’ve probably decided they don’t want to beforehand so I’ll never really know.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 03:45 PM
4

In my case, no one reciprocates.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 03:43 PM
8

Why are you so concerned with other people’s weight? You know there is something between slim and overweight, don’t you? Lots of overweight females are attractive anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 03:42 PM
1

Nobody with any worthwhile choice chooses to come here. It’s borne out of despair.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:58 AM
0

Well, as a 40 years-old, sexless man who has never had a girlfriend, I can’t say I disagree. I’m not dumb enough to think Id be anybody’s first choice, but if I did ever meet someone I’d just be happy I ended up where I had always hoped to. I don’t have a lot of control over who comes before me, so I might as well take what I can get.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 05:52 AM

If someone were that desirable, why would they resort to online dating? Just walk around somewhere, find a guy you like, and introduce yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 03:59 AM

I’ve had a chance, in the past, to talk to them but I’m the only one doing the talking on those rare occasions.

If a female ever approached me, I’d be sure it was a scam or a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 02:18 AM

Sexual desire sure. Other desires? I guess but hormones don’t drive other types of desires primarily.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 01:11 AM

I haven’t slept with any non-purchased females and I don’t care at all if women sleep around but I’d like to be included in that. I think the males that say things about females sleeping around have sour grapes if they’re not sleeping with the female in question. I don’t even know any females let alone who sleeps around, so take my conjecture with many granules of salt.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/22 12:48 AM

I think of myself as a very average, regular guy. I don’t run into people interested in me. It just doesn’t happen.

Send a few “settlers,” in my direction please.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/22 11:58 PM

I only have a couple of close friends now and that’s really all I wanted or needed. I don’t think I could divide my attention amongst a lot of people. Do you live by yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 04:19 PM

I can hardly speak english.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 04:17 PM

Did those things appeal to you? They had no appeal to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 04:01 PM

Did you like it? I just really struggle with reading and writing and knew I wouldn’t like the experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 03:53 PM

I was the same at 18 but never even applied to colleges and never went. Did you end up going?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 03:49 PM

Why they’re not interested in me or even slightly curious.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 03:46 PM

Is English your first language?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/22 03:42 PM
2

Thanks for the séance.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 11:56 PM
3

Oh okay. I am a culprit though.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 10:05 PM
2

Ha! Hey, I think you may be talking about me!
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 09:54 PM
0

I said she didn’t try hard enough and they had an arrangement? I have no idea where you’re getting that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 08:32 PM
2

I’ve noticed that kind of language. I don’t know that anyone ever claims they’re “owed,” whatever they’re talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 08:28 PM
0

Any of us can be wrong. We have no way to verify her claims.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 06:54 PM
0

It sure is.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 06:19 PM
0

My mother doesn’t want me to and I don’t want to. She also needs my assistance.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 05:28 PM
1

I think it does. Ignorance is better than trying to take advantage of someone. Ignorant people can probably get the idea sooner or later (in theory) but bad-faith actors get the idea but don’t care.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 05:26 PM
0

Not happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 05:18 PM
1

Yeah. That’s what I thought when I read it. She was wrapping herself in the indignant flag. At least that was my impression.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 05:17 PM
1

Gas up?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 05:11 PM
0

That could be true. It does sound a little manufactured and embellished to me. I have no way of knowing for sure though.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 05:09 PM
1

Ha. It’s all relative!
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 05:02 PM
1

Yeah. You’re definitely right in your last two paragraphs but I don’t even really think I was “taking his side.” It just sounds as though he was maybe a doofus in the scenario but not a malevolent doofus.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 05:01 PM
1

I’m at work so can’t really watch but I always spell it, “omelette.” I may now use “omeleto,” because it sounds kind of cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:56 PM
1

I don’t know. I’m not familiar with that one. I don’t buy that people change all that much though. It sounds like revisionist history, whomever is saying it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:49 PM
1

I’ve been here maybe nine months or so but browse sporadically so don’t get a good feel for ebbs and flows in sentiments.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:48 PM
1

I think I probably have some bias because my friends are guys and I don’t have a lot of contact with females outside of my family but I do try to be fair. It’s just one scenario. I’m not even siding with the guy. I just think it’s silly to be upset with him when she’s not really trying to get to know what kind of person he is before moving in (best case scenario). Why would you think I am somehow loyal to males because of my opinion in this one scenario?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:47 PM
1

I’m a somewhat new to here so not entirely familiar with patterns or trends but I’m not saying you females are always wrong when you’re upset if that’s what you’re thinking.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:40 PM
1

This is one scenario. I didn’t realize this extrapolates to every males vs. female scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:39 PM
1

Well, I’ll plead some amount of ignorance because I’ve never lived away from my family - and never had any kind of living problems along these lines - so these problems seem a little manufactured from my point of view. I don’t think anything you’re saying is necessarily wrong. It just seems a little late in the game to decide they’re problems when it’s probably the way the person has always been.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:38 PM
1

I’m sorry. I didn’t read the second paragraph. No I don’t have any stake in male vs. female. Where are you getting that?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:34 PM
1

Team man? What?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:32 PM
1

No one has a time machine but why move in with that kind of person? They don’t completely change their lifestyle once you move in together, as far as I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:30 PM
1

I don’t disagree but you would know if they’re that kind of person beforehand, I sure hope. Why the rush to move in?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:26 PM
0

I’m not moving to meet a female. They’re not doing anything for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:25 PM
1

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:23 PM
2

I don’t have strong feelings either way. It sounds as though she got a bug in her head that things weren’t “fair,” and decided to make a big deal about it. I can’t say whether it truly was or not. I don’t have enough information. There are multiple ways to respond that wouldn’t be unreasonable. I guess breaking up could be one. Her anger is misplaced either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:22 PM
0

Hahaha. That’s a new one. Cleaning up for company is now, “painting a false narrative.”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:16 PM
0

Why can’t they decide what should be done with household responsibilities beforehand?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:06 PM
2

I live in a very small town surrounded by other small towns. I can’t get any kind of female interaction and my pool is very limited.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:57 PM
1

I don’t know any females outside of my family so that one is way over my head.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:56 PM
6

I’m not feeling bad about myself. It’s just too much trouble at this stage and with covid, I can’t even tell who’s attractive with a mask on.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:55 PM
1

No. I know but they will be exclusively male. I still don’t think the majority of males are interested in joining clubs (completely uninformed guess).
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:48 PM
1

What you expect to be done and how you want things done should be agreed on. Why wouldn’t it?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:37 PM
0

What do you mean when you say, “an abundance mentality?”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:36 PM
24

Hahaha. I think this is what they call ,”leaving out information that may put yourself in a bad light.”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:33 PM
-1

I think it’s wrong but if you never agreed to something beforehand, you can’t be upset with someone breaking a non-existent agreement. Also, it depends, they may shouldering another burden that you are leaving out.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:26 PM
-2

If you are going to be angry with anyone in that scenario, it should be yourself. They actually are the victim because they didn’t do anything anything wrong. You just changed your mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:19 PM
-1

Either you never came to an agreement or he’s not a reliable person and you wanted to live with this unreliable person. Neither one puts you in a good light. It’s not hard to find out who is reliable and who isn’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:13 PM
0

I think it depends what you agreed on beforehand, in that scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:09 PM
18

I’ve never had a girlfriend but isn’t it a two-way street? You don’t just tell someone to “fix it,” if you’re not willing to do it yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:04 PM
1

It was but why would you think I’m upset?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:49 PM
1

That was out of left field. Why would I be upset with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:46 PM
4

I don’t think males are interested in joining clubs or events in general aside from looking for sex. I’d guess any club where a male is interested in the subject matter would be almost exclusively male. A lot of guys will still never join any type of club or group. I just don’t think a lot of us even think that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:41 PM
1

I’m not even sure what they are. I don’t use online dating and haven’t in over 10 years.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:31 PM
2

It’s true. If everyone else is doing it, it must be right.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:30 PM
2

They sure are.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:27 PM
3

You think it’s the ratio and not that females are more “on guard?” I don’t remember the ratios well enough to say if the males outnumbered the females by any significant margin.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:26 PM
1

You would look bad if someone saw you with a person no one else wanted.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:24 PM
14

We’ll show them (not that they were ever looking).
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:22 PM
1

I am not a bar guy but remember hearing the advice that it was a good place to meet people and trying back in the early 00s or so. People actually seemed a little more hostile to me approaching them in bars. Maybe hostile isn’t the word but I’ve had friendlier experiences just approaching people at stores.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:21 PM
2

So you’re not interested in someone who hasn’t had success in the past? That’s what you’re saying or no?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:10 PM
6

Haha. It used to be the other way around.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:09 PM
2

Have they shut off dating options or are there just too few looking to meet someone? I’ve always thought it was the latter.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 02:07 PM
3

It’s worse not worst.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 01:59 PM
1

I played sports my entire life through high school. Exercise is just boring as hell and a parody in itself. To this day, I’ll throw a ball around or shoot a basketball if someone has one but I couldn’t imagine lifting any kind of weights or running in place for any reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 01:58 PM
1

I haven’t looked at them. Advice doesn’t work for me. I have learned to steer clear.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 01:45 PM
42

Hi. I’ve given up.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 01:42 PM
6

It’s not frustrating with any particular person but after many consecutive, it sure is.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 01:40 PM
1

I have no experience dating but it probably takes a long time to verify these kinds of claims in real life. That seems to go without saying - anyone can say anything. Someone repeatedly trying to make claims we all know are unverifiable is almost begging for skepticism.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 03:56 PM
5

I was going to say. I wouldn’t think twice about whether a female is “confident,” (whatever that means) or not. I’m not sure why she keeps trying to say how confident she is but it does raise suspicion.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 03:50 PM
1

I think it could work, in theory, but it’s too ripe for scammers.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 08:13 AM
1

It hasn’t affected me because no female is interested in me anyway. I don’t think I’d think differently about it if there were females interested in me but how can I say for sure?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 05:26 AM
3

I’ve never seen someone “inject heroin.” I don’t think it’s something people do in front of an audience but what do I know?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 04:08 AM
9

What are you talking about? Nobody is forcing you to be involved with someone overweight. It seems easy enough to avoid without any trouble or letting it occupy your mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 04:06 AM
7

600 lb. people are extremely rare. I’m not sure I’ve seen more than a few in my life but I have no idea of other people’s weight. I’m just guessing. It has no effect on me. I couldn’t imagine ever caring.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 04:04 AM
8

What on earth are you talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 04:00 AM
11

I don’t buy it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 03:59 AM
5

Fat or thin or anything in between, none of them are interested in me so I guess it doesn’t make a difference what they are to me. Also, it’s “their,” not “there.”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 03:57 AM
15

Why would you care if another person is fat or overweight? How does it affect you in any way?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 03:44 AM
1

I’ve approached females and they were never interested. They’ve never reported me for anything. I don’t even know what they would report me for. It’s not against the law to ask a stranger for their phone number or on a date. They were never interested in me but there was nothing to be afraid of. I’m not sure where you’re getting this idea that there is.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 02:40 AM
1

Nobody is asking much of me - an undesirable single guy in his 40s - so this doesn’t exactly ring true from where I stand. It sounds as though the females demanding things of males are males in their past and not people like me. I guess I haven’t paid a great deal of attention because I’m not the target audience. They just don’t care about me and that sucks for me because I would ideally like to get to know females and date. On the other hand, they’re not asking anything of me either so generic …
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 02:01 AM
1

“Ideology [I] identify with?” Is this a way that people actually think? You’re allowed to have your own opinions, as far as I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/22 07:38 PM
1

Well with one you have a person giving something up either to help someone or against their will. In the other you have two people doing something they both want to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 10:57 PM
1

No experience with either but how do they equate to taking someone’s money - voluntarily or involuntarily?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 10:53 PM
1

Whoa. That was out of left field. Why bring marriage into this?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 10:24 PM
1

I don’t see the analogy between sex and taking money from someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 10:19 PM
2

I can only give you my experience so all the disclaimers apply. Almost every time I’ve tried to talk to a female there seems to be an implicit request to entertain them in some way. I think the idea that you think you can sit back and ask someone to put on a show for you while doing nothing for the other person isn’t a great way to start things.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 07:56 PM
1

All right. “You,” doesn’t apply to me directly but it also does.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:59 PM
1

Then why were you asking me directly?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:58 PM
1

You’re in a better position to clarify your own words than I am.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:50 PM
2

“Let me get this straight, you think you are owed sex from the society just because you believe you cannot attain it? If thats not the case please clarify I'm trying to understand you.”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:46 PM
2

Yes other people have different experiences - they cannot attain it as you can. How does that equate to “I am owed sex?”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:42 PM
2

Where have I ever said that I am “owed sex?” I would love to know.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:36 PM
2

I have no idea what you are talking about. You’re putting words in my mouth. You didn’t bother to quote me.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:32 PM
2

Where are you getting that from?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:26 PM
1

