This challenge has been very hard for me.

8 in one year? Are people not aware of the prevalence of STDs? I am really paranoid about getting a disease or knocking someone up. I don't chase tail and wait until I I know someone well enough to convince them to go get tested (while I'm there) before I sleep with them. Then, I still use a condom because of the possibility of babies. I'm probably weird, but 8 in a year... no, just no.

When dating, I usually break it off if I'm told the number is 7 or higher. I do not sleep with women who have had that many partners (unless they're lying to me about the number of course). I personally find it gross.

Really? I thought having more than 5 or 6 partners was a pretty high number. I don't particularly want to be with someone who's been with more people than that.

Also, her spelling and grammar is beyond atrocious.

You may not think so, but I do.

From wikipedia: "Hitler described the war as "the greatest of all experiences", and was praised by his commanding officers for his bravery.[68] His wartime experience reinforced his German patriotism and he was shocked by Germany's capitulation in November 1918.[69] He was embittered by the collapse of the war effort, and his ideology began to take shape."

" I am not saying self-improvement is bad just but it should be a 'side-effect' of doing things we love to do not the final goal. Our goal should be finding and learning to enjoy things. Learning physics because we enjoy learning how the universe is structured and is predictable. Learning mathematics because we find patterns in nature amazing." I completely agree with this. I don't think self-improvement is a goal at all, however. It's a journey. Not to mention, no matter what one is doing, ther…

Self-improvement is key to the theory here. You improve by pushing yourself, every time you do something you push a little harder. If you have no goal in mind, what are you pushing yourself towards? I agree that life should not be a pilgrimage with the sole purpose of reaching a goal, but a goal is an aiming point. Should a college student abandon their goal of attaining a specific degree because they find some of their classes challenging and they do not enjoy them? Perhaps I'm just not underst…

"Everybody earns their keep." For me, that's the golden sentence here. I hope he got upvotes galore.

I just read your edit. I live in the midwest as well. Most of the people who live in my area are not fun to be around. Self-centered is definitely the perfect word for them.

Well, it needs to be worked on then. If she can be chilled, that is. I highly suggest going through the links that /u/JohnyBoi95 posted, and get into that sidebar. Also, check out /r/redpillwomen. A lot of those ladies will give you hope.

Being assertive is necessary. She is behaving in this manner because you are allowing her to. I think you need to build some confidence in yourself. If you can do all those things yourself, you know you can find someone you'd get along better with, and you're not happy (you don't seem happy, correct me if I'm wrong) then what are you sticking with her for?

I'm lurking a lot less. I'm still absorbing a lot of TRP. There's a lot to read in the sidebar, and I've been reading a lot of old threads as well. This is such a great place.

Holy shit. I do not think this is a healthy relationship in any sense. Her go-to mood is angry and pissy? Why? She has no friends? Doesn't she want any? She sounds mentally unstable. This might sound harsh, but allowing yourself to be treated this way makes me think you don't love yourself, so how the hell can you love her? Read, read, read. Everything in the sidebar. You're going to make your own decision of course, but I would not put up with that kind of behavior at all.

There are some solid minds in this subreddit. I've only been lurking around here for a couple months, but I have learned a lot and I'm starting to be the person I actually want to be now. Stick around, it's fucking therapy just to read TRP.

This was a very well written piece. "Men are not only more likely to be overrepresented at the top of their fields, they are also more likely to be overrepresented at the bottom. Men are more likely to rake in millions of dollars in finance and also much more likely to be in prison. Men are more likely to die on the job, and are more likely to die childless. Women are much less likely to fail than men, even if less likely to excel." I think points such as these are really lost on a lot of people…

Excellent point. No one should ever act in a way that makes their girlfriend/wife ever even consider doing this kind of stuff.

I wouldn't even go for the petty revenge and throw her shit away. I'd say goodbye and kick her ass to the curb. This kind of behavior is totally intolerable and shameful. I cannot comprehend why people put up with this kind of thing.

Two minutes of that was enough for me. 18,000 calories a day? Since I only watched a couple minutes, and don't think I could handle more, does it say why he stays with her? I don't understand why anyone would subject themselves to that...

Well, I'm sure she is getting paid quite well for this. Also, I have a pretty close friend and she watched a couple episodes of this show. She is also overweight. She told me it was awkward for her to watch, and it made her think to herself, "Do I look that horrible naked?" Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I don't know. However, she's overweight because she just had a baby. I hope one day this Lena Dunham realizes how unhealthy this is and that it's not good for other women to believe that b…

What really irritates me most about that quote is the end, "you're going to have to work that out with professionals". What? How about I just change the channel.

. “[It’s] a realistic expression of what it’s like to be alive,” she shot back. “But I totally get it. If you’re not into me, that’s your problem and you’re going to have to work that out with professionals.” I've never seen this show. Flabbiness doesn't even just mean mediocrity though, it means unhealthy. I highly doubt she's doing this for any reason of artistic or realistic expression. It's about money.

That was really well put, and I will agree that it truly is an enigma.

Personally, I think with Richard Ramirez at least, it's attention seeking behavior. Some woman actually married him in prison. Aside from wanting her name in the headlines, I cannot comprehend why she would do such a shameful thing. Flocking to them and throwing themselves at them, as you say, is just baffling. I think it's just terrible.

Not even just Ted Bundy. Richard Ramirez, too. "Others were fooled, too. During Ramirez’s trial, women flocked to the courthouse to see the defendant. Letters poured into the jail. One woman wrote that she dreamed of having sex with him in a coffin. Another woman threatened to complain to the police after she visited him and gave him a nude photo of herself—she was upset because Ramirez shared the photo with other inmates. “He had Playboy models that would write him,” says Shelly." (Shelly is hi…
