People vote for what's best for them. And that's fine. Why would you expect people to sacrifice what's in their best interest so women can abort? If it were that important, women could just not have sex. Don't initiate your knee-jerk defense circuit before you understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying "why don't women just not have sex," but if someone is going to make a sacrifice then it should be the fucking person whose concern it is.

I knew the Harris hype was smoke and mirrors from the get go due to people getting shook after Biden's bad debate performance. Of course it was. How could switching candidates so close to the election be anything but a disaster?

Yeah, just look in the threads I posted (the second one). Full disclosure (and I'm not sure why this matters, but people were making a big deal out of it), the gym doesn't have BIPOC only hours, rather it has BIPOC only "events" which occur regularly during normal business hours. And, in fact, on the page it says to look on google for when these special "events" occur, except google will say the gym is open when it's actually "closed" (for white people, and straight men, depending on the day).

Yes. And when I made a thread about it I was told that I'm exactly why such a policy is necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 12:10 AM

Yeah, stop doing that, is what I'm saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 09:09 PM

You said: You claim to not liking identity politics, while MAGA is exactly that. which made it sound like I endorsed MAGA or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 09:07 PM

Okay? I didn't vote for Trump.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 08:41 PM

Or, and here's a really crazy fucking idea, not basing the choice on race or gender at all!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 08:40 PM

I'm not blaming minorities. I'm blaming your out of touch bullshit, phrases like "BIPOC," or your knee jerk reaction of immediately defaulting to identity politics.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 08:27 PM

It's not just identity politics but their particular brand of woke identity politics that no one but their hard core subscribes to. Do you think the average black person in America identifies with the term BIPOC or the average Latino with LatinX? It's ludicrous. The only people who use those terms are "___ studies" academics locked away in their ivory towers and their useful idiot tumblr feminists who haven't left their rooms in a decade because of their crippling agoraphobia and have probably n…

/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 06:45 PM

Because kicking out Joe less than 4 months before an election and putting in someone no one voted for was such a brilliant move That was just a symptom of the real problem which was denying that Joe wasn't fit for 2 terms as president. They should have started strategizing how to win 2024 with a different candidate on 11/06/2020. It's also a symptom of selecting Kamala to be VP based on her appearance and gender, since that was all the rage in 2020, instead of someone with more authentic appeal,…

Okay, but what actually happened at the conference that would have justified having it shut down? Here's a recap from the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is of course on the opposite side of the political spectrum as the MRM (or what they believe the MRM to be): https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2014/06/28/first-international-conference-men%E2%80%99s-issues-day-1 Seems pretty tame.

You're trying to score a gotcha by insisting on some sort of narrow and exact definition or criteria that something has to meet in order to be a euphemism, like it's some sort of technical term. But it's not. That's just not the way language works. Let's just ask rrr/asklinguistics.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/24 09:25 PM
1

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euphemism So you can see that there are many ways for a word or a term to be a euphemism. I'm saying people here use the "social skills" in place of "superficially charming" because it sounds more weighty, important, or of fundamental importance, which makes the person they're talking about seem like a complete buffoon for lacking this quality, rather than just someone who isn't good at one specific thing. "Game" isn't a euphemism. It's just a slang word.

Well I qualified it with "superficially." Smarmy kind of implies no one is falling for it and that the person is a bad person. A superficially charming person might also be a deeply charming person too.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/24 04:16 PM
5

I should have been clearer. I meant that people like to pretend people who aren't superficially charming or charismatic lack all those other skills, so they seem like utter buffoons.

