[FR] The things you see once your eyes are openMakes me wonder what dumb shit I'm still saying and doing | /r/MarriedRedPill | 25/07/18 08:28 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 25, 2017There will be shitty weeks and backsliding, but the bigger goal is not the specific stuff but changing habits. Shitty week when I'm struggling at the gym I fall back to a lesser workout rather than start eroding the habit. You are so spot on with this! It is all about the habit. This is where I need to focus. I will fight the fight on a bad week knowing I continue progressing. How's the not drinking working out? My wife came home twice in July with a bottle of wine. I had a couple glasses each t… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 01/08/17 03:14 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 25, 2017Grade for this week: C The grind is setting in…. The excitement of beginning something is wearing off and I really don’t feel like doing shit anymore. This is the dangerous point for me! I’m always fast out of the gate, but die on the back stretch. I’m just going to gut this out and trudge through. It’s difficult to be aloof and amusing while feeling like this. Right now I’m just gruff and matter-of-fact. I will need to change this soon. Who wants to hang out and sleep with a grump? Physical Die… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 26/07/17 03:42 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 18, 2017Me too! It's uphill, but seems to me everything worthwhile is. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 23/07/17 06:41 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 11, 2017Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcFVaWrVYfY I watched this a couple times. Most people don't know what they want and many that do don't try. Wow. I know it's true too. Figure out what you want, fucking mean it, then do it. Or suffer the consequences..... | /r/MarriedRedPill | 23/07/17 06:40 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 18, 2017Just got the book thanks! | /r/MarriedRedPill | 23/07/17 06:34 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 18, 2017Week 3 07/18/17 Grade last week: C Started to settle into a rhythm this week really just focusing on what needs to be done. The wife seems to be in better mood. She hasn’t really said anything to me about this or that. I think because it’s becoming obvious shit is getting done. Even stuff she would have considered her responsibility like weeding the flower bed. I did it because I didn’t like the way it looked. I’ve also noticed my work capacity is beginning to increase. This is my energy levels … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 19/07/17 12:02 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 11, 2017Figure out what you want, fucking mean it, then do it. And keep doing it. You motioned those small and large decisions we make every day. I think there is magic in the compounding of those decisions like in the "Slight Edge" book mentioned elsewhere on this sub. The devil is in the flipside. When you don't follow through you have to start over and often it's farther back than the original starting position. Like losing weight then going off the diet and gaining back everything you lost and more.… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 17/07/17 09:06 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 11, 2017Shinzen Young said, "About 70% of self knowledge is bad news." I think with me it's closer to 90%. That's why I've let it go this far. It's been the elephant in the room for me. Something to be dealt with that I keep putting off because it sucks. Of course problems only multiply when not dealt with promptly. Thank you for reminding me of Locus of Control. It's a concept I've used in crisis before, but lost sight of. It obviously serves well here. Paradoxically, I've gotten much more recognition … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 13/07/17 02:04 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 11, 2017If we made the deal for me to be a stay at home, it wouldn't be a problem. She even offered it several years back, but I declined. I should have let her be stay at home and kicked ass at work but I didn't because I was scared. I've always been fun and creative, but the stress and pressure right now are making that seem far away. I have so many areas to work on. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 12/07/17 07:25 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 11, 2017Progress! GTD style planning may help with scope and overlaod This is how I've organized. I didn't know it was a thing! Your goal is to fix your shit and be a man. Your wife's behaviour may improve or not. Observe, proceed accordingly. You need nobody's approval but your own. Yes I'm working on that. I do keep fighting the urge to fantasize future approval. Could be anybody, not just my wife. My mind keeps playing out different scenarios like this while I'm doing something. I never realized I've… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 12/07/17 07:19 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 11, 2017Grade for last week. C- RECAP Positives No Fap or porn Working out regularly Diet was great No alcohol Knocked out some of the easier household to do’s Negatives Started losing mission focus as the week went by. I get tired and stop thinking about what needs to be done because it makes me feel exhausted. My old pattern is to get excited and rabbit sprint through shit in the beginning then tucker out and die down the back stretch without reaching the goal. My goal is for me to feel like I’m reach… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 11/07/17 08:45 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017Yeah I've got these plans in my head. The thing that needs to be done before the thing that needs to be done so I can get the thing that needs to be done done. No more procrastinating. Simple lists with easy stuff first. Planning is early morning before family gets up. I'll get my T levels checked by the end of the month. I've avoided the thought because somehow it makes me seem less manly and I don't like doctors/drugs. (sorry Dr's out there) Are there legit web resources for raising it natural… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 06/07/17 03:20 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017This hits hard. I do want her respect back. I've thought of it as the measuring stick for my progress. I want our old (awesome) relationship back. I want to model an excellent marriage for my kids (boy and girl). I see that I need to do this for me, but I find it difficult to envision the goal as something internal rather than externally validated. I know you are right - it's going to be a difficult to dial in. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 06/07/17 03:07 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017List mostly complete. It's super long so I don't want to post the whole thing here. I've already started knocking off the low hanging fruit. I'll post accomplishments and weekly to-do lists in each OYS posting. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 06/07/17 02:56 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017September 1st. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 06/07/17 02:49 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017I'm giving up alcohol for the month. I will pay attention to my performance and how I feel. I've started a short list of exactly this. 1 2 3. Seeing this unfinished work is causing me stress too. It hits me on multiple levels. Ugly, clutter, wife is frustrated with it, my failure to perform. I need accomplishment and momentum here. I will report back on these things weekly. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 05/07/17 02:12 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017Good advice. I also do well in that environment. Even thrive in it. My problem is I'm always looking for more and push the boundaries and blow it up because I'm a dreamer. So I moved into self employed sales. I can be good at it. Very good with more effort. I just haven't shown the discipline because it's always been easier to do something else that needs attention. I've been much too easy on myself. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 05/07/17 02:04 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017The grindiest grind you'll ever grind. Nice! This gives me hope. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 04/07/17 10:04 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017I'll definitely spend some time reading up on T and lifting more. I joined Crossfit because I like to climb around and jump on stuff. The whole "functional training" thing plays well to that. Also, they teach Olympic weightlifting which I need to learn for heavy lifts. I don't think they sling max weight around all the time which is what I think "lifting heavy" is, but I think I can go in on my own and do it on the side. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 04/07/17 09:52 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017When you mentioned parallels, I hoped you were going to tell me how everything is where you want it now a year later. Selfishly, that would mean I don't have as much work to do as it appears. It is good to hear that you're feeling the changes though. This is going to be a grind. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 04/07/17 08:00 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017I never thought of it as escapism because I don't drink constantly. Looks like I need to give it up. I'll leave it alone then. Does this affect T also? | /r/MarriedRedPill | 04/07/17 07:57 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 04, 2017I found this sub searching for strategies for getting my shit together. I’ve been lurking for a few weeks now. This is my first post ever on Reddit. 20 years married. 2 kids. Over the last several years I’ve fallen pretty far off course…. I have a strong wife who takes care of business and gets shit done. As a provider she’s more of a man than I am. Having said that, she doesn’t like it and didn’t sign up for it. . She expects me to be a strong leader It hasn’t always been like that. I was the C… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 04/07/17 01:15 PM
