Beautiful, first thing I did when I became single was pick up a Ducati S4RS. Can't beat an open road on a bike you love. That's the coolest Harley I've ever seen, nice.

I know you say this is a serious post, but I really hope it's not. Seems you have oneitis, and perhaps have found yourself a chameleon.

The replies in here are why I love being part of this community. A bunch of good dudes with morals and values. I agree with the replies here, don’t be a scumbag it will only end up hurting you in the end. You’ll eventually feel bad about who you’ve become and that will spiral into other areas of your life. I know it sounds lame but it’s true.

I do well for myself but I'm frugal and don't like spending on ungrateful people. The last girl who was really interested in me realized this (the doing well for myself part) and told me how selfish I am and how my money is all for me and what a sad and selfish way to live....can't make this stuff up. She tried to guilt me about saving and investing for a future that only includes me and no kids/wife. I can't even have these conversations anymore, it makes my blood pressure skyrocket.

Right on, I actually had my permit for the PCT this year but had to cancel due to COVID. I was going to go SoBo for more tranquility. I definitely will go in 2021 if they open up again. Whenever I talk to my married friends about what I'm going to do, they scoff, and are almost angry. I understand where the anger is coming from so I don't hold it against them much. I would be angry too if I gave up my freedom to a woman and I was unhappy for it.

Awesome brother, love to hear stuff like this. And agreed on imagination being the limiting factor. I think that post-university a lot of guys lose their imagination once they start the work grind, and don’t see opportunity for any adventure or excitement. They then turn to females and dating. I think it just takes some deep thought to see beyond the barriers and confines of 9-5 drone life, and the abundance of adventures out there to be had.

I used to feel this way, but then I realized there are enough adventures and ways to challenge your soul to last a lifetime on this planet. Go do a thru-hike across America. Ride motorcycles through South America. Climb some insane mountains. Learn to be great at something you’re afraid of. Learn to BASE jump with a wing suit. Take lessons on how to ride a motorcycle on a track, dragging the knee. This is my mentality now, and I feel there is endless challenge and adventure, I just need to go af…

This is sadly the truth, it has proven to be true for me time and time again. I have learned the same lesson enough now.

You say this particular girl. I will say that it’s the same with every girl, in my experience. I’ve learned the same lesson too many times. Now I’m just exhausted and done with it.

This, I have found that nearly all of the major stress in my life stems from women. This includes my own mother.

I agree with this, I used to look for “purpose” and “meaning” but now I just try to do what I enjoy while I’m alive. I sometimes watch the videos on YouTube that zoom out from planet Earth, beyond our galaxy and it puts shit into perspective real quick. We are basically specs of dust on a spec of dust in a sea of specs of dust.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