You can believe that but other people have different experiences than yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:22 PM
2

“If no one wants you, you don't become a miserable POS and complain, and abuse or judge other people. You work on yourself. If you don't want to. Then thats no one's problem but yours.”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 02:12 PM
1

Ha. Yes. You are right.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 12:58 PM
2

How do you reconcile that it is your problem with the last sentence in your diatribe?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 12:57 PM
4

I don’t know. I agree with you in theory but it appears to be enough of your problem that you wrote a three paragraph diatribe complaining about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 12:33 PM
11

Sexually and romantically unsuccessful guy chiming in. I’m not sure why someone in my position would use social media at all. It‘s certainly not for us.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 12:27 PM
1

It’s not a big deal. It just sounds like a teenage girl-style of speaking.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 10:47 PM
1

Have I?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 06:59 PM
2

Haha. Thanks but I’m screwed.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:57 PM
3

I agree with the rest of what you said.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:56 PM
6

Yeah. I ask someone out on a date and they actually follow through with meeting me.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:55 PM
1

No one wants to meet me.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:54 PM
5

Most people didn’t go to college until the 1970s or so.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:52 PM
-1

Is “I mean,” followed by a question mark a coherent way of speaking or writing in your mind?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:42 PM
4

The biggest failure for someone like me is that there are no females interested in meeting someone. I can “view,” things however I want but that isn’t going to change.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:38 PM
1

I can’t tell if other men are attractive or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:26 PM
13

Of course it’s a hoax. Do you think the concept even existed before ubiquitous marketing/advertising?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:24 PM
1

“Drive without a Face,” is my favorite Billy Idol song.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 11:36 AM
1

Somebody has to do minimum wage work but I guess they should stay out of your view.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:33 AM
3

It’s called grounding.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 03:15 AM
4

I don’t agree with that theory.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/22 12:28 AM
1

It’s actually called a “massage therapist.” All kidding aside, if there is any consolation, I used to be a fairly aggressive guy who had no luck.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/22 10:36 PM
2

Yeah. I see them as separate entities, entirely.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/22 09:50 PM
3

I do too. Anyway, there are a lot of talented guys - who will tell you they want to be the best ever and mean it (ambition) - that are known to be lazy in work ethic, etc.? On the other side of the coin, there are people who take care of all of their obligations and more who aren’t particularly ambitious.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/22 09:45 PM
2

I see what you’re saying. Do you follow sports at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/22 09:18 PM
0

I’m not sure why you would think they are because they don’t have a lot to do with each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/22 09:09 PM
10

Laziness and non-ambitious aren’t the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/22 08:45 PM
7

Why does he need to be ambitious if money doesn’t matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/22 08:38 PM
1

I think it’s unusual but not bad or good.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 10:45 PM
6

Yeah. That’s fine but it sounds like even more than that. As though, they are less evolved or something along those lines.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 04:12 AM
2

Of course they aren’t all dumb - or even dumb at all - they just seem that way to me. It doesn’t matter, you don’t know until you get to know them.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 03:23 AM
1

There is a trial and error element to life. You can’t avoid the error.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 02:26 AM
1

I could see how a bad experience getting to know someone could turn you off but not how a good experience could turn you on.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 02:26 AM
2

If you need a strategy, you might have a problem. I need one and I have a problem. Ha! In all seriousness, it’s trial and error until it works. If you try something 50 times before you’re successful, the first 50 tries aren’t a waste of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 01:36 AM
1

It still seems like a neutral behavior towards arousal.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 01:35 AM
2

Because it’s worth a try, if you’re actually looking, and the other one isn’t a certainty either.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 01:33 AM
2

Yeah. I don’t disagree with that part. I just don’t know how that’s turning you on sexually.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 01:31 AM
1

Stats don’t say anything on an individual level.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 01:30 AM
-4

Not being sarcastic. The only people I really know are people I’ve known for years. If you find them sexy, you should be aroused by them. I’m not sure how some kind of weirdo conversation is going to turn you on.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 01:04 AM
4

It may or it may not. I never went to college. People who did seem pretty dumb, as far as I’m concerned.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 01:01 AM
-3

You won’t know someone very well for probably 5-10 years. Even after that it’s often questionable. You might as well have fun in the form of sex in the meantime.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 12:49 AM
8

On her level? What does that mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 12:46 AM
5

I haven’t used online dating in over 10 years but the females on there were incredibly rude to me - in my opinion - what were you doing to make it a better experience for me?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 11:52 PM
3

Eh, don’t buy it. My experience, in life, would be a lot different if this were true.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 11:26 PM
1

Don’t you mean places? It’s not outer space.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:50 PM
1

They’re not quitting, they were probably never there. There are very few single females looking to meet someone so you won’t see them using a website that has no appeal to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:48 PM
5

I don’t buy that most single women are open to something. If they were, I’d have a lot more demand.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:46 PM
6

In all fairness, females online may say that but those are people online who probably prefer online. I’ve tried to introduce myself to strangers in real life and while some of them haven’t exactly been friendly, they acted a lot worse trying to talk to them online.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 08:01 PM
1

You can’t fix it. People think they have carte blanche to act however they want online. Until that changes - it never will - it will always be a terrible medium for trying to meet someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 07:58 PM
1

I completely agree with you about the caloric model. However, many people are metabolically deranged from childhood - through no fault of their own - that it is impossible to just change their diet. Hormones drive them towards foods, that makes weight loss difficult, in a way they don’t with people who have never had a weight problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 06:41 PM

Not enough information to make the second category predictions about the future of earth. We don’t even know what we don’t know about factors playing a role in earth’s future.

Nobody can predict the future very well. That is not to say they will be right or wrong. Take it with a grain of salt. People overestimate their knowledge and understanding of the world.

Try bottles and cans. I can tell you where to take them.

The guys might try whatever the intent.

Well, I know of a recycling outfit that gives you 6¢ per bottle or can. If you have a lot of returns, I can tell you where to take them.

How much do you need?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 08:41 PM

What do you want?

I guess. I’m not into it. That isn’t to say I’ve never used a mirror in my life. I just don’t get turned on by looking at myself. That’s the part I cannot relate to at all.

I’m sorry man. I wish I could look back and tell you I made some kind of mistake (kind of useless anyway since you don’t have the same information at the time) but I can’t do that. There is nothing I can tell you I did or didn’t do that has led me to the position I am currently in.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 06:18 PM
1

I think most are better off than me but I don’t think they’ve done that well. I’m sorry. I can’t give you a lot of good information because I mostly keep this to myself and don’t talk about it with other people. I also don’t talk to anyone I went to school with at this point so can only go by how it was at the time.

I think few guys did well (or appeared to, I never got that into it) in that domain but a lot were just like everyone else and some were like me with no luck at all.

I’ve tried talking to females at drinking establishments with zero luck. They are actually a little less friendly than when I’ve just tried talking to them at stores or wherever. I think they may be a little more on guard in those types of places. Maybe I wasn’t there late enough for them to be at the right level of intoxication. I have no idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 03:19 PM
1

Relative to nothing my entire life, it’s nothing to sneeze at.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 03:16 PM
1

No. “Self-improvement” is a way for industry to sell you more of something. Almost every person will tell you they’re trying to improve themselves but many are worse off than they were before. There is nothing wrong with being happy - or at least accepting - of who you are and expecting that others can appreciate you for who you are as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/22 10:30 PM
1

At least they’re meeting you. I couldn’t get anyone to meet me when I tried dating online many years ago.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/22 10:24 PM
2

I’m 40 and I haven’t had a dating life. I have no real goal aside from getting to know people and vice versa, seeing where it goes, no expectations either way. I’d like to be able to have a sex life at some point but that may not be so easy or possible at my age. I wanted to and thought I would get married when I was younger but that never worked out so I’m starting from ground zero.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/22 10:19 PM
1

Well “closure,” is BS word but it’s rude and inconsiderate to just stop talking to someone out of nowhere, if that’s what you mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/22 10:11 PM
3

Ha. Well, yeah, I think we’ve been hearing this for many years. I’d think I could get someone to meet me all of this not withstanding.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/22 01:49 AM
3

I’ve heard about this phenomenon tangentially but it’s never come close to working out for me? I guess it may be true but it doesn’t explain why no female would meet me and I’m nothing nearly as bad as any of these reported guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/22 12:30 AM

I was going to say, that sounds like most guys. I don’t think anyone’s batting an eye because males masturbate.

Sounds like an obnoxious term.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 06:43 PM

A Karen?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 06:24 PM
3

Well one isn’t better than the other. At least you can get a degree of satisfaction in real life, I’d think.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 06:17 PM
5

I’m all for complaining on the internet (where else can you?) but you’re talking as though being a jerk is okay because you don’t know the people here in real life. The problem is you do. There are people similar to those here, with similar opinions and complaint, wherever you go. You just can’t eyeball them. You’re not any nicer a person just because you can’t see each other’s face.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 06:10 PM
7

That is my suspicion. I can’t see why I would be here if things were going a lot better but my experience isn’t necessarily representative of others. That said, I can’t imagine the rationale that a person happy with their life just needs a place full of miserable people to mock.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 06:06 PM
1

You can’t really improve your looks but advertising would like you to believe that so they can sell you more BS. Sure you can dress up nicely or whatever but you’re really only tweaking a small mount of your appearance at the margins. You pretty much are what you are when it comes to appearance.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 05:43 PM
1

I’ve never rejected a female. I wonder if there is any truth to this.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 05:34 PM
2

I wish that were true for me. Although, I’d rather they turn me down in person because people are incredibly rude online.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 05:27 PM
2

Haha. Sounds about right.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 04:54 PM
2

How would a guy meet someone by leaving females alone?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 03:46 PM
0

I don’t care so much about the “wanting to be desired” aspect. There seems to be a very arbitrary element to desirability from females so I don’t take it too seriously. The problem is I have no way to verify I’m getting what I’m paying for and even if it was as cheap as $200, it’s still somewhat expensive to do consistently. Seeing them once weekly would be close to $10k a year. I know it may be expensive to have a girlfriend but I don’t think it costs $10k a year or thereabouts.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 03:14 PM
5

I don’t disagree with you but it’s not realistic for a lot of us. I’ve heard it’s a lot more than that but I admittedly don’t know. A lot of guys don’t have $200 or infrequently do. If you live in a large city, you may have your pick but a lot of us live in small towns where these types of people are not easy to find and if you do, it’s not always easy to vet for scammers or muggers. The fact that it’s illegal in most places in the US also puts you at some risk for arrest and prosecution. A reco…

I’m 40 and still waiting for that one.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 02:52 PM
1

If you’re talking about appearance, maybe your attraction can change when you get to know someone. If you’re talking about anything else relevant, you won’t know that information until you get to know someone. The idea behind, “lower your standards,” is you don’t know how you’ll actually feel about someone unless you give them - and yourself really - a chance to get to know them and find out who they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 09:40 AM
2

As a rule of thumb, I never take these surveys seriously for this - among many other - reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 09:35 AM
3

Is this a joke? Multiply your experience by a much much larger number with no successful attempts in between - to make it seem somewhat worthwhile - and then get back to me. You asked one guy out.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 09:18 AM
1

I love your optimism (not kidding) but it never works that way. People don’t just stop doing things you or I don’t like en masse. There is a reason they keep doing them but we either don’t know the reason, are incapable of knowing the reason, or know the reason and have no ability to use the knowledge to our advantage. It’s a tragedy of our own limitations as people.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 12:55 AM
2

Well regarding your last paragraph, you only control you (let us suppose) and everyone else controls themselves. There are more of everyone else than there is of you so what you do is pretty irrelevant in the grander scheme/grand scale. As for your first, all except C mean different things to different people. I’m sure you and I - or any two people - would never be able to come to an agreement on many examples of those behaviors in real time.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 12:47 AM
1

Let’s not project our own or immediate circle’s experiences on the entire dating game. It sucks for me and a lot of the guys I know (I don’t know that many people) but misery loves company and it may be fine for the vast majority of people, for all I know. I think if it was taken as a given that there is an arbitrary element to our success and failure, there wouldn’t be so much disappointment on the losers’ end and moral superiority on the winners’ end. Desirability shouldn’t say as much about w…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 12:40 AM

Well I have no idea what females are looking for but personality isn’t a static, fixed entity. You’re talking about it as though it is. You could sell it but nobody would know what they’re getting.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 05:53 PM
1

It’s probably just me. I’m just not familiar with a lot of the terms I see here.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 10:16 PM
2

Third, fourth, and next to last paragraphs of the first section. Might just be me. I don’t really know what red and blue pill means but not that important. I think nice guy might mean something else in your book. I thought it just meant a nice person.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 07:15 PM
1

This is very convoluted and garbled and have no idea what a lot of the jargon you’re using is supposed to mean. Aren’t nice guys just nice people?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 06:59 PM

People complain because there isn’t anything they can do about it. If there was something we could do, we wouldn’t spend so much time complaining. The least we can do is allow those of us in an unenviable position to complain about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 06:20 AM
1

