Great click bait; now compare individuals with the same rap sheet.

I guess OP was charged with rape, not getting her pregnant. Otherwise, the case would get thrown out after 9 months. What a horrible way to start life OP; I hope only the best for you moving forward.

I honestly thought this was SOP. I've been out of the management game for 10 years, and was carefully counseled to NEVER have a woman in my office with the door closed.

I got zero. I would have loved to spend time at home taking care of the wife while she took care of the baby, but times were different. I was off making sure we could afford diapers! Abandoning my wife?!? It's like you don't go home at night or spend weekends helping out?

By accepting this narrative, you are making things worse IMHO. Don't be creepy. Don't be aloof. And, please don't be afraid to smile, be friendly, and say "good morning" when appropriate.

What coward (man or woman) would vote for such a law? Do they believe believe this shit, or are they just pandering to feminists?

It is far more difficult to prevent sperm, and much easier to prevent the single egg. I was thinking a miracle pill, but Vasagel seems to be a reasonable alternative. Male birth control will be a seismic shift in power. Of course, there will still be STDs to deal with, but pregnancy is the big one.

Never say never. Going to human trials is not an insignificant step.

Thank you for the explanation! Not as game changing as a pill, but something to consider for your teens. Imagine not having to worry about your kid getting some girl pregnant in high school or college.

There is a "get out of jail free" deck of cards. One is marked "I'm a woman, frail, and helpless", another "I can't be held responsible when I'm on my period", another "postpartum psychosis", get the idea?

Spoiler alert for females that managed to steal a house from their ex! Having a house, even a fully paid off house, doesn't make you happy fulfilled content. You rattle around the empty house miserable and pissed off at how life mistreated you. What a stoopid way to live! And oh by the way ... property taxes, and maintenance are a bitch! LOL

Things changed for me when I realized that schools had little to do with education. I spent a ton of time in the library, and simply taught myself by reading the right books. The curriculum is dumbed down so much, you can get through an entire semester in a week. Spend your "free" time learning at your own pace material that interests you.

Well to be fair, it's more like 50 out of 100, and then they start talking to their divorced girlfriends about the financial benefit of divorce, and feminist therapists, and learn that the courts will almost always side with the wife. Then it becomes 97 out of 100.

Hate that "domestic violence" loophole (but understand why it is there). So all she has to do is file some bogus claim to get full custody? I hope this is not the case. The law stands pretty well without this clause.

You assume that men have asked for a men's only dorm, and been denied? I would get upset if men asked and were turned down when women asked and were accommodated. The university just wants to make money. If enough men come forward to fill a dorm, I suspect they would do it. When at university, I asked for a "quiet floor" and got it.

It's hard not to be hurt especially when you take every care NOT to be offensive, and are only trying to help. The mods are very busy, and often reach for a template that is close to what they want to say, click cut paste, and move on.

It does not take much to get ding'd. Sometimes, it's just a funny comment taken the wrong way. I never try to offend, and yet was ding'd once for "hate speech". Don't worry, it's just a "go to" template for a whole bunch of things the mods find offensive.

You only hear about the "botched" vas procedures... well, because they were botched. The successful ones? Not so much. I had mine done years ago (after four kids). I never got the impression that something was different "down there". My advice is to wear a condom, and hope that men's birth control becomes a reality. We've been hoping for years for a men's pill (at least I have). It finally gives men real choice like women have had for a long time. It will change a lot more things than condom use…

I find it interesting that the ERA is starting to take another run at getting passed. If the ERA passes, I can see it benefiting men more than women in those situations where the needle passed "equal" long ago. For example, women would be forced to register for the draft. I suspect when the ERA was first attempted, it was all about giving women equal opportunity (at least that was the intent). When/If it passes this time, it will be about not discriminating against men :-).
/r/MensRights28/03/21 02:52 AM

I'm not against feminism, since the word has very little meaning anymore. Give me a specific issue, and we can discuss. Don't get angry, get smart about the tax laws. You can put away money in a 401k and NOT pay taxes on it. You can put money away in an HSA (health savings account) and NOT pay taxes on it. These arbitrary distinctions work themselves out over time (sorry if you are one of the people getting screwed while this is happening). Being single, you can make decisions that would NEVER be acceptable to a couple. For example, you could rent a room comfortably, or live in a single room apartment. 1) Have you identified your talent(s) (that thing others struggle with)? Everyone has one or more "gifts". It sounds like you went to college without knowing. 2) What do you like doing, but don't confuse a hobby with a career. It's nice to have a career doing something you enjoy, but it's not always possible. 3) Is your passion in high demand and few have the skillset (hopefully because of the difficulty which you find easy)? The double edged sword of giving kudos at work :-). Put yourself in the shoes of management. They are trying to get as much work as possible from every employee. Some employees need more encouragement than others. Kudos at work are rarely "fair".

