We have a very large English speaking population, yes, but a majority can’t use English beyond a work capacity. The people who are on Reddit however are most likely raised with a steady diet of Western television and media growing up and are probably more into the American or British pop culture. These folks could be transplanted in America and they’d integrate right in.