It feels good to beat up on other people especially when they, “bring it on themselves and deserve what they (don’t) get.”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 06:55 PM
1

Eh. I guess but I think I’d go crazy if I thought I could control that much in life. I’m more comfortable knowing I can do the best I can with the information I have but at the end of the day, I’m one of many people and most of the world doesn’t care about me or my intentions.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 06:52 PM
2

People who have success are doing the right things. If you do the right things you will have success. If you do the right things and don’t have success, then you must be doing something else to undo the right things you’re doing. It never fails.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 06:43 PM
3

I don’t think it’s stupidity so much as a desire to believe that we have more control over life outcomes than we actually do.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 06:35 PM
2

I’m not sure where that is coming from. Undisciplined in what regard?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 06:31 PM
1

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 06:29 PM
2

What about those of us that are happy with who we are but would like to meet someone and think people can appreciate us for who we are?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 05:51 PM
1

I’m not even sure what that means.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 05:40 PM
2

It’s fine but you need something there, in terms of interest, to begin with. What nobody seems to want to discuss is what the people, who have no interest from females to start with, are supposed to do? You’re taking a very critical factor for granted.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 05:33 PM
1

The problem is some of us are just moving to new “targets,” ad infinitum.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 05:31 PM
6

They have to like you too. You don’t just decide they like you. There is a person on the other end making their own decision on that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 05:24 PM

He’s reversing cause and effect. The behavior of guys who have limited or no sexual opportunities will always be fair game for some people because they know the result beforehand.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 05:19 PM
7

Eh. Sounds nice in theory and may make you feel powerful or whatever you’re going for but they have to want your attention in the first place. I’m a guy whose attention females have no particular use for. I can pretend I’m snubbing them - that is what I think you’re talking about - but if they’re not interested in my attention to begin with, they’re never going to care or even notice. I’ve ignored females - or not started conversations with them - for several years at a time and you know what ha…

It seems to just be part of the game to me. Not a good or bad thing. If you want to be sure you’re attracted to them just ask out people you see in real life.

I don’t know if I buy that one. Gay men don’t have sexual opportunity deficits from what I understand.

I don’t think that many males are asking their mothers for that kind of advice. That is not to say they should or shouldn’t. I don’t think they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 10:20 PM
25

Usually single mothers are out working multiple jobs or long hours. They don’t have as much time to micromanage in that way. I think you are mixing up two different phenomena.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 08:55 PM
2

I’d own up to it if I thought I was responsible for my predicament. Of course, I have no theory about why I am single. Not everyone gets a fair shake in life and we just have to live with it without ever knowing why sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 07:29 PM

My parents were older so I don’t know if that’s relevant but they never gave me any type of advice in this realm. I think you are overestimating the amount of advice parents are giving children and the willingness of children to listen to their parents.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 07:27 PM
1

No. The more you make the better, I guess but I don’t care. I’d rather they not work and if they did work, I’d rather not hear about their job.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 06:14 PM
1

Well I’m sure it has happened but I’m skeptical that it was ever common practice. My parents were engaged in the 50s and I know they didn’t do anything like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 05:36 PM

I’m from a small town and live in a small town. I’ve never heard of asking someone’s father about marriage aside from television and movies. I’ve lived in a large city as well but no difference in luck either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 05:30 PM
1

No. I never have. They don’t see me as worth having any kind of conversation with. That rules out friendship and more.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 03:24 PM
1

I only see it from my point of view, I guess. Desirability is something you either have (I don’t have it, from what I understand) or you don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 03:10 PM

I’m willing to test this theory but cannot find any takers.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 02:42 PM

I think it’s a bad commentary that females need to evaluate themselves so often and that this evaluation carries so much weight? What is wrong with being neutral to your own appearance and letting others decide for better or for worse? It seems to me that many things like attractiveness are out of our hands.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 02:35 PM
0

No. I haven’t but my experience is meaningless with regard to these things and nothing to go by. It seems hard for me to believe a really attractive but inexperienced female would be less desirable but I could be wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 02:16 PM
1

No. You need experience to have that understanding. I’m sure many of us can learn.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 02:06 PM
1

Hi. I’m one of those guys. We usually keep trying or give up. I’m closer to giving up but I’d still like to meet someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:58 PM
5

There do seem to be a number of females that will not give an inexperienced guy a chance no matter what or who the guy is. How large this subset is, I have no clue. I couldn’t see a guy doing this but I may be wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:57 PM

I’m not trying to impress anyone. Nobody here even knows who I am. I’m not sure where that idea is coming from.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:44 PM

My brain isn’t the one emanating semi-literate screeds.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:41 PM
1

Huh? That was barely even literate. What does it mean to, “have very little social cue?”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:37 PM
1

Though, not “tho.” Who actually spells that way? You want people to take you seriously and you’re making it very difficult.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:32 PM
1

Seriously, it looks terrible. I wasn’t trying to be a jerk. You need to stop speaking that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:24 PM
1

Is “old man,” supposed to be some type of insult to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:22 PM
1

It wasn’t snide. A lot of people on here seem to think using the word “like,” in that way is respectable. It’s not. It makes you sound like a dumb teenager.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:18 PM
2

Whether it’s for male attention or not, wasting your time slapping on makeup to make yourself look better - whether it’s in your eyes or others - isn’t earning you any respect. You either have it or you don’t. If it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/21 01:13 PM
1

I think you can’t do one without the other. If you’re going to “give people a chance,” you’ll need to suspend your reservations and act as thought you’re really interested in them - for a period at least - to truly find out if you’re missing something. If you go into it with the attitude that you probably won’t like them but you guess you’ll give it a try, you’re probably not learning anything new. Also, if you really want to “improve yourself,” stop using the word “like” in the beginning of sen…

5’8” and 118 lbs is an emaciated female.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 09:20 PM

I’m not sure where you’re getting that. The “object” terminology doesn’t even occur to me ever. It’s very much out of nowhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 09:05 PM
1

I’ve never done it but I’m not meeting anyone anywhere else. If it’s been taking what I can get or nothing at all, I’ll take someone I work with.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/21 05:40 PM
1

Nobody sees females as an “object.” I see a lot of that terminology on here and I don’t know where it comes from. Not a single person sees anyone as an “object.” It goes without saying that there is a person behind everyone we see. This way of speaking is just incredibly unusual to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/21 05:38 PM
1

I have no idea what females find upsetting because I don’t use any kind of social media nor do I know any females outside of my family. I’m upset by many things but no one who doesn’t ask me is going to know about them. I think those kinds of expressions of feelings should be reserved for those who ask or are interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/21 05:11 AM
1

The expression, “live and learn,” seem applicable here. I think living and learning involves understanding - as we get older - that most things in life just aren’t going to work out the way we hope they will. Most of the time we will be disappointed with how things work out but it’s not necessarily anybody’s fault so there is no reason for resentment or animosity.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/21 05:01 AM
2

I have no familiarity with this type of environment. I’m not sure why multiple people are interested in one person. The idea should be not to compete with others but to make it as easy as possible to get someone for yourself. At least that would be my thinking about the situation you’re referring to.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/21 04:32 AM
1

I wouldn’t expect you to know their personality just from seeing them in public.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/21 03:41 AM
1

Interesting. I don’t know enough about this theory or phenomenon to give a commentary or opinion. It seems plausible, although I have no idea when you can conjecture suicide vs. poor decision-making. I’ve always thought the reason the male/female ratio decreased was due to more males dying after birth or in the early years of life but I’m not even sure where I got that idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/21 06:18 PM
1

I don’t agree or disagree. I have no experience with females and don’t have much of an opinion. I’d just never heard that particular term before.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/21 07:16 AM
1

No. Fewer men are. I think it’s been this way for longer than 10-12 years. That was my biggest complaint about the survey.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/21 01:40 AM
1

No. That’s exactly what I was saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/21 10:12 PM
2

I can’t say I’ve ever even had the hi experience. Females have asked me for directions if they’re lost but I don’t think it was because they were interested in me. They really were lost or unfamiliar with the area.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/21 05:40 PM

It’s about younger people not the population at large. Females, on average, marry older males. That’s why there are more single females as you get to older segments.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/21 09:16 PM
3

Yeah. That’s a special faction/fraction of younger people at large.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/21 08:09 PM

I “approach” or at least I used to. Don’t we all have the right to complain? It’s what the internet is there for.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/21 08:00 PM

I think “entitlement” is the wrong term. Nobody seriously thinks it’s a right. People usually believe it’s good to help the less fortunate when they think they’re the less fortunate but not so good when it’s someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/21 07:10 PM

I had a miserable online experience but its end result was no different. I don’t think people who have trouble online would necessarily have a better life if there was no online dating (mine is unchanged). I do think people feel emboldened to jerk others around, play games for their own amusement at the expense of another person, and do generally rude things when they’re hiding behind online anonymity. There is almost no downside to acting in bad faith.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/21 07:05 PM
1

What do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/21 06:32 PM

I don’t buy this survey. Single men have outnumbered single women since well before the 10s.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/21 05:55 PM

I guess i’m thinking if someone does something I don’t agree with or I’m not comfortable with, on a date or something (I don’t date but let’s say I did). I’d probably just tell them I’m not comfortable with that but not get in their face or ask them to answer for their behavior because I don’t think they answer to me. At least so long as we’re not a couple or whatever people call it now.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/21 11:04 PM

I’m not against it but there is no reason to go into something looking to confront the other person. You may be referring to a long-term situation, I’m not sure.

I think all except virgin are good rules of thumb for either sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/21 10:43 PM

I am not at all attracted to them but I don’t want anyone to feel bad about something they were born with. All of that said, I think it’s extremely rare to see a female with a male physique. It’s not something I see frequently by any stretch of the imagination.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 05:50 PM
1

No! I don’t think these people are very well known but I just may not know.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 05:11 PM

Oh boy. I think it’s a sign of age when you don’t recognize any of these people.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 05:01 PM

I don’t play video games.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 04:27 PM
1

Why not? I know people in my family who have.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 04:24 PM
1

That’s your experience/your opinion and yours only. You’re not a “representative” for all females. People meet by accident in places not “designated” for dating all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 04:22 PM
1

Let me get this straight, you’re a female looking to meet someone. You would very much like to meet someone. However, you are not interested in meeting someone unless it is in a designated place? Life doesn’t work that way. Things don’t happen only in places where they are “designated” to happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 03:52 PM
1

I don’t go to bars. You usually go to restaurants and sit by yourself or with your friends or family. How do you meet strangers there?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 01:56 PM
1

I think that goes without saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 01:54 PM

Yep.

Easy tiger, it was exaggeration for effect.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 03:29 AM

I wouldn’t expect you to.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 03:28 AM

Off-putting? What does that even mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/21 01:13 AM
2

Yes. I call them females. What exactly are you saying?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 11:02 PM
3

I’m not sure what you’re saying?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 10:57 PM
1

Hahhaha. I’ve tried!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 08:19 PM
4

No. I’m a normal, average guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 07:44 PM
4

Well I wouldn’t say mine are smooth but I’m pretty desperate - or have felt that way in the past, now I’ve just given up - and I’ve introduced myself to people in those kinds of places.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 07:44 PM
4

Trust me. This kind of person doesn’t exist. Everyone learns these things from an adult. They’d have to make the decision at some point that their parents - or whomever taught them this - were conspiring to make them gay. You do realize advice columns are notorious for fake letters done as a joke or some other rhetorical device to get a reaction? I’ve never actually heard of this phenomenon but it has urban myth written all over it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 07:43 PM
5

Why not? If they’re truly desperate, they’ll look wherever they see someone they’re attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 07:38 PM
3

I’ve tried my entire life. It hasn’t worked out. They don’t want anything to do with me and there isn’t a lot I can do about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 07:37 PM
2

He easily gave it up nevertheless. I just don’t believe anyone would take it so far as to not wash or wipe. Everyone learns those things before they even have a concept of sexual orientation anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 07:35 PM
5

Wherever I go - gas station, grocery store, dry cleaners, etc. I’ve tried all of those places.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 07:32 PM
3

I can’t speak for him or anything but are you sure he wasn’t kidding around? I don’t doubt that he didn’t want to taste his bodily fluids but it sounds like he gave an absurd excuse to maybe make light of the situation? You were there and I wasn’t but I could see someone saying it as a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 06:53 PM
0

I don’t know any females outside of my family. I know they haven’t been desperate enough to seek me out so I have doubts about their existence.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 05:38 PM
6

It sounds completely made up to me. It’s a pretty transparent caricature of a homophobic guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 05:21 PM
4

Ha. I’m sure she does.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 05:13 PM
11

I tend to agree with this. There is also a lot of BS posted for reactions online. I’m sorry but I don’t buy that anyone - aside from someone with significant problems - in the world doesn’t wipe or wash.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 05:13 PM
24

More legendary females. I have never seen this type of female in real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 05:07 PM
2