It sucks that schools treat girls differently than boys, but boys that make a difference don't depend on academia for an education. Companies that want to make a profit will hire based on skill set, not the gold stars given out for participation. I guess I would argue that we need to take ownership of our education, and not let academia define our success. You will think that many companies will simply give advantage to women based on diversity. There is an opportunity for men to step up and for…

I'll throw this out there for consideration. The phrase "it's all about the cardio" rings true with me. I'm far more concerned with my overall health than my appearance. OK, enough platitudes. My pitch? Buy a bicycle. Get out there, and start putting on the miles. Find someone you can bike with; it's tough to stay on target alone. It is our hope that the infection rate can be slowed to allow hospitals etc to deal with it, but the infection rate will be huge. Assuming 50% of 327 million (USA population). 163 million will be infected. 97% will recover. With a 3% mortality rate, this means 4.89 million deaths. Got your attention yet? Two goals com…

We are much better at identifying things today, but (so far) have no treatment much less a vaccine. Better communications and WFH may help, we will see. Actually, the Master changed genders, and yes from male to female. As much as I would cringe from a female James Bond, I think Dr. Who's selection of an actress to play the role is just one more example of the Dr. Who series trying something completely new. She has some big shoes to fill.

Just in case you thought the alimony tax law change applies to you… It is important to note that alimony judgements through 2018 are grandfathered. In short, the receiving party still has to pay the taxes, and the paying party gets the tax deduction. So, the tax burden DOES NOT CHANGE for those with alimony judgements dated before 2019. After 2019, sorry guys, you get screwed yet again. We can only hope that alimony judgements (i.e. dissomaster) will take into account the tax burden shift.

Sex and alcohol no longer mix (if they ever did). If you are drunk, you can be accused of anything. If she is drunk, consent does not exist.

They’re ready willing and able to testify," attorney Frank Riccio said of his clients. "They are 100 percent invested in seeing this through. When a person lies about being raped, that does a complete disservice to those who have been victimized. What? When a person lies about being raped, that does a complete disservice to those who have been victimized? I suppose he could be talking about the kids whose lives were ruined, but it appears to me he is talking about women who legitimately report r…

Let’s try for “innocent until proven guilty”…

The witch hunt continues. And I thought we learned something from the McCarthy era. Are we ignoring due process now? Where is the presumption of innocence? Is everyone accused instantly found guilty, and asked to resign? If you have a complaint, go to the police… not facebook.

Eagle scout here; the kids just want to have fun… let ‘em. All the fuss about gays in scouts, now girls in scouts. I wish girls were allowed when my daughter could join. The Daisy Fun Badge didn’t really cut it for me, and I’m sure there are lots of girls that enjoy the tough stuff.

I sat in the birthing room when the nurse was pushing to circumcise my grandson. I think the practice barbaric, and said so (I could have been a bit less confrontational in my response). When the nurse brought up Africa, I ended up on the losing side. We think we have made progress over the past few decades, but no, certain superstitions persist. I started earlier with my other male grandchildren, but so far, have not won the argument even after presenting what I thought was convincing evidence.…

You may find the first consult is free; a letter is cheap (relatively). Let the lawyer know you are a student with limited (as in very) funds. I recommend this course because it is doing something, and instead of worrying, you are being proactive about protecting yourself. I also know that lawyers have a way of making people shit themselves when they get a letter using all the “right” words.

I’ve been in your position, and consulted a lawyer asking that very same question. What can I do? He suggested a letter, and I questioned what good it would do, and he explained it to me. Once I saw the letter, I was in agreement… send it. You will be doing something, which is better than doing nothing, and hoping for the best. Just my two cents trying to help in an obviously bad situation. I wish you the best of luck getting through this!

This is not going away by you ignoring it. I know you would prefer it to… just quietly go away, but these things have a way of exploding fast, you you are caught looking for a lawyer. My advice? Seek a lawyer now. They will most likely advise a well worded letter (that may be used in court later). The letter is a simple “cease and desist”. The letter may not “work”. Does not matter. If this goes further, it will help your position in court, and you already have a lawyer lined up. She will think …

You can sue for anything… getting a judgement might be a tad more difficult. Makes for a good headline though. And that “about” could be swapped out for “could”, “should”, “might” … sigh. If female directors made movies that pulled in more money than male directors… …and it’s not because they have not been give an opportunity. You make your pitch for a producer to fund your project just like everyone else.

Very hard movie to watch; I wanted it to be over, and for the truth to come out. Reality is, no matter what, the accused remains convicted. I wanted him to "lawyer up", but then I'm thinking like an American I suppose. Thank you #SomeGuy58439; without this post, I would never have seen this movie.