My post has more to do with people acting like people who aren't superficially charming are lacking in other ways than it has to do with people who are superficially charming. You can find examples of people doing it in the thread.

yeah the 'actual social skills' described in the OP are essentially a baseline to function as an adult in the context of work etc. Except I know people who are charming but completely lack all of those qualities, have no self awareness, can't change, can't grow, don't even want to change, etc. It's impossible to deal with them outside of these sorts of superficial conversations that we have for entertainment. You're so desperate to convince yourself that you that there's any depth to your charac…

You talking about me?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 07:43 PM

What sort of person is this way but isn't necessarily socially graceful? That sort of person... Like, I don't know what you're looking for, an actual example? Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice? The farmer from Dark Waters? I know people who are the opposite, who are very charming but extremely flawed beyond that. I bet Jeffrey Epstein and Puff Daddy were pretty charming when you first met them.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 07:29 PM
2

I'm not "limiting social skills." I'm saying that people accuse men of not having social skills because they are not superficially charming but act like it means they also lack all the other skills that fall under the "social skills" umbrella. My entire argument relies on there being more to "social skills" than superficial charm, so how could I be "limiting social skills?"

/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:47 PM

Those are ALSO social skills, sure. "Social skills" is a vague and broad term. But there's nothing about this subset that makes it any more "actual" than the other thing. They have utility in a broad range of situations that occur on a daily basis, whereas being charming and flirty is basically irrelevant except on the first or second date.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:46 PM

but they simply don't have enough to start a fun conversation with a stranger and turn it flirty Right, to be superficially charming, which you are calling "legit social skills" (or the lack of it "legit lacking social skills" which I admit isn't quite the same). I know for an absolute fact that people with godly skill at starting a fun conversation and turn it flirty can be absolutely abysmal at dealing with people in every other way and be completel…

Right, so I think a lot of people attempt to conflate people who are a little awkward with the people you're talking about (Although some people are just uncomfortable with eye contact. I don't really see that as being a big deal. I personally have no problem with it.).
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:36 PM

LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:29 PM

When people talk about men not having social skills, what they mean is that those men lack the ability to be superficially charming, but they try to pass it off as those men lacking actual social skills. That's my point. That there's a difference between being able to be superficially charming and having real social skills.

Trump is a remarkable person. Anyone who denies it is coping. I don't mean that with any positive connotation. But let's not pretend Trump's are a dime a dozen. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that women have already made up for whatever deficit existed historically. I don't just mean more women are attending university than men. I mean that more women HAVE attended university than men, even though more men were attending university for centuries, it was such a small percent of the total population that women have made up for that in only a few decades because a much greater percent of total population are now attending college.

I would love to see an "area under the curve" based on percent of population attending college to compare the total amount of advantage or disadvantage garnered by women or men over the last 200 years. Do you think that men should sacrifice themselves to the utmost for women and for society Fuck no Isn't his argument that you'll find a sense of meaning and purpose in taking on responsibilities that help society? I don't think he's right, at least not across the board. However, I don't think he's just saying that you should resign yourself to misery in service of others.

not just going from overweight to normal weight, but going from normal weight to extremely lean face is also underrated. nearly all models and handsome men have extremely lean faces, which doesn't necessarily mean they are extremely lean themselves; it's just the way their fat is distributed. it's probably the number 1 underrated thing when it comes to male attractiveness.

Social skills is a misnomer. There's nothing skillful about it. Otherwise, it would be the only "skill" that alcohol can improve tenfold. It's more like social calibration. In reality, social skills can mean something unbelievably douchey.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 07:13 AM

Clearly I meant that in terms of being an authority on what should or shouldn't be the case, a government is essentially just a bunch of people - i.e. that no amount of organization grants any more authority to decide what things in life should or shouldn't be fair to a group than it has as "just a bunch of people." You couldn't figure that out from context. Instead you tried to score some stupid point about me not knowing what a government is. You're a clown.

Quick, name one historical mining disaster off the top of your head. Anyway, if anything, that counts against whatever point you're (or whoever) trying to make about women not being able to work and is more evidence of how dangerous working conditions were to boot. Also, it was in 1911, way after traditional gender roles had been established.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 11:30 PM

"Worked" - past tense
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 10:44 PM

Funny how all the patriarchal systems laid this trap when the the vast majority of men worked extremely difficult and dangerous dead-end jobs, divorce was much less common, there was less to do with excess money (if there ever was any), and penalties for not supporting one's family were extremely harsh, but as all of those things changed and the advantage men had in a traditional system grew, the dastardly patriarchs relaxed in their insistence on traditional roles.

