Sorry, I worded it poorly. See my edit for clarification

To add to this, doing drugs is a sign of openness to new experience which is an attractive trait EDIT: I didn't express this clearly. "Openness to new experience" is a personality trait that generally means people take more risks and are more likely to try new things. This is attractive because it often leads to fun and excitement. But people who are high on the scale are also more likely to use and abuse drugs.

It's kind of like if gay guys are checking you out or hitting on you if you're straight. It's a compliment and it just means you're attractive, probably well groomed and well dressed.

The least I could do. I hope things get better for you. I'm serious about the exercise part too. If nothing else

Well I hope that you can find something to live for man. That's all this life is. Our meaning and our purpose is something we create for ourselves. That could be a lot of things. I am sorry about your trauma. I truly am. I have some of my own that has wreaked havoc on me mentally. A few things that have helped me are: Excercise. People say this a lot but excercise is doing like 75% of the work in fighting my depression and anxiety. Not even joking. Reading. Fiction, nonfiction whatever you're in…

Tell em man. You're absolutely right. People are full of excuses. I hope things are better for you now though, that's a hell of a story.

This is a good insight and can help with self reflection to understand why you're attracting women who are bad for you. Side note, it's interesting how that works. Certain women think I am incredibly hot while many wouldn't give me a second look

Why do you say that? Being in a relationship can be great with the right person

For real. I was with my now ex wife for ten years and I'm only just beginning to figure out how to pick up a woman again

Hit up your local witchy shops that sell crystals and shit

This is spot on. I want to add that you don't have to have an overly "alt" style yourself to pick up alt women. It certainly helps in a lot of cases but if it's not who you are then you'll come off as a poser if you overdo it. I am into the same music but I am clean cut, a little nerdy, no tattoos and have had success with these girls.

The last paragraph is something that has done a lot for me personally. Some of my platonic female friends and I will innocently flirt, either in person or online. It doesn't mean anything, it's often far from sexual, but it's fun. And that sort of thing has done wonders for my social skills and ability to flirt when I really am interested in a woman romantically

You make excellent points. That's basically how I was taking the post, though the OP did present it as more universal. These are some signs to look for that depend upon the individual

Honestly the way your post is worded it sounds like you're almost looking for a sugar baby

Hell yeah, thank you for this motivation. I am at a crossroads because I am in a divorce that's about to be finalized but has taken over a year. So I have been trying to expand my life and enrich myself. I have been working out a lot (which is like the best thing I have ever done for myself) as well as updating my wardrobe, trying new things. Your post has given me an extra push of motivation, so I appreciate the advice.

I feel like the biggest thing holding me back here is my career. I am a teacher and unless someone really admires the altruism in that profession, the low salary is a turnoff.

On the other hand, imagine being that woman where no one cares about their mind or personality and only want them for their looks. All I'm saying is that their experience has different pros and cons.

Confidence is king. My uncle was like 5'6" and honestly a little ugly but he had the confidence of a rock star and a personality that made everyone around him feel special. Dude slayed pussy his entire life. Honestly to the point of being a deviant but the point remains.
