I’m glad you feel happier now that you’ve worked out, but you also shouldn’t have had to in order to be happy. Plenty of guys like bigger women with more weight, just as many girls like scrawnier guys (I’m one of them). There’s been more of a movement by women for women to love yourself the way you are - if you want to look a certain way, go for it, but if not, you’re still a human and deserving of respect. That mentality hasn’t really been a thing by guys for guys, it’s always been “workout or …

What do you mean by “extreme feminist”?

As we here all know, the most common thing for women to do in their prime years of peak desirability is have great sex with top tier men who have too many options to commit and then settle with a regular joe when their prime is up (around their late 20s). Hi, I’m new, uh, where the hell did you hear that from?

The problem is that it makes being a SAHD much more difficult than needed because of basic needs like changing tables and stigma around being a stay at home dad. He’s seen as “less than a man” because he chooses to be a stay at home dad. My parents who are reaching their 25th anniversary function they same way. Actually my dad has arachnophobia so my mom kills it and whoever is more awake or closer goes and checks out the sound, but even at my aunts and uncles it’s whoever sees the spider first.…

SAHMs are treated differently than SAHDs. Women have baby changing tables in public washrooms, it’s a normal thing to be a SAHM. For dads, there’s hardly ever a changing table and they might get lucky with a family room, when it’s a SAHD there’s usually something seen as wrong with the dad because he doesn’t earn “enough” or something wrong with the mom for not having “enough” maternal instruments. Well I live alone in a dorm so I usually deal with spiders and noises, but when he stays over I st…

That’s good. I agree that some things are trivial but there are some things that might seem trivial but I think are rather important and still need more awareness

Thank you for your response. I don’t think women and men are the same, just that we should be given the same opportunities and should be treated with respect regardless of gender, there is still many social issues women face that men typically don’t (ie. SAHM mom vs SAHD) which is what I believe in. I also don’t think it’s fair to say women must provide the softness in the relationship for men who provide “protection” (protection from what?). Anyways, thanks again for your explanation and not ju…

Personally I just hope that the new radical feminists (women > men mentality) is a loud minority. I still believe there is inequality socially between men and women and a double standard in many cases, which is why I’d call myself a feminist but the word has been ruined by the others.

Like the whole “female freedom in exchange for protection” I just... don’t agree with that. I know feminism isn’t allowed on this sub (not sure why yet) but if this is the mindset then I think we need feminism

Is the thought they women must be soft and lack strength and stamina a common mindset in this sub? I don’t mean to be confrontational, just a genuine question

Here's my perspective as an 18 year old girl who is in her first serious relationship this year, first year of uni. For me I don't have a specific list of demands, more like unspoken expectations, honesty, communication, fairness. If equal salaries is important to you that's fair but also in college it's hard to say what you'll be doing in four years so don't worry about that too much. Attractiveness is generally important, for me I honestly wouldn't call my boyfriend model 10/10 but I love him,…

I’m fairly new to TRP but I’ll give my two cents. Personally I would want a guy with a little experience if I were to date someone new. My boyfriend and I are each other’s first (both 18) but if something happened I’d want someone with at least one sexual partner. Personally for me sex isn’t a big part of a relationship so I don’t really have a max limit to how many partners they’ve had as long as there was protection and a STI test

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