Losing weight is relatively straightforward. It also gets easier and easier as it goes on, up to a point. As far as exercise, you could start with something really really simple. It's better than nothing. During work I'm constantly snacking as well. Yeah, you'd have to stop that. Just drink massive amounts of coffee instead.

Doesn't matter. The point is you can sit here and act like these men are idiots for building their worldviews from movies, while half the country has a view of men that seems to be derived from teen sex comedies like American Pie. Don't pretend like "men only want sex" isn't an incredibly popular idea. Or "you're not owed sex" when men complain of not being able to find female companionship.

My ex would never stop talking to her ex during our relationship. It was a constant source of stress in our relationship. It didn't help that he once came over and tried to fuck her. Another time they ran into each other at the bar and he just happened to not be able to find a ride home and had to stay over at her apartment. Yeah, lol at me. I was trying to not be a "controlling boyfriend" by being cool with it, even though I made no secret of not liking it. Imagine staying with someone like tha…

Because the guys there are losers, and it makes me feel like "what the fuck am I doing here?" I'm not saying that in a judgemental way. I don't actually think they're "losers" but that's the most fitting word. I have the utmost sympathy for them. But it is what it is. The women aren't much better. I abhor rejecting people, but I'm also terrible at feigning interest or just maintaining polite conversation with someone I don't want to talk to or lead on. When I travel i hike a lot and meet a lot of fellow hikers, the guys getting attention are usually skinny bearded introverts who may or may not have showered in the past 3-4 days. How many opportunities have you had watching women go for or ignore men while out hiking?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 07:27 PM

I have a hobby that a lot of women participate in. But I don't do it to meet women. I do it because it's my hobby. I've been doing it for like 7 years maybe (longer than that, but I've only been single for 7 years). I've not met any women through it. But I tend to keep to myself. I've gone to a few meetups and singles events because my friends wanted to, and they're always horrible, just awful, and sad.

I mean, it might be the case that there are more men than women who feel that way. I know guys who are definitely like their friends are their friends, like the people they can say how they really feel, where their wife is something different. I've always thought that was fucking bizarre, like why are you even married? When I was in a ltr, I greatly preferred the company of my ex and felt closer to her than anyone. Unfortunately, she was not as loyal as my guy friends, so maybe I was wrong.

I met him ~6 years ago. When I first met him, he had approached like 2000 women. Yeah, that sounds about right. I don’t believe men are as pulled in by excitement and charisma. Maybe? I don't know. Are you sure there just aren't that many women you find charismatic? For me, they are definitely few and far between, but when one shows up I'm smitten. There aren't many men who make a really strong impression on me either.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/24 04:02 AM

You’re thinking like a man. You have testosterone. You equate beauty and fuckability because you start from the point of arousal, and then have to work from there to figure out if there’s any connection. As a man, I almost never immediately think about sex when I see a woman I'm attracted to. Maybe if I'm like at a club or something. It's more like "Wow, what a magical world it would be dating that woman." Maybe when I was going through puberty I would fantasize about sex with certain girls. But…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 07:29 PM

Funnily, many such men who desperately want anal sex from their women would absolutely turn down any requests of pegging from their partner. Which is their right. I want to watch Jake Paul get his head boxed in by Mike Tyson. I don't want to get my head boxed in by Mike Tyson. Nothing hypocritical about that at all. You really should be directing that statement towards men who are resentful, not men who merely want it. And, yeah, I posted this before even finishing your comment. Whatever.

