Seriously, there’s body shaming in all forms and it’s happening in this thread. None of it is ok. It’s ok if it’s not a preference but calling something someone else can’t control disgusting is just an asshole move.

How would this play out then? A young woman goes in to get the procedure and they deny it until the person who inseminated her comes and signs for it? Does that person need to prove they inseminated her, can they even do that? Then what happens if he doesn’t want it and she does? Can he force an abortion? Or if she wants it, can he stop it... or are you thinking just a symbolic gesture like he’s on record protesting it? Does this go to a trial? It’s not fair because it took both to get pregnant …

You should really consider that some things you feel absolutely certain of might not be the way they actually are. And not assume people are “monsters” so easily. It’s an already heated subject, ad hominem doesn’t help, and trying to understand someone else’s perspective can be a great exercise to deeper understanding. I’m not telling you to change your mind or anything, just really explore the subject from as many points of view as you can because there really is no easy, simple cut and dry ans…

Men don’t have a part in the sex decision? Women don’t have a part in the serious relationship decision? I’m not following any of this.

Because it’s not about picking on them. It’s about calling them out when they play that card

This is like a trope though, that’s probably why you were attacked. It’s repeated ad nauseam, they’ve all heard it a million times

Ignorance is an opportunity to learn something new. People just need to relax and not get offended so easily. It's funny cause it's both sides that seem hyper sensitive to this stuff. Think of that south park episode that "makes fun" of tourettes, I bet there were people without tourettes that got offended by that episode, while people who actually had it applauded it for doing the best job of accurately representing their condition. Who fucking knows, maybe the guy on the plane would've laughed…