I guess some people are more attractive than others but usually you’re attracted to your girlfriend or wife, I would think. There will probably always be someone more attractive at a given point in time. The “upgrading” would never end.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 01:35 PM
1

Never had a girlfriend but I doubt it works in that way. You can’t just “upgrade” because you have a lot of money or whatever the scenario you think allows that. Most of us don’t see people as “upgrades” or “downgrades” anyway, I don’t think.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 01:29 PM
1

I doubt this kind of thing makes much of a difference if you don’t have a captive audience.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 10:39 AM
2

I’m an average guy and I’d like to have a relationship with an average woman. The problem is there are just very few females looking to meet someone. Maybe the average female is married or single and not looking? I have no idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 06:54 PM
2

What do you mean by matches?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 06:25 PM
7

I’m an average guy and it’s not even a possibility for me. There just aren’t females out there that are interested in meeting someone. I have a few close friends and I think it’s similar for them but not entirely sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 05:58 PM
1

I’m not sure what planet you’re living on. When I tried online dating, almost no one wanted to meet. I don’t think the scenario you stated really happens. Is this a joke of some kind?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 05:54 PM
2

Hahhaa. Sounds a little more interesting. I really hope this is not a native english speaker. The writing is just a “fusion of confusing.”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 02:34 PM
4

It is so far from normal for me that it almost seems inconceivable that it is happening for some people. It’s as though it’s something only seen in movies and television that is extremely rare in real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 02:18 PM
3

I don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting to have sex with someone anyway. Why should anyone feel bad about that?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 12:46 PM
1

I have only done it twice and it was many years ago. It’s not something I would do if I didn’t have to. I can’t speak for all guys on reasons for visiting one. What else is a guy who can’t find anyone supposed to do exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 12:37 PM
3

Who cares? You don’t get rewards points for each person you have sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 12:32 PM
2

Why do you buy into these BS buzzwords? “Emotional availability,” is a meaningless term someone uses when they’re masking their true thoughts and feelings about something. The more you buy into this kind of language, the more confused you’ll find yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 12:29 PM
1

Dating in general has very few single females looking to meet someone. No matter a male’s “standards,” as you say, if there are no females to meet there will be many men left out and alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 12:27 PM
0

Is english your first language? “simple easy?” “black box of confusing?” “black box of fusion of confuses?” What on earth are you even trying to say?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 12:24 PM
13

I don’t use online dating but it’s not a “standards” problem. There are very few females that are single and looking to meet someone. That is going to leave a lot of single males out as a natural consequence.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 02:16 AM
1

I’ve never had one so I don’t know from experience. I’d think one has to be somewhat subservient to the other - either side can be and this pendulum could swing back and forth - but not much beyond that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 03:04 PM
1

You have an idealized vision of life. I agree with you that there is a tragic element to humanity but this is how it always has been.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 02:58 PM
1

Yeah sure but everyone has a different bar - not necessarily yours - and will decide if some other incentive outweighs the incentive that is for the greater good, on a case-by-case type of deal. The only way to do that would be to keep the right incentives in place.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 02:54 PM
1

Sounds nice and I try to do that myself because I am a person of some faith but I’m not going to pretend I am not perfect and haven’t made mistakes at times. Everyone has and could be, “a bad person,” at a given point in time.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 02:49 PM
1

There is no such thing as a “decent human being.” The world isn’t made up of “good people,” and “bad people.” Unless you’re a person of overwhelming faith - almost no one is today in practice, even if people will tell you they are - there will need to be some kind of incentive, however small.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 02:44 PM
2

I think it’s just a guy who isn’t a jerk. I guess it’s not always transparent who’s nice and who isn’t immediately but we usually know it when we see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 02:35 PM
1

I’m not getting married anytime soon but as far as I know the divorce rate has actually decreased from the early 90s. Divorce rates don’t necessarily mean anything to your individual situation anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 02:32 PM
2

In my experience, there was no one on there that was even looking to meet someone. I wouldn’t be so concerned about getting married.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 02:30 PM
1

There is no way to know. Why can’t you be satisfied that this is something no one will ever know?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 10:48 PM
4

I’ve somewhat given up in that I’ve stopped trying to meet females when I’m out and just kind of let them come to me if they want to meet me. I haven’t had anyone approach me. I would be open to someone interested in me though.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 08:19 PM
1

Yeah. I think that there appear to be so few single and looking females would make this a solution for very few males.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 06:25 PM
1

I don’t go to bars or clubs. Just at a coffee shop or if I’m at a store. That’s where I always tried to meet people - places where I’m normally going anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 05:36 PM
1

I don’t know. Maybe just introduce themselves if they were looking for guys and they were attracted. That’s always been how I’ve tried.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 05:33 PM
0

N means what exactly? I guess I’ve just thought, if there are many or any of these people out there, one of them would have sought me out at some point in life. They sure sound like a lot of fun if they do exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 05:29 PM
2

I’ve lived in a large city but still didn’t have much contact with this type of person. I have very little contact with females in general - and really none outside of family members - so that plays a role, I’m sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 05:21 PM
1

Yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 05:19 PM
1

I think people just have fragile egos in general and, as you say, men may react violently whereas that is less common in women or females. On the other hand, there appear to be several things that any idiot - the source doesn’t even matter - can say to a female and their feelings are almost beyond repair with that person. Everyone’s personal insecurities are very precious to themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 05:18 PM
1

They don’t talk to me if they are. I’ll believe it when I see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 05:11 PM
3

Who are these legendary females sleeping around? I have heard about them but don’t believe the stories until I meet and experience one in that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 05:08 PM
2

No answers from me. I think there are very few females looking to meet someone. If there were roughly equal numbers of males and females looking to meet someone, there could be a social program for matchmaking or dating or something along those lines. If single (and looking) males were to outnumber single (and looking) females in the way they appear to, there would still be quite a few left out.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 04:54 PM
3

I don’t see how what you are saying is even possible. Nobody, aside from a woman’s close friends or family probably, has very much to say about who they are sleeping with. When you’re young and in school, this may be, but not as adults.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 04:08 PM
3

What does it mean to be “pressured” over allowing someone else to touch their genitals? How could I pressure someone to do something with another guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 03:25 PM
-4

I don’t think it does and I wouldn’t expect it to. It’s better than nothing though and sometimes that is a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 03:19 PM
0

I wouldn’t go that far but if it were cheap enough and I were able to get exactly what I’m looking for - I am not asking for a lot - it sure would make things a lot more manageable. I won’t say it’s ideal but something is better than nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 03:16 PM
2

As an undesirable guy, I think you’re a little off the mark as far as other men. After we finish school we don’t know very much about the types of men they’re choosing (or not choosing) instead of us. We usually aren’t seeing those who reject us every day or running into them with their boyfriends. We know it’s not us but not much more because we usually never hear from them. I think any frustration is directed at fate rather than any particular person. I guess we have some degree of resentment …
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 06:23 AM

I’m a single guy in my 40s who’s never had a girlfriend. Of course I have.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/21 03:58 AM

Haha. Unfortunately I’m 40. Singledom just has a suspended adolescence type of effect.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/21 03:20 AM

Never said they hate me. It makes me wonder if it’s more than indifference though. I used the word hate because that’s the wording of the old question. Did you not get the reference? I’m not trying to be a jerk, it sounds as though you took the word hate literally. You’re saying if another woman would have sex with me, someone (me?)must be exploiting her?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/21 02:46 AM
1

I think, at least where I live, there just are not very many females looking to meet someone. You can’t meet people who aren’t there.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/21 12:30 AM
1

I would think so but I’ve never had a female friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 05:07 PM
1

What? I don’t think very many men do that kind enough of thing. Nobody enjoys another person misleading or lying to us but most males just move on with our lives, after we realize what’s happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 05:03 PM
31

As a lifelong single guy, I can’t say I have had many men pressuring me in the way you are suggesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 05:01 PM
1

I don’t think it would change very much at the end of the day. I’d remain barred from marriage or kids. It would be better than nothing, however. For those of us that females don’t care for, a scenario where they have to be nice and accommodating to you, would be a nice change of pace.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 04:38 PM

What? How?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 03:05 PM

My friend got me a prostitute years ago when I lived in the city. I don’t know him anymore nor do I travel to the city very often. Living in a small town, I have no idea how to even find someone who has what I’m looking for or how to verify it’s not an armed robbery scam. Anyway, I digress, unless you have references it is very risky for someone to just hire a prostitute out of an online ad or whoever you would find one. It’s beyond me why females who have no interest in me would rather I put my…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 12:56 AM

Similar scenarios have happened to me many times in the past. I don’t think it’s a case of “flaking” - which suggests they forgot to follow up or forgot about the date - rather them playing a game at your expense. I doubt they ever had any intention of meeting but thought it would be funny to get you excited.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/21 10:30 PM
0

In my unqualified opinion, I don’t buy it. Usually when someone likes another person, they’ll give ambiguous statements the benefit of the doubt. In order for someone to “ruin,” something, they’d have to be saying things that were unambiguously offensive. I just don’t think many men (or women) do that kind of thing routinely.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 07:03 PM
1

Not with me but I can’t speak for other guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 06:46 PM
1

I think you’re right. I wouldn’t say there is or there isn’t. I wouldn’t even necessarily say I’m worth the investment, for the sake of argument. That said, there is no way for someone to know early on. Wouldn’t the smart move he to be accommodating, in case the person is more than they present? The safe move would be to be accommodating, in case this particular guy is a lot more than he initially presents.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 06:34 PM
1

What? Not in my experience. Accommodating me in any way seems to be the last thing any female wants to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 05:50 PM
3

I think it’s BS. I don’t care about sexual history - or even infidelity - especially since I’d probably do the same(as far as promiscuity not infidelity) if that were a possibility for me. I don’t blame anyone for taking advantage of their opportunities for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/21 10:20 PM
1

All right. What you’re saying is a man who is better educated and earning more money is “better” than another man. Do you not realize that both of those things come at the expense of other things? Sorry, my idea of a “good person,” or “better person,” has nothing to do with education and income.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/21 09:57 PM
2

Is this a joke? The concept of “bettering oneself,” is a a myth of advertising. People are what they are. No one is “bettering” or “worsening,” themselves through some kind of self-help book or lifestyle website online. Do people actually fall for this self-improvement BS? Joke is on you if you do.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/21 08:57 PM

What on earth is a, “simp?” Is that short for simpleton? Define the word if you’re using niche jargon.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/21 08:32 PM
1

I have too but it wasn’t something I had to go out of my way to do. If I just do whatever I need to do in life, I’ll almost never have an interaction with a woman. I wouldn’t say females are rude to me per se, but they certainly aren’t friendly.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/21 01:00 AM
2

Not necessarily. I’d guess they don’t think it’s as upsetting to the other side as it actually is or that it doesn’t really count if you’re a jerk online. Just my guess, no actual idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/21 12:12 AM
1

I had that happen many times years ago. I think they are just fooling around online and never had any intention to meet. It’s a prank phone call as far as they’re concerned.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/21 08:21 PM
4

I think if they’re not interested in you, they have no reservations about jerking you around or having a fun at your expense online. There are no repercussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/21 06:44 PM
3

They may be standing there but they’re not interested in talking to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/21 05:53 PM
2

Yeah, exactly. Almost no one wanted to meet me when it came down to it. A few times they made up an excuse or stopped responding after setting a date and time. There are a lot of bad faith actors online.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/21 05:17 PM
6

Haha. This is kind of ridiculous. I don’t think I’ve had an actual conversation with a woman I was attracted to in almost 10 years. You have to have access to someone who is looking, and interested in you, before you can “talk your way out,” of anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/21 05:12 PM
2

I’m not sure how true that theory is. Of course, I don’t know who females choose because I don’t know any females. As it turns out, I have no contribution to this discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 04:43 PM
1

That would be stylistic and not something anyone should worry about.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 04:01 PM
2

That’s a little amusing to me. As I’ve gotten older, my opinion of those in law and medicine continues to diminish. I’m not familiar with “C-suite.” Managerial types of job titles just sound like gibberish to me. I don’t think I am terribly unique but there is almost no prestige to any of those, as far as I am concerned. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I am unusual.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 03:10 PM

I make over six figures, BS job, no experience with females. Not flashy at all but I doubt that would make a difference. No real evidence, just a feeling.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 02:24 PM

I don’t care to. What the internet says something means and what it means to the person writing are not always one and the same.

I live a somewhat isolated life so forgive this question: What do you mean by “alpha” or “beta”? Is this a stylistic or rank order difference in your framing?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 12:55 PM

You mean 5/10 or below? Or is lower than 5/10 ridicule on the street?

I honestly have no feel for who is and isn’t an attractive man. I wish I did.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/21 02:24 PM

Thank you for asking this question. I never understood this either. Some people are more attractive than others but it’s more of an on/off to me. How can you really differentiate two points in a way that you can explain? I don’t understand it.