The wall has less to do with women's looks per se and more to do with the effect women's looks have on the male brain. The wall is when a woman goes from "omg, I will die if I can't have her" to "lol, ew, don't talk to me." Women go from infinite value to almost worthless. Almost no men are even close to the value of a young attractive woman, and the ones who are probably age gracefully. Men as a whole As a whole, huh? All together with one voice? Men as a whole repeatedly say they don't care about women's hobbies, careers, education, etc. Seems like they care more about women as people than you do, considering you just see them as a list of bullet points on a social media profile. Well yeah, like I said, not supermodels. I'm 40 and I've been on dates with good looking younger women. I'm not as good looking as Leo. Short. And I'm certainly not even close to being as charming.

I think that’s more his acting ability no? I personally think he's a terrible actor. And, yeah, I'm not saying he's getting roles strictly because he's good looking. He's a brand at this point. However, I still think people are underrating how pleasing a person's face has to be in order to carry a movie, and also how unattractive the average person is when you put them on the big screen. Go look through your high school yearbook. You'll be surprised at how ugly many of the "attractive" people lo…

Because only attractive profiles get matched with, and the things that make a profile attractive are superficial. Even ignoring physical attractiveness, it favors people who are good at selling themselves, at making profiles. A profile is inherently superficial. It's not a real person. It reminds me of dealing with people on ebay. People want to be lied to. They're always asking "is this guaranteed to be authentic?" And I'll tell them "no" even if I'm 99% certain it is, but I'll explain to them …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/24 09:26 PM

It's probably ultimately worse for women in LTR, considering it creates an unnatural filter that only lets superficially attractive men to pass through. In real life you can at least get a chance to know a woman before being filtered out.

You can change your facial features with surgery. Attractiveness also has a lot to do with facial leanness for men, like more than people think. Same with things like eyebrows and eyelashes.

Loose skin is unattractive to a lot of people. That's just a fact. It doesn't mean people are "shaming" women for it. People who have lost a lot of weight also get surgery to remove loose skin.

It's really not that weird. People love pointing out when they think something is overrated. Just go on unpopular opinion and search "overrated." Personally, I have made threads about Lane Staley being an overrated singer. Can you find examples of men pointing out that attractive women are mid who aren't really being pushed as being remarkably beautiful, like random models or attractive actresses who aren't media darlings?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/24 10:42 PM
1

Because when you're talking about people who are famous for being the most beautiful women in the world, it's a different conversation than when you're just talking about normal people. When they say "mid" they probably mean something like "normal attractive" not literally just average. Like, I might say some guy who can bench press 405 isn't that strong if we're talking about a global scale, but if we're talking local gym then he's amazingly strong.

She was relatively normal and popular in high school, although when I started dating her she didn't really have any friends, and was depressed, and had some odd tendencies. My ex-gf routinely completely dumped people from her life. Also, we had a cat and when we first got her the cat was the love of her life. One time we were coming back from some trip, hadn't seen the cat in days, and the cat was sitting on a windowsill in the stairwell as we came into our apartment, and my ex walked right past her without even acknowledging her existence. I was aghast. I should have heeded the warnings.

you're exaggerating how much effort it takes to have long hair and clip your nails these arguments are so silly because you act like knowing what a woman looks like without having done her hair and makeup and whatever else is some arcane knowledge that men couldn't possibly possess. we all know what women look like. also, i like women with short hair and a butch lesbian is a lesbian who dresses and has a haircut like a high school boy from the early 2000s. they tend to not be skinny.

But have a very nice face - symmetrical features I don't know why everyone always mentions symmetry like it's a primary factor in attractiveness. It's way down on the list. Obviously severely asymmetric faces will be unattractive, but symmetry is not what makes a face attractive. All you have to do is think about this for a few seconds and it will be obvious. Think of someone absolutely hideous, but not on account of severe asymmetry. Now make their left side exactly like their right. Are they s…

Zero new information or arguments have been presented since my post. Why would I change my mind? The only thing you added was a claim that I didn't know what petty meant, which we saw was wrong. The funny thing is OP doesn't even seem like he holds the view you're arguing against. You're arguing against a view no one here even holds because some guy posted 10 pictures and in the last one the woman happened to be wearing lipstick.

