Outside of that system, there are entire specialties that are still “good ol boys clubs.” There are entire bodies of research that show having a doctor similar to yourself increases patient care and advocacy. This is why we need AA, Korean, Islamic doctors. This is why the system needs to have an “obsession” with welcoming us in.