I don’t think it matters either way. Nobody wants a dumb person, I wouldn’t think but being a genius doesn’t necessarily do anything for me. I think driven and ambitious are somewhat neutral. I guess I don’t think of females in that way so it might seem unusual but not in a good or bad way.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/21 05:27 PM

Of my friends, not many are. It’s just not that easy to find someone for a lot of people and no one seems very interested. We all see guys out there with a girlfriend or wife but they may be in the minority. I’m in the dark on how many guys are having sex and how many aren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/21 05:11 PM
1

Yeah, too many it’s-different-this-time’s in this particular field.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/21 12:16 AM

Thanks I will. My opinion isn’t worth much but I am guessing I won’t disagree with a lot of what he has to say.

No. I didn’t. I will because I am curious to hear.

I don’t understand why there are those - I’m referring to non-religious people - who think it’s wrong or bad to want to or to try to have sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/21 11:03 PM

I think they matter but at the end of the day, it’s more art than science. You don’t need to dress everything up in scientific BS-jargon to believe what you believe.

Eh social science is not the hard sciences - it has a habit of aging poorly. Even if I tend to agree with what they say, I wouldn’t give this any more credence just because this guy has a “Ph.D” next to his name. You can believe what you want to believe but this doesn’t “confirm,” or refute anything.

They didn’t change my life very much, to tell you the truth. Aside from not seeing a few friends for a few months and changes in buying goods and services, things were pretty much unchanged for me.

There is a blast from the past. Not sure who Rollo is. I remember hearing him on the radio in the mid-to-late 90s. My mom listened to whichever station he was on. I couldn’t tell you much about what he talked about but I do remember him once talking about some kind of workplace lawsuit over the Dolores/Clitoris episode of Seinfeld. He said this type of lawsuit was the reason he never talks to female employees at his station. I know I heard many more of his shows but that is the one that stands o…

Well it is, because while stats may say something about large swaths of people, they may or may not say anything about your personal situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/21 03:55 AM

I guess anything is possible (although apparently not for me) but walking up to every attractive female you see and just asking them out would probably amount to less time and energy spent. I guess join a club if you want to join a club (I have no interest in joining a club) but I wouldn’t hang your hat on meeting one of the 10 female members over the lifespan of the club.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/21 12:22 AM
4

I’ve tried that one but females aren’t exactly friendly to me or open to meeting up.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/21 10:57 PM
22

I don’t advocate online dating but joining a group or club doesn’t sound like a great way to meet someone. You’re restricted to the few single females in the club and if none of them like you, you’re back to where you were before the club.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/21 10:45 PM

In a perfect world where opportunities were infinite? yes, sure, it sounds like a bad idea. That said, some of us don’t have the luxury of creating and following these types of rules.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/21 05:30 AM

I don’t think it’s so much “confidence and knowledge,” as people will hold your lack of experience against you.

I live in a small town but have lived in a large city. No luck in either. I’d rather live in a small town because large cities seem like a ripoff to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/21 05:01 AM

I know some do. In my experience, they just don’t have an interest in being friends with me. That is not to say that I’m against the idea. I guess I thought mine was more the average guy’s experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/21 01:28 AM

I have tried approaching strangers out of nowhere but not in a while. A lot of guys just aren’t interested in joining groups or whatever the advice is. The only reason some might join is to meet a female. I would never do it unless I wanted to join the group irrespective of finding a girlfriend. Approaching a stranger seems much less of a weirdo way of doing it. You ask the stranger and if they’re not interested, you both just move on with your life. You’re not joining and regularly meeting with…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/21 10:15 PM

Do that many guys really have female friends? I’d think it would not be the norm. I don’t have any so I can’t comment on this at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/21 09:46 PM
5

Yes it can be done easily. You probably have to give up things like eating out or going away on vacation but those are luxuries at the end of the day and people can do fine without them. You won’t have the newest, coolest stuff but those are also luxuries.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 01:18 PM
16

10 years ago I probably would have given up quite a bit including my job or almost all time on my hands. I’m now at a state of resignation where it doesn’t even seem worth it to give anything up. No one else was willing to give up small things to give me a chance, so why should I?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 01:39 AM
2

I don’t think many people are “evil” - although my experience dating online leads me to believe there are a lot of bad faith actors - but there is so little known about the other party from both ends. I don’t have very much understanding of females and who they are and they have very little understanding of me and who I am. I’d love to learn but females don’t appear to share that feeling, unfortunately.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/21 03:39 AM

I’m in a similar position. I don’t know what’s going on. Don’t feel so bad though. I haven’t had a date in 10 years.

Hi. I can’t find one anywhere so what does that say?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 07:32 PM

Yeah. I guess that’s why I request a lot of explanation if there is going to be withholding on their part.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 06:38 PM

I wouldn’t call it “connection.” That seems a little weirdo to me. I don’t know why people keep saying “connection.”. It might be nice to have the same experience with someone but it doesn’t mean we experienced it the same way. I think you’re right in a lot of what you say that we never lived another person’s life. That said, if I were going out on dates with someone for an extended period (don’t worry, I’m not) I’d really like to know where they grew up, their family, what they really care abou…

Most things in life don’t work out. Just move on with it and realize it’s not that big a deal in the long run.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 06:26 PM
1

Ehh it takes years for emotional connection. I think a lot of people here sound like they need the other person to stimulate their imagination so they can project their hopeful excitement onto another person. That’s nice but I wouldn’t confuse it with any special “connection.”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 06:17 PM
2

You don’t. You may think you do but you don’t. It takes years. You’re projecting your thoughts and feelings onto other people if you think you do.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 06:15 PM
3

You need to know my history to understand who I am. If you can’t understand who I am to some degree, I don’t think you can feel “connected.”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 06:05 PM
1

Well since I’ve never had a girlfriend, let me make a maybe inappropriate comparison - regular friends. I’d say I have an emotional connection to some degree with my friends I’ve had for years because they know a lot about me, they have been around my family, and know my background. I wouldn’t say I have an emotional connection with the ones I’ve known for shorter periods but I enjoy their company.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 05:59 PM
3

Not to me. That just means you enjoy each other’s company.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 05:56 PM
1

Yeah but it works both ways. If you want a guy to do something for you, you have to do something for him.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 05:45 PM
2

Hey, I’m very inexperienced but isn’t it supposed to be an enjoyable thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 05:37 PM
5

Why can’t you have sex in the meantime though?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 05:35 PM
3

I’d think you’d need to know where he comes from to understand who he is. Are you actually “connecting,” with these people or just excited and hopeful?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 05:19 PM
15

I’d hardly know someone after 2-3 weeks. Any “connection,” at that point would probably be hope and projection.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 05:17 PM
6

I wouldn’t say it’s my main goal but what is the difference if it is or not? There is nothing wrong with wanting to have sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 05:10 PM
2

Huh? This person would have to know my family, my extended family, my childhood history, my values, my beliefs, just about everything about me and know why I am the way I am before we could even discuss an “emotional connection.”. You have to really get to know someone for that kind of thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 04:55 PM
45

“Emotional connection,” probably takes years to build. It sounds like a BS to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 04:42 PM
2

Well I agree with everything you said there. I was referring to marrying a man for financial survival vs. working for financial survival. Neither scenario seems better than the other - if we take out violence from the spouse - considering a female (or anyone) making a lot of money will probably have to work well over 40 hours a week for an employer who cares even less about her than her jerky husband. Neither scenario is what anyone wants but work isn’t “setting her free.”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 03:28 PM
1

Excluding violent situations, it doesn’t seem that worse than working 40-75 hours a week at a job that cares about you even less, and often openly resents your existence.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 02:36 PM
2

I don’t know that life was different in the 90s for many of us. I was there.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/21 01:47 AM
1

I tend to agree with this viewpoint.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 09:20 PM
1

I’d just like to meet someone, get to know them and see where it goes from there. I’m in no position to have any thoughts about the future with someone, at this point.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 02:21 PM
0

Is this a joke? Maybe one day I can be “ruined” as well. I should only hope.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 02:19 PM
2

Haha. No. I actually meet no women at all, anywhere so I am not the best person to ask. Just guessing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 02:02 PM
2

I’m a (traditional in many ways) guy and the only things on that list that interest me are sports. I don’t even know what “anime” is. I’d think more traditional females are interested in sports but what do I know? Shouldn’t racing be under sports anyway?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 01:34 PM
1

what do you mean by less common vs. more common interests? Wouldn’t traditional people have interests that are more commonly found amongst females?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 12:25 PM
1

Yeah. That’s true. I guess it would only be possible in high school or maybe a workplace where there is a lot of dating amongst employees. Maybe if she had a lot of friends, she might feel bad or embarrassed if she told them? I don’t know.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 05:38 PM
1

I’m too old (not even very old but experienced with being alone) and not as fearful about being alone forever as much as when I was younger. If she can’t accept me for who I am, I can just go back to being alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 05:37 PM
2

I don’t know that I would tell a female out of nowhere but I wouldn’t hide it. She might ask me about my history and I have no reason to lie or omit the truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 05:27 PM
4

She wouldn’t know unless I told her.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 05:25 PM
4

I don’t have a commentary on reality vs. fantasy due to my inexperience. In a somewhat related note, I found it interesting when someone on here told me that if you’re a guy with no experience females would be less likely to go out with you because other people would look down on them for giving an inexperienced guy a chance. I wonder if that’s true or has a degree of truth. If it is, that says a lot - it’s not even whether they themselves like you but other females have to like you too.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 05:19 PM
1

I’m not going on any dates anytime soon but for argument’s sake, I’ll answer this. If I wouldn’t want to wait, why would I want her to wait?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 05:15 PM
1

I have male friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 12:47 PM
2

People that don’t want to be my friend aren’t going to tell me why they don’t want to be my friend. That’s all I’m saying. My female family members are much older than I am. I have had nice conversations with elderly females in my lifetime.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 04:53 AM
1

Well it’s normal for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 04:42 AM
1

I don’t know and never will. I have no way of knowing or finding out. It seemed as though you think all guys have female friends. Not all of us do. I’d guess more single guys like me have no female friends than do but that’s a completely uninformed guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 04:41 AM
1

I think they’re fine. I know they’re people. What else would I think they are? What are you asking me exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 04:25 AM
3

What about those of us guys that females don’t want to be friends with?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 04:16 AM
2

I do my best not to be but it’s probably unavoidable sometimes. I wouldn’t pretend I’m not if I’m caught with my pants down.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 03:14 AM
1

I personally wouldn’t do it and whether it’s “normal,” or not is not a good question. That said, if you live in a place with very few candidates why would you blame someone for going to another place with more? I live in a small town and can see why someone would do this out of necessity.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 12:46 AM
1

No opinion on loser vs. not-loser but I love how the reaction of people online is your barometer. It has almost no application to real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/21 12:40 AM
1

I think so.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 03:47 AM
1

I can't argue with what you present. I might add that everyone would give everyone a chance. It would be looked down upon not to give someone a chance, outside of extreme circumstances.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 03:02 AM
8

It’s pronounced losers and thank you for announcing my descent.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 01:57 AM

I don’t know any outside of my family in real life. I superficially know a few I work with. I’d guess a lot of people wouldn’t come to a place like this because they have nothing to complain about. I’d bet some wouldn’t mind but never sought it out. I’d bet others are no different than those here in real life. Overall, I’d think the females here represent a pretty small percentage of females at large and the females here are not a monolith by any stretch.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 01:47 AM
1

I don’t know anything about your personal life. How old are you exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 07:15 PM

It’s pretty transparent you’re very young. Don’t plan anything six years down the road. You’ll thank me for this advice in two years.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 06:46 PM
2

Hahaha. I thought you were telling me to get a better face if people didn’t like mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 06:39 PM
5

You are talking about a very niche scenario, engineered in a certain way…six years down the road? Do you have any understanding that life never works this way?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 06:38 PM
1

No thoughts. Those things are situational anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 06:30 PM
1

You mean from the female perspective?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 06:26 PM
3

Get better? Get a new face?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 06:21 PM
1

l think you’re always concerned or feel bad when someone cries. That’s not to say that sometimes people don’t overreact or BS cry but I think that’s not the norm.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 06:12 PM
1

Interesting. I hadn’t considered this. I wonder how true it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 06:00 PM
3

Nothing has changed for me since I’ve never had any luck in that regard. It’s not much of a consolation that’s it’s now bad for many others. Maybe a little but not much.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 05:20 PM
2

I think you’re in chicken or the egg territory.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 02:52 AM
1

It was rhetorical.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 02:43 AM
3

I don’t care about someone’s history. Being with me, would be a life-changing experience, I’m sure. All joking aside, I think I would see it as a starting from square one scenario for both of us.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 02:13 AM
3

I guess I wouldn’t guess with that information but I probably wouldn’t be that concerned with guessing in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 01:10 AM
5

N count? How do you find out? It’s not as though the information is stored somewhere and you can break in to the warehouse. I really think people are overestimating their capabilities.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 01:04 AM
40