It's not. She has some lipstick on. It barely has an effect on her appearance. It's like "Haha! She has makeup on a scar on her arm. So I guess you don't know what you're talking about, OP." If anything, this thread has proven that women actually don't know when women are wearing makeup or not.

I hope someone could give me some explanation. Probably two different interpretations of the questions. The men are probably interpreting it literally - the person really checks all the boxes. The women are interpreting it as though they "check all the boxes" - i.e. they look good on paper - but in reality they don't actually check the boxes. Like, I don't personally like the "perfect" supermodel look. Yes, they are attractive. I'm not going to argue they aren't attractive. But it's not what I p…

Nope. The reason I would try is because assuming they really do check all the boxes then the problem is probably temporary, maybe some latent depression I'm not aware of, maybe some stupid subconscious thing that needs to be tempered, maybe it just needs a little time to ignite, maybe we just need to find our groove. Also, the "spark" only lasts so long anyway. In the long run, it's way more important that they "check all the boxes" than that they elicit some really strong emotional reaction at …

I'm not sure how you get from "Looks, status and charisma each play a bigger role" to "if you had a 100 women, only 60 would pick chill Hemsworth and 40 would pick rage Hemsworth." I browsed it. They define verbal "coercion" of someone you're dating as sexual assault. And also "forced" sexual contact, which could mean grabbing your partner's ass without their express consent. And, yeah, they define rape as sex when the victim is incapacitated or unable to consent, but they don't define exactly what either of those mean.

These studies start out not with "how can we figure out how many rapists/sexual aggressors there are?" but with "how can we design a study that maximizes the amount of 'rapists' we find?" Just look at this bullshit: Participants who emphatically rejected survey items were classed as “non-sexual aggressors” (NSAs), whilst those who provided any non-zero response were classed as “sexual aggressors” (SAs). Social sciences are a joke.

Like I said: Go look at the actual figures in that study you cited. Out of 50,000 murders, there were on 1000 same sex murders. But there were 18,000 female perpetrators. So the amount of men killed by women is at least 18x more than men killed by men. In my figure of 2 per day, it's only 2x.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:02 PM

women are 5x as likely to die from intimate partner violence They're not. .34 x 4790 = 1689 .06 x 17970 = 1078 1689/1078 = 1.57 times more likely to die from intimate partner violence

I mean, I literally just said I took the amount of men killed by men into account when I drastically low-balled the figure to 2 per day, down from 2.95 per day. Go look at the actual figures in that study you cited. Out of 50,000 murders, there were on 1000 same sex murders. But there were 18,000 female perpetrators. So the amount of men killed by women is at least 18x more than men killed by men. In my figure of 2 per day, it's only 2x.

The fact that your article disputes your math No it doesn't. You're just awful at math. it doesn't say the intimate partners are women. A percentage of those men are killed by other men. Same goes for women. And I took that into account when I low-balled the figure.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 02:15 PM
2

2.95 men are killed every day by intimate partners. I said 2 were killed every day by women. >90% of men identify as heterosexual. Do the math, bro. Women kill men every single day.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 02:14 PM
2

Why are you trying so hard to erase the victims of female partners who die every single day?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 02:06 PM

https://bjs.ojp.gov/female-murder-victims-and-victim-offender-relationship-2021 17970 x .06 = 1078 / 365 = 2.95 So in 2021 there were actually ~3 men "unalived" by intimate partners every day.

I hereby recognize the heightened anxiety that lone women feel when they meet a strange man in the woods at night! Amen! The vast majority of grizzly bears would tear you to shreds if they were hungry.

