They might be waiting for you to pull the trigger and ask them out and eventually give up or they find your timidness about doing it unattractive. The reason I say it is because it lets her know you have the social awareness to recognize the situation rather than someone who's just oblivious to normal social protocol. I'd say I'm slightly paler than average. I do my face, arms, and neck and maybe once a week I do the upper part of my chest (think about the skin that shows with the top couple of buttons undone on a dress shirt). I use medium tone tanner; I'm not going for a super tan look- just trying to get back to even or maybe slightly more than that.

I don't know, I use sunless tanner twice a week and haven't had any problems. Jergens natural glow is pretty good and doesn't look fake at all if you use a modest amount. I don't think it's gay either- I'd have no problem telling a girl I was dating that I use it or even male friends if it ever came up. My roommate knows I use it; it's not a big deal. Worry less about what other people think. If you like the way you look tan, then use the tanning cream. I don't see why anyone would care.

Next time you see her, just tell her you were drunk when you sent the message and that you're really embarrassed about it. She'll probably understand. You can even start a fun conversation with this- most embarrassing thing you've done while drunk.