Come on. Nobody here has a way to know beyond pure conjecture. The best ratio is the one where I’m not left out. The worst ratio are all the ratios where I am left out.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 12:57 AM
1

You do realize that most inexperienced guys don’t come here and maybe even have never heard of here, don’t you? This place isn’t representative of anything. Are you really taking comments here that seriously in the real world?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 12:52 AM
2

It doesn’t matter to me. It just seems hard to believe that you usually get that information early on.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 12:48 AM
10

Stupid question but how do you get someone’s sexual history numbers and how do you lie-detector that beforehand? There are very few people with less experience than I have. Five might as well be 50 to me. I don’t know why you’d think I would be that curious about or need a given number or upper limit.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 12:40 AM
1

What? Seething hatred of women? How the hell would I have anything along those lines without direct experience with females outside of my family?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 11:19 PM
1

Interesting. I have noticed that there is a lot of - or at least a noticeable amount of - hostility directed at me when I say I haven’t had any success. It seems a pretty neutral statement from my point of view.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 10:50 PM
1

I honestly thought she was responding to someone else or confusing me with someone else. It shouldn’t be that novel to see that other people have very different experiences from you and yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 10:27 PM
2

It’s “doesn’t” not “don’t”. If females don’t want to give you a chance to be their friend or boyfriend then that is the reason - lack of opportunity. Why the lack of opportunity? No one seems to know why some people are shut out or frozen out. There are theories and suppositions but some people just don’t get a chance and no one really knows why. I’m one of those people but I’m irrelevant in the greater context. You can’t pretend we’re not an untapped resource or low risk/high reward bet though.…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 10:23 PM
1

That’s fine if they don’t want to lead (supposing they don’t) but why the upset when things go astray? The risk is implicit.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 09:58 PM
2

Yeah. I guess in the short term but most of the female comments seem to be about long-term type of scenarios. To those females looking for short-term fun, I don’t know that my commentary has any application.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 08:06 PM
1

Are you a male or female?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 07:06 PM
1

Yeah. I understand things have to line up. I think an inexperienced man is who has other attributes desired would be a good target. I know there is a perfect storm that has to happen to some degree but there is a huge “free money” aspect to pursuing us guys without experience. I think that’s an unrecognized sentiment. Just a theory. Not scientific by any stretch.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 07:02 PM
2

I don’t know that I have an urge share it out of nowhere but I have no reason to pretend it’s not true.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:58 PM
1

I’ve heard that kind of explanation. I don’t know how much resonance it has. What on earth are these other females’ rejections doing for the hard luck female though? That’s what I’d like to know.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:56 PM
1

Who is he? I’m not talking about anyone in particular. All I said was if females have had a problem with men - I think a significant minority have (size of that minority unknown to me) - they should look for a guy with no experience because it’s a guarantee of someone without a poor track record. Also, guys who have never had a chance deserve a shot if nothing else has worked.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:54 PM
3

A little “awkward experience” whatever that means seems like a pretty minimal speed bump, inconvenience, pothole choose your metaphor.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:48 PM
2

I think that very well may be. I don’t disagree with you. In fact, I agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:46 PM
1

Know who they are beforehand? What would you “need to know”? I am interested in a person’s history but not particularly swayed in interest either way when what they did before me had no effect on me.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:42 PM
3

I’m not speaking as a representative or anything along those lines. I don’t particularly care what inexperienced men here say because I don’t know how representative they are either. I speak for myself and myself only, as a no-experience man.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:41 PM
6

I think you’re certainly right. The females that have no problem don’t show up here or wherever else people complain.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:30 PM
5

Hey, that’s fine. I think I’m average but if someone decides I’m ugly, there isn’t much I can do about that. What I don’t believe is that plenty of females wouldn’t find me attractive even if that is the minority of females. I may be ugly to many but not everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:26 PM
6

The scenario I presented and the scenario you presented are not mutually exclusive. You said you wouldn’t be forgiving of someone who wasn’t familiar with typical scenarios for people with experience. Then you said your husband “took ownership.” That could mean a lot of things, however. It sounds as though you’re implying he took the blame just because he was inexperienced. If that’s what you’re saying, I disagree with that. Experience doesn’t make someone right. A lot of things experienced peop…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:15 PM
4

I don’t think so. There is no reason why a person with no experience and a person with a ton of experience couldn’t enjoy each other’s company and sexuality or whatever. There is something else going on when someone holds lack of experience against someone. The experienced side doesn’t want to say because it would reflect poorly on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 06:07 PM
2

In that case, it would stop you, because that is unavoidable.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 05:38 PM
7

I don’t know how it works but you have to be forgiving for someone who hasn’t dealt with a scenario that isn’t familiar to an inexperienced person. I don’t think that is asking too much.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 05:03 PM
2

Thank you. I am. That’s why it’s so confusing to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 04:55 PM

A girlfriend.

I guess at my age I’ve accepted that almost all females will have more experience. There isn’t anything I can do about it and it’s not worth worrying about. I don’t think I’m particularly unique but I can’t say either way. I still think someone who gave me a chance wouldn’t be disappointed but who knows?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 04:49 PM

I can only speak for myself but I wouldn’t. I think you’re putting thoughts in inexperienced guys heads. If I had bad luck my entire life, a guy with no experience and no track record would seem like a good bet or at least a better bet. At least you know they haven’t mistreated a girlfriend in the past.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 04:38 PM
2

What do you mean? I don’t have a particular female I’m talking about. There is no way to know what it is and I didn’t claim to know. Where are you seeing that I’m talking about someone in particular and why do you think I’m saying it’s because of my inexperience?

I’m not sure what you are saying exactly.

I don’t know who females are picking and don’t claim to. They don’t share that with me. I will pose a self-interested question, however: what is the downside of giving a guy with no experience a chance? Inexperienced guys are guaranteed not to have bad track records, at least.

I think if that opportunity ever arose, I would have when I were younger. At this point, I say females will just have to accept my inexperience for what it is. After a while, you stop doing things for someone whose reward is so unreliable.

I haven’t seen most of the things discussed - probably around 90% of these things - because I have been almost completely shut out of female interaction my entire life. You need to have sex before you can worry about the other person enjoying it. If you can’t find someone to have sex with, worrying about whether a non-existent person would like it doesn’t get you anywhere. At least that’s my sentiment. I’d be happy to try to make the other person enjoy it but so long as I don’t have another person, I’m more worried about finding someone to do it with.

The term hobbies sounds a little funny to me - I think of something along the lines of putting together model airplanes or collecting stamps. I watch a lot of sports so it would be great to have someone to watch the games with but I realize that may not be easy to come by. I'm not that familiar with popular female interests but would be at least willing to learn a little even if it's not something I'd want to spend a lot of time doing.

Was this in person or online? It could have been a scam either way, but would guess it was a scam if online. The 180° change on traveling sounds a little suspicious.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 08:37 PM
2

Well I’m here and interested to find such a person. I am skeptical of their existence.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 08:21 PM
1

Never heard of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 08:17 PM
2

Where do you find these females you speak of? I don’t know of anyone ever waiting for me to pick them.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 08:06 PM
5

I think I’d be more likely to pick someone who gives it up easily. I’d be a little resentful of someone who makes me wait.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 04:21 PM
4

Well, I’m not experienced so this is not reality to me by any stretch. Why would I hold what I would think is a good thing against someone long-term?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 04:16 PM
1

There aren’t any kind of females in my life outside of my family and I would have no reason to lie to them. I don’t think I would be dishonest or anything, if there were. I can’t say until I’m actually in the position.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 12:13 PM
3

The only rule I care about is me or not me. The rule is not me. I don’t care how the numbers break down in general, if I’m not included on the fortunate side.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 01:30 AM
2

Anything can appear online. It doesn’t mean it’s a common thing or even real. I’ve never heard of anything such as this happening but I don’t think I’ve had enough exposure to say either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 05:26 PM
1

Probably fat and muscle maybe bone. I’m not sure. Just a guess. People in their 20s just seem a lot more developed than someone 18.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 05:11 PM
1

I thought there was still physical development occurring after age 18 for females, even if they’re not growing in height. I’d think 18-24 would still encompass some growth.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 04:54 PM
3

I’m not quite that guy but pretty close. Experience is something I almost never think about. I can’t go back in time and gain experience that never happened. On the other side, nothing counts until they met me. haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 03:37 PM
2

In fairness, you linked two graphs. If it’s data from social science “research,” I don’t believe any social science research as a rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 03:15 PM
2

I can only speak for myself but I can’t imagine females at age 18 being very attractive. Aren’t they still a little underdeveloped physically? I’m a guy who has never had a girlfriend and most of my friends are single guys too. We may not be very representative however.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 02:55 PM
4

I’m not familiar with this phenomenon. Could this just be a vocal minority? When I see couples out in public there usually - you see it every once in a while - isn’t a noticeable age difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 01:57 PM
1

Honestly I’ve never heard that. Assault always meant injury from my understanding.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 12:04 PM
1

You don’t need to sign any kind of form. Wouldn’t consent only apply in places where a verbal contract is binding?I’ve honestly never heard that definition. I’m not doubting you because I’m not an attorney or in law enforcement but that was never the way I understood the law. Did it change at some point?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 12:01 PM
1

Assault requires bodily injury, as far as I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 11:56 AM
1

How could it be assault? Doesn’t she have to show some kind of bodily harm? As for the guy, shouldn’t he know that no person is 100% sterile?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 11:52 AM
1

Haha. Is there a slew of tall, rich, “educated” females with problems dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 07:30 PM
1

Could you please give me a few numbers?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 06:50 PM
2

if i had more people interested in me, i’d be more likely to reciprocate by the law of averages.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 06:48 PM
1

wouldn’t there be a tipping point where they’d need to spread the wealth by necessity? I don’t now what it would be but at some level a minority of guys can’t divide attention so easily.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 06:23 PM
1

What? I’ve never heard of that. I don’t think that’s common. Not much you can do about it either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 06:03 PM
1

Do you think that is actually how it works? I have no idea because females don’t tell me the kinds of guys they’re going out with or having sex with, if they are. I can only go by the people together, I see in public. It’s extremely hard to draw conclusions from that.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 06:01 PM
3

What is an example of a gross sexual remark? How often does this happen to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 05:55 PM
1

What do you mean when you say lack of class or “skeevy?”
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 05:48 PM
3

I don’t think they’re actually complaining. It’s just a way of saying they’re desirable and how many men like them without looking like they’re full of themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 05:34 PM
3

Haha. I don’t think I’d ever do that even in this scenario but why would we complain?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 05:12 PM
3

Well, as a guy who has had no luck, of course I think it would be great. In all seriousness though, we would just be used to that as the usual experience. There is no good reason it can’t be that way, things just worked out differently by chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 05:04 PM
1

As an outsider to dating, this doesn’t seem to be a huge deal. You don’t really know someone after a few months - it probably takes years - so who’s to say whom she really liked more or liked at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 01:12 PM
10

I have no way to eyeball this. When I was that age, I know I thought it would be no big deal. I thought there would be plenty of people looking to talk and get to know me a little and some would like me and some wouldn’t. Well, to my surprise, those people never came to fruition and here I am 15-20 years later. I am a very average guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 01:05 PM
3

Oh boy. Thanks for documenting my life, you jerk. hahaha. Very true though. Hits a little too close to home but very accurate portrayal.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/21 03:30 AM
3

40.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 11:40 PM
12

As a sexless man, I have no idea and I doubt more than a few others in my position can truly say they’ve understood what happened.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 07:10 PM
2

I don’t think it’s loneliness in terms of friendship but may be sexual and other types of opposite sex intimacy loneliness. For me, it’s more of just knowing wha the experience is like at this point. I have no idea. If I were dependent on a female to cure the friendship aspect of loneliness, I’d be in pretty deep despair because they sure haven’t come around in my case. It wouldn’t make sense for me to depend on something Ive never had.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 03:12 PM
2

There is no reliable way to verify abstinence from porno or masturbation. You’re talking about the types of people who would lie in anonymous surveys and to themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 02:10 PM
1

Yeah. It’s bizarre. Are you calling me a fat slob? haha
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 01:25 PM
1

I can’t tell.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 01:11 PM
2

No. That’s ridiculous and a waste of money. I have never had a girlfriend and it sucks. Why not just accept that not everyone gets a fair shake in every aspect of life? I wouldn’t say I’m happy about it but it’s just part of life. We all know there are a lot of people who suffer much crueler fates than not being able to get a girlfriend.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 12:22 PM
6

Hey, I’m lonely and sexless but I am not sure how I could possibly “restrict [women’s] freedoms.” Outside of my family, females are just not part of my life in any way aside from maybe retail and customer service, if that counts for anything. Even if I wanted to, how on earth would I be able to do that with someone I have no involvement with or influence over?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 12:10 PM
1

I’m not sure what you’re saying. Do you think unpleasant verbal and/or emotional behavior is abuse or no?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 11:53 AM
1