No, it is to highlight the wariness women feel towards strange men. How does it do that any better than saying "women are wary of strange men in the woods?" What is the point of using a bear to illustrate this point? It also exposed the stupidity of the common retort that "most men" never physically harm women, since most bears never physically harm humans, but if you spotted one while walking alone in the woods, you would attempt to remove yourself from the vicinity and endeavor to avoid such c…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/24 08:45 PM

Oh, so this bear thought experiment that's sweeping the nation is only to say that women are wary of a stranger in the woods at night, something literally everyone feels. That's it? It has nothing to do with the degree of wariness, how it might be comparable to how wary they are of a bear? Only someone who hates women could possibly interpret it that way? What they're really trying to say is that they're merely wary of strangers in the woods at night, huh? "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!" "W…

How many human-human encounters are there every year in the US though? Trillions? I mean what counts as a bear encounter - a person sees a bear? So quadrillions of human-human interactions then? How about this. If suddenly every man turned into a grizzly bear, and you still had to go about your daily routine (somehow the world is still functioning, but nothing preventing the grizzlies from attacking), what is the likelihood you'd make it through a single day? A week?

Maybe it's easier for them to say that than to say they think you're unattractive. I don't put any stock in an OkCupid study. They don't control for variables. I'm also very skeptical of what "average" means. You say you go after average guys. You actually find 1 out of every 2 guys attractive?

There are two studies that came to the same conclusion, the first one that I'm talking about, and a subsequent faulty one you're talking about. Men are more likely to leave women dying of a terminal disease. Now you're misrepresenting the data. The study doesn't say anything about how the divorce happens, just that divorce is more likely when the woman is a patient. It also doesn't control for variables like the work/homemaker dynamic at the time of divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/24 09:51 PM

I honestly don’t know about the DV stats, I’ve never looked into it but that might be an interesting study. I have, and it's not true. The DV they experience is not within their same sex relationships (well some of it is, but not the amount that makes them the most likely to have experienced DV).

I've tried setting him up with a couple of women but they react like they feel guilty about dating someone who is mentally/socially underdeveloped. Probably just using that as an excuse and really they're just not attracted to him. I can see that. According to a report from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), cannabis use, especially in high doses, can cause a short-lived psychotic reaction in people without schizophrenia. As the drug wears off, the symptoms fade. Symptoms such as paranoia, anxiety, or psychosis may be present during the initial stage of intoxication. Impaired coordination and learning and sleep problems are among the effects that can last longer but may not be permanent. Repeated use of cannabis can have cumulat…

Spejcher’s defense revolves around the idea that she was “involuntarily intoxicated,” which in a legal context could mean she was coerced into consuming the drug or didn’t know what she was taking, or that she could not have foreseen the drug could trigger a psychotic episode. Probably that.
/r/MensRights17/03/24 06:28 AM

Prosecutors reduced the charge to involuntary manslaughter after their own expert psychologist agreed with defense experts that Spejcher was suffering from cannabis-induced psychosis when she stabbed O’Melia to death at his Thousand Oaks condominium in 2018. She also stabbed her own dog. And she has scars on her face 4-5 years later from stabbing herself. This is presumably after she got out of the hospital: https://www.vcstar.com/gcdn/media/2018/06/01/Camarillo/Camarillo/636634799071981638-Spej…

My sister is a social worker. She gets paid to do nothing. One day she was actually at the museum with my mom while on the clock (your tax dollars at work). The funny thing is that at her graduation from the school of social work the general vibe was "we know we're not going to make a lot of money but we're not in it for the money." Like 95% of the graduating class were women. Then the guest speaker was a female CEO millionaire and gave a speech on the wage gap. Lol.

In a hundred years men will get blamed for not letting women have southern accents or build houses, even though the country girl is most men's fantasy woman, a unicorn.

Poverty leads to crime? Omg, the poor babes. Maybe we should legalize murder? I don't think I can convict this poor boy for murder. He never had a chance because of the heckin' poverty. Perpetual inability to have a relationship and start a family leads to crime? Lmao, fuck men! DAE men are violent trash? Hopefully they just kill themselves instead.

There’s a reason so many women notice that women who play coy are treated more favorably by men. Because attractive women are more likely to engage in this behavior?

