Isn't it a bit much to expect a man to be able to teach something to a woman about her interest? She probably knows a lot if it's her personal hobby.

Sorry to break it to you, but intelligence is probably THE most important trait that women look for in a man in general - intelligence meaning being capable in life (work, cooking, cleaning, social skills), having interesting interests, and being knowledgable in a well-rounded way. Intelligence is highly genetic so it makes sense why it's such an attractive trait... If you don't try to at least develop some interests, and especially if you struggle with basic life skills, your future in dating l…

I don't see why I must make it worth it just because I exist. I never consented to be born or to exist in this hellish world. I don't see anything "beautiful" with life and I much rather prefer to be numb than hoping for whatever small scraps of joy one could hope to get in this world. That's more painful actually.

When I talked about if some people can't be loved, I meant that in my understanding of love, it evolved to serve evolutionary purposes, to keep human population healthy and genetically strong, so the better health and genetics someone has the more they're loved, and that this is true for children by their caretakers, romantic partners, friends - all types of relationships. Life is basically a competition between the genetic quality of people. If that's too sad to accept, it's only because humans…

As I said, intelligence is maybe the most desired trait in a partner, so being short, having bad eyesight, or genetic disorders in the family isn't enough to offset that massive quality. Anyway, it seems like we disagree so it might not be worthwhile to keep debating this.

Isn't engineering one of the most challenging things you can study? Surely your husband must have a very high intelligence, far above the norm, which I guess would be quickly noticeable when having a conversation with him. Intelligence is one of, if not the most in demand traits a partner can have afaik, and it's highly genetically determined. In other words, from what little you've told me I'm quite sure that your husband is a rather high status guy when it comes to genetic quality. It's not ha…

I suspect my father (died when I was 11) had traits of NPD, with rages and acting like a fucking child-bully to me, doing his best to destroy any signs of self esteem I had. That P.O.S. can rot in hell. (Not that I believe in hell). My mother some traits too and also aggressive and always seemed VERY ashamed if I wasn't "impressive" enough as a child. Giving me the message further that there's no such thing as self esteem. You must always be the best or else you're a shameful failure.

Someone's downvoting you and it's not me. Do you think that everyone is lovable? I see a lot of cynical, tired men online who say that some people just doesn't seem to be lovable to anyone no matter how hard they try. Do you think such people have some mental health issue that they don't understand or haven't resoved yet or are some people just devoid of charm simply by their nature?

It seems like most people are pretty bad actually. Research in sadism shows it's extremely common among people. Abuse of autistic and intellectually disabled children is also extremely common according to a famous mental health and parenting expert. I think that people are like chimpanzees: we live in a pretty ruthless hierarchy where people's worth vary to basically worthless for no fault of their own. Of course no one wants to admit this because their feelz

I'm 32, but I've never dated or had a relationship because of mental health issues from trauma. I understand it's strange to ask these questions but I haven't socialized much and had mostly bad experiences with people.

I'll try to do that then.

Could you define love? I'm seriously sceptical that it even exists in the way people usually claims.

Or maybe they settle but aren't truly attracted to their partners. It's not hard to imagine that there'd be many incentives besides attraction that drives people to partner up: financial stability, wanting children, societal pressure, etc. Or the theory is exaggerated, or wrong. I'm just here to ask questions, so I appreciate the replies, as long as it stays civil.

I've never dated or had a relationship. I have mental health issues (complex PTSD and avoidant and paranoid personality traits) and have never really socialized. Outside of work I have no idea how people are.

Well afaik men who claim this usually say that it's the ability to have high life competence that is the most important, whatever it is that's done with that competency, and having enough wealth to be a good family provider I guess. So if a woman likes artistic, creative men, in the theory she will be picky and only attracted to the most artistic and skillful men in that world, those with the highest competence.

Afaik those with this view seem to claim that its in womens "nature" and therefore is true of all women regardless how unattractive they are themselves.

Ok, but what about how women are attracted to men? The statement wasn't about self-worth but about what makes women attracted to men.

Just because it makes us insecure and fearful to let others be the judges of our self-worth, it doesn't mean that it's not how our mind and how we socialize works. Can a person really experience themselves as having self-worth no matter how successful they are in life? It's really hard to imagine.

It sounded to me like even if you disagree with RP about the specifics, your underlying perspective seems somewhat similar.

But confidence is determined by your success in life. If someone has some kind of mental or intellectual disability that prevents them from succeeding in life, they can't have confidence and they can't love themselves. That's why the idea that you can love someone beyond all that is ridiculous. People want to feel better, I get that, but it's not helpful in the long run. There's a difference between having standards and hypergamy. Hypergamy means that a person's attractiveness depends on how the…

Sounds like they share a lot of RP's views, though not as extreme. "You're not good enough the way you are. That's true for women, but not for men". Damn lol

I understand, but he still believes in hypergamy, which means that women will always compare her partner's social status to that of other men. I think that what makes hypergamy such a bitter pill to swallow for many men is the basic idea that you're always compared to other men by women and that love therefore doesn't exist, and not the things that create social status. Sounds like Manson thinks women's tastes are at least similar enough that there is a hierarchy among men.
/r/ExRedPill17/07/22 04:00 PM

Manson admits that hypergamy is true, and therefore insinuates that men are competing on a linear hierarchy against each other for women and that not all men can be attractive, unfortunetly. Perhaps the people here should think twice when they recommend his material as "ex-red pill", as I've seen they do.

As a competition between guys, where if you're not successful you should be ashamed of yourself and is less valuable as a person. Also that there's only one way to be as a man to be successful. No one said this clearly but it was read between the lines.

DID is a severe mental illness. I don't much a lot about it but it must be hard to get to know someone with it. Overall society and people treats mentally ill people who struggle with independence as unwantables though. Not saying that to feel sorry for myself, it's just reality.