I doubt it’s possible to supervise to that degree. If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen. There isn’t a lot you can do about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 09:18 PM
1

Inexperienced guy speaking so take it with a granule of salt. Here are my thoughts: I think the prevalence of cheating is almost always underestimated, you can’t prevent it and can maybe even make it worse if you try to “control” her, I don’t think cheating for a man or woman makes you a bad person, cheating doesn’t seem like the end of the world. Again, outsider’s view.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 09:11 PM
3

Yeah she has to either work there or they compensate her in one form or another for bringing people in.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 07:49 PM
1

My comment or the experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 07:27 PM
3

I am guessing this was some kind of scam and she worked for this club. If it costed money to get in, she may get a percentage. Sad commentary.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 07:06 PM
0

I’ve noticed that. I really only complain online and I’m not even complaining or placing blame really. I’m mostly just saying my situation sucks and there isn’t much I can do about it. Life is unfair in different aspects to to many people.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 06:57 PM
1

I’m not able to read it. It says removed.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:59 PM
1

The link says, “removed.” What do you mean when you say value? I don’t think of people as having a price tag or anything (although they say everyone does and that’s probably somewhat true).
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:51 PM
1

Haha. I’ll worry about how to talk to females when they learn how to talk to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:42 PM
8

I thought he was a really funny guy. I guess anyone can say anything about anyone. There is no way to if it’s true or not. I’m a little confused about the 18 year-old part. I don’t see anything about ages in the link.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:33 PM
1

I’m sure a lot of them are not interested in a boyfriend or husband. They’re probably not showing up here to complain about their unlucky in love experience because there is nothing to complain about.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:22 PM
2

I guess it got easier going from none to two-or-three dates but not much easier.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 11:43 AM
1

I said that knowing that someone wants to have sex with you should be enough. I think she was overthinking it. There is no need to think about yourself and whether or not you’re sexy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 11:30 AM
1

What do you mean, “hamstering away?”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 11:29 AM
2

That’s certainly a possibility. Seems the other forms of abuse diminish those who suffer physical abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:31 AM
1

I’m not sure what that has to do with anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:20 AM
1

Maybe. Nobody has to stick around for those kinds of things so I’m not that sympathetic.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:17 AM
1

It’s unpleasant but not abusive. Someone calling us names is something many of us have dealt with through life. The concern is why someone would continue to spend time with such a person.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:03 AM
2

Sexual falls within physical. Verbal isn’t and emotional isn’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 01:59 AM
2

In my book, there is only one type of abuse - physical. The rest are unpleasant but not abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 01:52 AM
3

Yeah. I think that is why I gave up.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 11:54 PM
4

I didn’t really get any responses when I tried to meet them online. When I did, it was so minimal it was almost confusing.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 11:19 PM
-3

Actions speak louder than words. If a guy is willing to do it, you don’t need more than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:38 PM
1

I’m at work but I am curious to see.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:36 PM
1

They’re attracted to them. I dont know what you mean by a mom bod.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:32 PM
1

As in look at yourself in the mirror and have a sexual attraction? That is what feeling sexy sounds like to me. I would do it for me too - if I had sex - but you have to find someone willing to do it with you before you can do it for yourself. If you have that person, you ha be carte blanche to do it for yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:31 PM
1

I have no experience either and haven’t had the opportunity to share these kinds of things although I would have liked to and would still like to. I think someone asked this question not that long ago and I wondered whether females are maybe just neutral about it. Another possibility is that if they like you, they like it but if they don’t like you , they don’t like it. I wonder if females find themselves in situations where males they don’t like are kind of, “pouring their hearts out,” so to sp…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:29 PM
4

I know. This is why I am asking the question. I am in the dark and out of my depth.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:25 PM
2

They sure do if someone is sleeping with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:17 PM
2

I’ve never seen a woman naked after pregnancy so I don’t know. If the husband still wants to have sex, she shouldn’t need anymore reassurance than that. You can’t fake that desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:17 PM
4

Honestly, that doesn’t sound like a good scenario. I don’t think a guy needs to be in position where he has to always reassure her that he’s attracted in some way. If he still wants to have sex, that should be all she needs. Someone who needs reassurance all the time has much larger problems than anyone else can solve through BS romance gestures.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:14 PM
3

If he’s attracted enough to want to, that seems like enough. It sure as hell would be for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:12 PM
-1

I really don’t think about my body at all. Just stop worrying about it. If someone wants to sleep with you, just be happy about that. I know I would be.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:03 PM
1

Just to respond to the other part, I don’t think a guy can lie about that kind of thing. Nobody is going to want to have sex with someone they’re not sexually attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 07:00 PM
1

Man. I feel bad but you’d be so much better off if you didn’t look at yourself as sexy or unsexy. Are you really attracted (or unattracted) to yourself? That is so bizarre.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:56 PM
0

Well I don’t attract anybody but I think I look fine. I honestly don’t really think even about it. Are you a male or female? I’m just curious about the the point of view you share.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:54 PM
0

Looking at yourself as sexy? For serious?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:52 PM
2

Why care either way? I see myself naked in the mirror, I guess, but don’t have a thought about it. I don’t have sexual feelings towards myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:50 PM
1

That’s bad. Just forget about viewing yourself as sexy or unsexy. It’s just making you overthink things. I’ve never had anyone attracted in that way (as far as I know) but that’s just life and it’s not my call to make. Hopefully I find someone who is. I’ve just never really thought about it with regard to myself because there isn’t much I can do about it so it’s not worth worrying about.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:49 PM
4

I don’t but whether we’re sexually attractive isn’t really our call. If you already have someone on hand, that seems like a pretty good deal.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:43 PM
7

Yeah but if your husband still finds you sexy, that should be enough. You sound like you’ve created an image in your head of who you are and how that person is sexy. I never thought that was our call. If your husband finds you sexy, that should be enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:37 PM
8

Inexperienced guy in his 40s chiming in with a question. Particularly interested in the, “feeling unsexy,” thing. What does that mean? If I had someone who wanted to have sex with me, that’s about all Id need. It sounds as though you’re occupying your mind with something you don’t need to worry about as long as your husband or whatever wants to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:25 PM
20

Not sure about sex because I haven’t made it that far. They don’t seem very reliable with keeping plans or following up with communication, in my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 06:22 PM
2

I struggle because females don’t like me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 05:19 PM
0

I don’t know any females in my age cohort so I can’t say. My guess would be people usually report more suitors than they actually have, even if they are not doing this on purpose. We like to think of ourselves - and want other people to think of us - as desirable.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 04:40 PM
1

Be careful about relying on these "studies." There's a reason they get wildly disparate results. I don't have anything else to add to this aside from, "studies," not meaning as much as you probably think.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 03:16 AM
2

I’m not very familiar with instagram aside from knowing the name and its popularity with teenagers. As a hard and fast rule, I think any kind of social media should be avoided.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 11:54 PM
3

I don’t know what “tradcon,” men means but in my case it’s more that if the other person were not working, you’d at least give the tiebreaker in decisions to the person earning the money. That is not to say I am not interested in their opinion or they can never raise concerns. I would be happy to do the same if they were working and I were handling the household.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 06:38 PM
1

I do but the joke is on me because there is no one else and unfortunately there probably never will be. I do appreciate your larger point that not everyone is in the position I am in, through no fault of their own.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 06:22 PM
1

I currently have about $900k in assets, a little shy of that. I also have a guaranteed benefit for my pension (yes they still exist) and she would be entitled to that when I died.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 06:14 PM
1

I think I make enough for where I live but I don’t spend lavishly and am willing to go without a lot of things. I do understand not everyone has those advantages with regard to income and sometimes two people working is necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 06:07 PM
1

Because working sucks and I’d like to take that burden off of the other person and ideally there would be reciprocation of that sentiment.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 05:48 PM
1

I meant if married.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 03:31 PM
-1

I don’t have a problem with a female working. If I were married, I’d rather one person didn’t work. It just depends who earns more. In my limited interactions with females, it seems as though I’ve always earned more or been in that position. That’s why I presuppose I’d be the one supporting them but it’s not a certainty. If neither earned enough for that to be possible then you have to do what you have to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 03:27 PM
1

I wouldn’t have a problem supporting someone else. I think I would minimize what I have as much as possible for many years just to rule out that they’re using me for money.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 03:04 PM
3

Well I look my age and they don’t like me. So a lot of good that’s doing me.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 03:00 PM
1

I wouldn’t mind paying but, to me, that’s carte blanche to have her do whatever I ask her. This person is kind of ludicrous, of course. I doubt her average day is interesting enough (or at all interesting) that getting a bite with some guy is a huge imposition.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 02:20 PM
1

Maybe have a little fun at her expense but I doubt much else.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 02:05 PM
1

I don’t know the first thing about what feminist is but I don’t see anything wrong with paragraphs two and three.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 01:11 AM
2

does not do. You don’t always know their thoughts and feelings unless you ask them. It’s a yes or no question. Not a huge deal. The answer is the huge part - maybe.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 05:27 PM
2

I have no idea. I’ve never been with a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 03:09 PM
1

Sounds dumb. I don’t think it’s up to either side to propose. If someone wants to, they should just do it. If doesn’t work out, you can not get married or find someone else who will say yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 03:05 PM
2

So you don’t know the answer if it’s that broad and not even about you necessarily.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 03:00 PM
3

Sounds dumb if you’ve already agreed on getting married. “Would you marry me?” “We already had this conversation.”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 02:58 PM
0

That removes any need for a proposal if you ask me.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 02:53 PM
4

Yeah. I just don’t have any experience with the other part to say either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 02:50 PM
1

why shouldn’t you propose unless you know the answer? I’m not following this.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 02:49 PM
1

You never know until you do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 02:05 PM
0

You never know until you try it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 01:56 PM
10

I’ve never had a girlfriend but females definitely control access to sex. I should know.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 01:29 PM
5

I’ve never had a girlfriend but why can’t she just propose?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 01:27 PM
2

I would never get that message. I’d just think you thought you knew me but realized you didn’t. You should just walk up to them and introduce yourself. You might meet a great guy like me. You’d be the first and you wouldn’t believe your good fortune in finding this wonderful guy. Wait a second, this has never happened to me. Well if you did, you’d meet a great guy in me. Haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 12:59 PM
2

Yeah. I’d probably just think they thought they knew me and realized they didn’t. I know I’ve done that a few times when I thought I saw someone I knew.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 12:48 PM
1

Hi. I feel okay. It doesn’t come as a surprise.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 12:45 PM
2

Why would anyone care?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 11:46 AM
2

Never heard of her.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 03:58 AM
2

This sounds like more bang-your-head-harder-against-the-wall propaganda.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/21 11:13 PM
1

I’ve never had one but I would be okay with it. Why wouldn’t I?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/21 03:53 PM
3

It is not possible for me. I don’t have any female friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/21 03:47 PM
3

I don’t know. I never put up with any real female BS - well once I kind of figured out it was BS - but they just walk away when they see that I won’t. Maybe they have more respect for me, who knows? It hasn’t helped me do any better, if that’s the implication. Could it be that these are things completely unrelated to success with the opposite sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/21 01:03 PM
2

I think you mean “remnants.” Reminisce is to remember.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/21 02:07 AM
1

“I agree with you.” Yours sounds illiterate.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/21 01:52 AM
2

Confident in what, exactly?

Beforehand, I hope they like me and take to me. If they do, they’re not uncomfortable. If they don’t, I don’t care. Why should I care? I don’t expect females to care if I’m uncomfortable and I doubt they care. Their not caring about my comfort has nothing to do with what I view as bad-faith actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/21 12:02 AM
6

Not caring if someone - who doesn’t care about me - is uncomfortable is not acting in bad faith. I’m not sure what you are trying to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/21 11:33 PM
2

For me it’s good faith actors(me) vs. bad faith actors(females, in my experience). In all but a few of my interactions with females, something else always seemed to be going on other than what was apparent on the surface.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/21 11:15 PM

I don’t know. I hold pretty strong boundaries but they don’t seem to have a problem walking away. I’m not complaining because I ask very little but it’s not true that they will do any more for you if you don’t accept certain behaviors. Well, it’s not true for me.

I started to watch it but was not following.

Whereas those are the only experiences I have ever had and how do I have a pleasant surprise once?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/21 02:27 AM

I also quit 10 years ago. The females on there all seemed to be acting in bad faith and dealing with that consistently was just too unsettling.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/21 02:20 AM

You don’t have to couch your complaints in pseudoscience - the lay person has no real understanding of evolution- for them to be valid. Look, my situation sucks. I know it sucks and I know I didn’t have very much to do with it. I don’t need a “scientific” explanation to know that it sucks. You should also learn how to spell the word reproduction. You’re giving yourself away.