I don't "think" the study is bogus. The study is bogus. And how am I cherry picking data points?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/24 04:47 PM
3

Well the study admitted that they mistakenly counted couples who left the study as divorced, so the whole thing was bogus. But as far as misinterpreting the data, that thing you link says "men leave" whereas the original study never gave a reason for the divorce (considering the divorces didn't even happen).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/24 04:38 PM

Yeah, or like recently someone claimed that men leave their sick wives 6X more often than women leave their sick husbands when the study actually showed that marriages where a woman gets sick have a 6% higher divorce rate than marriages where neither partner gets sick (sick being cancer). The study was bunk anyway, but even if it hadn't been it didn't show what the person thought it showed.

I can't tell who you're saying is victorious in what war. I'm just explaining why "the wall" is a thing for women and not really for men. There are some men who hit the wall, but most men never get enough speed going to make a spectacular crash when they hit it. It also has a lot to do with male psychology.

Sure, but in reality women would fail to see his worth. Women hate short men, balding men, loners, brooding men. They like tall, outgoing, fun, happy-go-lucky men with full heads of hair like Yamcha. It's only when you explicitly tell them "this guy is a main character" that they become interested. Otherwise they don't give a shit about your quest to go SS4. Not all women obviously, but women as a phenomenon.

The difference is young attractive women go from being goddesses to being normal people. Most men just go from being normal people to being uglier/older normal people.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/24 02:58 AM

But you're stipulating that we're not attracted to the person in the OP. You can't specify "you're not attracted to this person" and then say "oh, also this is 80% of women therefore you're not attracted to 80% of women." In reality, the woman you describe might be only 25% of the population of women my age. Also, when men say women aren't attracted to 80% of men they're not including 90 year old men. They're saying that women aren't attracted to 80% of normal, young men.

For me 4/10 is defined as someone I find slightly off-putting aesthetically, so I'd probably pass on the "most loving" and go for a 6 who is still loving, just not the most loving.

Looks and all else being equal, if a woman had to choose between the high-inhib, diffident, introverted, pedantic, unintuitive, passive, socially awkward, and neurotic asshole vs. the outgoing, intuitive, charismatic, socially attuned, perceptive, and playful asshole, who do you think she’s going for? Yeah, I wonder which of these caricatures she's going for...

But nearly everyone prefers fresh food. Everyone prefers music sung by people who can stay in tune. It's not that the 6'2 guy is rap and the 5'6 guy is rock. It's that the 6'2 guy is Tupac and Led Zeppelin is another 6'2 guy. The 5'6 guy is some youtube cover with 26 views or a piece of moldy bread.

You didn't just immediately catch the counter-argument and took it as 100% truth, right? It wasn't a counter argument. They made a coding error that counted couples who dropped out of the study as divorces, which fucked the whole thing. The team that did the original study admitted the error and retracted it.

when researchers at Bowling Green State tried to replicate the study results, they discovered the results were skewed by a mistake in the data, which counted people who left the study as divorces. Not only that but it was 6% more likely to get divorced when women get ill than when there's no illness, not "men leave 6X more." And also it didn't state why the divorces happen. Maybe getting ill makes women question their life choices and they're the ones to leave? In conclusion, you'll have to find…

Have you ever met a man who does everything his wife wants, works, pays all of the bills, taking his chores seriously, is a great father for the kids deeply included in parenting, provides great emotional support, takes everything on his shoulders when wife gets sick, and gives her amazing orgasms every time in bed with no fault ever? Yes, so many of them. The average guy in a relationship is a pussy whipped doormat. Why? Because he's easily replaceable. There's probably guys waiting in the wing…

Single men and women are about equally likely to spend money on frivolous shit. How is that relevant? So you think there was some sort of female conspiracy to wait until all the hard work was over before collectively deciding that now was the time we could go out and party? Not an explicit conspiracy, but yeah. Kind of like a fish growing to the size of its tank.
