Without trust, there can be no relationship. That's not just a "water under the bridge" sort of thing, and if her family knew about the pregnacy and they supported her keeping it... there isn't anything you could have possibly done short of exactly what she wanted and was planning that could ever absolve you in the eyes of her family. It was over before you knew it.

Front the first post: She was on the pill and I pulled out anyway for our whole relationship After racking my brain trying to figure out how this happened, she confessed that she stopped taking the pill. She never told me she was going to stop. Now she's pregnant and says she wants to keep it. Her family is involved and telling her to keep it. I tell her that I am not ready for a kid, but she won't listen. We are neglecting that she may have thought they were good. Nobody is giving her that bene…

Go back to 4chan or I'm going to get you grounded. No internet for a week, mister. Don't think I won't call your parents.

Oh how easy it must be to sit there and scold someone else for not acting the way you would have acted. Heap on some shame, because, geez, damn poor women, she's vulnerable right now and society says we have to protect 'em. No wait, didn't she try to trap him in a relationship by willfully stopping her birth control in an attempt to leverage his future over his head to stay with her? Right, she was the one that created the mess, yet is still the poor helpless victim. She's not suffering because …

Right, it's a good idea to confront an emotionally unstable woman who has already demonstrated that she'll lie and cheat to get whatever it is she wants. Yeah, go have a word with her, have her raise her voice and sit in the back of a cop car. There was no "good" way to ditch that situation without possibly going into more murkey territory. Hit the eject button and get as far away from that crazy broad as possible.

You're right, it is a huge deal. Dude just got freed from someone trying to hold his future over his head in order to maintain a relationship. Good for him, that must have been stressful.

I think we both know that you're in the wrong place to start with the macho "that's not what a man does" sort of retarded macho bullshit. You're trying to make excuses for expected behavior. Would you have done it differently? Can you specifically highlight the areas where he should have manned up to take care of someone who up until that point had made it her goal to force him into taking care of a child without his concent through decit? You go ahead and be as manily as you want idiot. See how…

Well played OP. Don't bother yourself with the douchey white-knights, what you did was a bit harsh but the only way to play it unless you want to pay for a kid she tried to trap you into having. Any of these "omg she is so fragile right now, shouldn't have left durr hurr" weak, and impossibly stupid redditors groaning on about the feelings and emotional state of the hostage taker. What kind of stockholm syndrome bullshit is that? WTF /r/MensRights? Once she didn't have any "bullets in the gun" t…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