I don’t have strong feelings about tattoos and females. It’s no different from fashion and I don’t particularly believe in fashion, so I guess I have a vague dislike of them in that regard but that would go for males and females. Maybe no tattoos over tattoos in an all things equal/tiebreaker scenario but not much beyond that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 08:26 PM
2

I have no idea. No one has told me I’m attractive and no one has told me I’m ugly. I would guess I am average. I’ll probably never know. There is nothing I can do about it so it’s not worth worrying about.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 12:40 AM
1

Haha. Sounds like the kinds of responses I would get, if I ever got a response.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/21 06:22 PM

I’m not trying to make a joke when I ask this but could they be fake? I had that suspicion back when I used online dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/21 06:13 PM

What is DNA?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/21 06:11 PM

I haven’t used online dating in over 10 years so I don’t know if anything has changed. I don’t think the people online - including myself - were as desirable as people in the world at large. If we were, we probably would not have resorted to online dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/21 06:09 PM
1

Evidently no. I am an average guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/21 06:01 PM

Females don’t appreciate compliments from me so I don’t give them anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/21 12:24 AM

In this scenario, validation comes in the form of saying nice things about a woman to that woman? I just want to make sure I understand what you’re talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 11:36 PM
1

Long-term relationship? That isn’t even on the horizon for me. At this point, I’d settle for a pleasant conversation or someone willingly spending time with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 04:42 AM
2

Hi. A big contributor to males’ desperation for sex is lack of sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 04:38 AM
1

Females aren’t part of my life. They’re not dangerous to me at all. When I was trying to meet someone, trying to talk to females was incredibly difficult and trying but didn’t put me in physical danger (as far as I know).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 04:33 AM
1

Haha. Yeah. Couldn’t be more true. If I ever got married, I’d take a break and let her do most of the work. Too much work trying to even talk to a female and I haven’t even tried that hard the past year or two.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 03:57 AM

Ya.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 08:37 PM
1

Anything. In my limited experience, if something wasn’t exactly what the female wanted, she would just stop talking to me and not try to compromise or meet halfway.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 12:29 PM
3

Yeah. People can’t smell themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 05:47 AM
1

I’m not really sure what’s expected in terms of my appearance but I guess not me. Of course, I don’t have any kind of social media and mostly just watch sports or old shows on TV. I’m not exactly in the know.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 05:24 AM
2

Haha. I’ve never worn any kind of cologne my entire life.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 05:09 AM
2

I already do both. I thought they were talking about having some kind of special smell that is attractive to females. I didn’t read the post in its entirety.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 05:00 AM
1

All right, well again, I have no idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 04:48 AM
1

Well, outside of family members, women are not really a part of my life so I have no clue who is “pure,” or whatever you want to call it, and who isn’t. I was asking because I don’t know and probably wouldn’t have a way of knowing anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 04:45 AM
1

Yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 04:38 AM
1

Is abortion that common? I’ve never even heard of anyone having one second or third hand.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 04:31 AM

That’s funny. In my experience females just do not want to negotiate at all when it comes to meeting halfway on things or just trying to have a conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 04:25 AM
6

I’d never heard of the smell factor. Maybe that is my problem. You can’t smell yourself so not much can be done. haha.

I don’t particularly care if I get hollow compliments from someone who isn’t interested in me but rape as a reason for withholding is a ridiculous excuse.

I will never know. I have a few friends - also single guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/21 04:36 PM

I have no idea what you are asking me. I just told you I have tried throughout my life.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/21 04:33 PM

I’m 40. I’ve made enough of an effort throughout my life. I’m done for now.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/21 04:30 PM
2

I never met anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/21 04:25 PM
1

I was wondering if maybe guys expect the female to like them more afterwards but it’s just a neutral thing for the female?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 03:18 PM
1

I actually haven’t had the opportunity “open up,” or cry to a female but could it be that females are just neutral to the behavior and not turned off? Honest question from someone who has no idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 03:08 PM
2

I never went to college and trying to meet someone would have been the only reason I’d have gone (was never a school person). The investment of time and money just wasn’t worth it to me because I thought I could meet someone elsewhere for free. I still don’t regret not going because I don’t know that I actually would have met anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 03:03 PM

When you actually have to deliver you either don’t have the money or put yourself in a precarious long-term situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 01:42 PM

I don’t believe anything anyone tells me in general. I’ve noticed that whenever something sounds even a little bit over the top, the messenger is leaving out information.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 12:29 PM

I have no qualifications or experience in this realm but I think what’s happening in the scenario is pretty transparent and I’m surprised people don’t agree with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 12:16 PM
3

Yeah. I don’t follow politics or what’s going on in the world at all but even I have sensed this type of thing from what I’ve heard. Although, I don’t have a good feel for whether my workplace is this way.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 12:08 PM
1

Yeah I would but not sure I would go out with anyone where I work. Not exactly my kind of people and I don’t think I am theirs. All things being equal, I’d rather go out with someone who worked part-time or a less long-term time-horizon type of job.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 12:05 PM
2

I’m not very familiar with mail order brides or arranged marriages but I think you only hear about the horror stories. I’m sure plenty of people are happy in each scenario. I’d guess arranged marriages seem more questionable from the outside than the inside. Mail order brides marriages - I’m sure there are many where each feel fortunate they were able to meet someone. I don’t think everybody is obsessed with it happening in one particular way.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 08:45 PM

The only proviso is that there is a level of wealth - that I have never experienced - where tens of thousands of dollars (or more) is equivalent to a few bucks on a relative scale to you or I. It might not even be a conscious phenomenon for many rich men. It would be as though some woman thought she was preying on me because I gave her a dollar for a vending machine. I guess she is in some cosmic way but it’s pretty significant in the grand scheme.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 02:34 PM
1

Enough of this “love yourself,” BS. If you had asked anyone in human history up until about 50-55 years ago if they, “loved themselves,” they’d have looked at you sideways. A useless, made-up modern concept to keep wheels spinning for no reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 02:18 PM

I’m not particularly upset about my failure because I don’t think I’m terribly responsible for it. That is not to say it doesn’t suck or I’d rather it weren’t so.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 08:01 PM
2

Surprised but glad to see this response. The usual response to anyone’s failure on here seems to be to improve more even for those of us who are happy with who we are.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 07:27 PM
5

Seems obvious to me but the messaging is to get on the, “improve yourself,” treadmill from here to eternity. Reddit is the treadmill advertising arm from what I can tell.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 05:10 PM
3

I wish I knew. I’m completely ignored by females so they don’t reveal their preferences, or if I fall short in some way, to me. I know there are theories online but those don’t account for the female population at large. I don’t think I will ever know and that is life.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/21 04:44 PM

I don’t think anyone should take advice from anyone unless they’re putting money down. It’s the easiest thing in the world to give out when there is nothing at stake.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/21 09:26 AM
1

I think it’s only a problem for those of us who aren’t having sex because you get the feeling the culture is rubbing our noses in what we are missing out on. I don’t think it registers strongly with those who are having sex and they are making the rules of the game.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/21 09:22 AM
1

On the other hand, unless a guy married a woman who makes a good deal more than him, spending money on his appearance will be a negative return on investment. It will probably cost him more to have a girlfriend or wife. That is why I have a lot more than I would.

Evolutionary psychology is mostly BS. 99% of people on the internet (including me) don’t understand evolution and should leave it out of their commentary. You don’t need fake science to be right about something.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 11:53 PM
2

Is it disgust or just indifference? I am asking because I don’t actually know. I’ve never thought anyone was disgusted with the thought of me (although I’m sure someone is) rather they just didn’t see me in that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 11:15 PM
1

Still holding.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 11:10 PM

The last girlfriend I’ve had was never and I have had no one-night stands. Don’t feel so bad. I don’t think anyone unattractive is interested in me (if they are, they sure don’t know how to show it) but it wouldn’t upset me and I wouldn’t hold it against them if they were.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 10:51 PM
3

Yeah. I don’t disagree. Some of us don’t have anywhere else to go. I think that explains the behavior more than any gluttony for punishment.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 09:37 PM

I think you’re right but some of us can’t do any better than a, “maybe someday,” so we can only work with what we have to work with.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 08:14 PM
1

I don’t see 4-8 years as a big age difference but I guess some people do.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 08:11 PM

As far as someone desiring me? It hasn’t happened, so I can’t say but I sure as hell hope I’d enjoy that!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 03:42 PM

I think “power,” is something that probably isn’t ever truly known until after the fact and is still not quite clear even then.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/21 09:29 PM

Well then I disagree. I guess volunteering does not equal empathy but I don’t think empathy is necessary anyway. So long as they are helping the poor and victims of violence that is probably better than just having empathy.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 04:31 PM

I think they’re all big deals and shouldn’t be diminished. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s on par with violence or poverty but still important.

i can’t lie about knowing females when i don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 10:35 AM

i guess as far as appearance but i haven’t gotten to know enough to say what kind of person i like. i know what i don’t like e.g., rude, obnoxious, unreliable but that doesn’t say much.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 02:12 AM

i’d need to get to know a few and get back to you. i mostly go by what i see on tv.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 01:27 AM

I think you’re right but I’m guessing the question is with regard to male struggles with loneliness/inability to find a relationship. I think life circumstances - victim of abuse, indigence, etc. - may be a different story from the author’s viewpoint.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 01:12 AM

Neither of us has any way of knowing if that’s true. Looks are mostly innate.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/21 12:46 PM
2

I don’t know. I wonder about this. I went to a very small school so there weren’t a lot of candidates. I have no idea if things would have been a lot different in a larger school but I’d think more candidates would give me better odds of meeting someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 08:50 PM
1

I wouldn’t change anything. If someone doesn’t like me for who I am then it’s just not in the cards and I accept that.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 08:47 PM

I can always complain. At least online. That’s what the internet is for.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 07:47 PM

I’m good with who I am. I don’t know that I know any guys that get sex consistently. Most of my friends are single guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 07:44 PM

I’m attracted to a ton of them but I honestly have no idea who they are sleeping with. They don’t tell me that - they don’t even talk to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 07:38 PM

Even though I’m fine with who I am? Make changes for someone I haven’t met and don’t even know exists? So I can appeal to them?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 07:35 PM

What about those of us who are happy with who we are but would like to meet someone? I think someone would be fortunate to meet me so I don’t see why someone else wouldn’t have the same kind of thinking about me. In any event, it’s probably not going to happen because - for whatever reason - females don’t see me the same way but I at least reserve my right to complain on the internet. Isn’t that what it’s for?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 06:29 PM

Emotional intelligence decides I shouldn’t want sex?

I don’t disagree.

According to the article, it’s what the females want.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 02:56 AM

All of those things are true and have nothing to do with being kind or unkind.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 02:49 AM
4

Yeah. I don’t really know anyone in that age range.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 01:00 AM
2

If they’re only looking for a good person then they can’t tell that by my appearance. I think you completely misread the spirit of my response. I am not even disagreeing with you. The article suggested it was the only thing and I was saying I don’t think so.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:41 AM
2

I don’t think there is anything wrong with females doing that. I just said if that is what they truly care about - as the article contends- then I’d have people seeking me out to at least see if I’m the kind of guy the article says females want. I think you’re really straining to find something offensive. The word females is completely benign.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:37 AM
9

Hahaha. Well maybe on some segments of the internet but I assure you nobody I know would ever care about the term.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 12:34 AM
5

Have to announce? I was using the language from the article. That’s all. I don’t know where you’re from but females is not considered offensive where I am from (nor is males). I don’t disagree that women don’t like me because Ive been alone my entire life. I will say they’ll never know my personality because they never talk to me. That’s all I was saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/21 11:54 PM

Why?

You’ve been with your husband since you were 14?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/21 03:54 PM

I just think it’s a bizarre thing to try to demonstrate because I don’t think guys particularly care if a woman is strong or independent. Bragging about something that makes no difference to us as guys is more confusing than anything. Let’s face it though, if woman were so strong and independent, we would never hear about it because it would be apparent.

I don’t know if appearance is everything or whatever some people have to say about it but I think of myself as a kind man with emotional intelligence. If that was really what was important - since these are traits you really won’t know until you get to know someone to some degree- females would try to get to know lots of men of different levels of attractiveness to figure out who had these qualities and who doesn’t. Curiously, females have no interest in even having a conversation with me. If th…

I’m skeptical of anyone who claims they know what will work for any particular person. Nothing has worked for me and I have no idea why. I don’t think people without success in this arena often truly know the reason.

I haven’t been on many dates. I wouldn’t say I loved the experience but I would like to know what the experience of people who go on dates with a lot of different types of people is. It’s more that I would like to know what I am missing out rather than getting anything out of dating.

Yeah. That’s why honesty isn’t the best policy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 04:24 PM
-2

Well that may be a reason why it’s a bad idea. I’d think being open and honest just makes the person being honest about cheating feel better and the person on the receiving end of information they don’t need ends up feeling worse. As far as disease, another reason not to cheat.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 03:39 PM

The most ethical thing to do is to cheat and make sure the other person never finds out. On the other side, don’t ask/don’t tell is most ethical. I’m not qualified to give this opinion but will anyway.
