I recognise this. Unfortunately the economy today is geared towards two income earners in a family. This was the natural outcome of women being expected to work. Once working mothers became the norm it became economically compulsory for a lot of people. Its a shame.

I can agree with a lot of what you guys say. I think some of it is slightly misguided and lots is due to group think (ie when you're surround yourself with everyone chanting something you will believe it vehemently). In terms of why I married her : Culture and society I guess. Marriage is a pretty weird concept when you view it objectively. Whatever reason I give boils down to "because that's what I felt obliged to do" In terms of why I'm in a relationship with her : I like being around her is the primary reason. She's a good mother too, she's a stay at home mum and my kids are well mothered. She's supportive and yeah - I like being around her most of the time.
