I was asking her about why she said she needed to focus heavily on school this week. Apparently that was indicative of my rejection of her.

My intent wasn't to "troll" - I simply wanted to raise awareness of the sentence and spark a discussion on how the death penalty is still practiced on the global stage. My apologies for inciting unsettling feelings.

but it's okay to say someone raped you, risk 30 years of their life, then come out a decade later and say "oops, i misspoke" without facing a consequence severe enough to deter future similar behavior? get real.

well my mac dictionary didn't have the word "dox" so i googled it. i don't really understand why people would post stuff on the internet if they didn't truly believe in it and/or didn't support it. why not put your name behind something you support? this is why i wish i lived in the 19th century. sigh.
/r/MensRights09/09/13 07:23 PM
2

so true. if you're ever in the midwest we should organize a fishing trip if we can't garnish the support for a men's rights meet up haha.
/r/MensRights09/09/13 07:20 PM
1

Thank you. I am not worried about being labeled a misogynist because I am not. But the thing is that the labels that are applied to feminists are celebrated. I am pro-men and pro-equality, not anti-woman.

The first thing I saw "If you’re glad that organized rape is finally being punished as a War Crime, Thank A Feminist!" and cringed. What on earth do people think? Men just sit around and group up and "rape" people based on location/economic status/other random characteristic? Or none at all? Ewwww. Seriously.

good point...
/r/MensRights09/09/13 07:15 PM

wow. i'm glad he didn't cc everybody and say "the men's engineering club will be meeting in..." haha

sad but true. promiscuity makes all men look evil. but i'll call a spade a spade when i see one.

thanks for your reply. I haven't gone salmon fishing yet - I'm just getting started so I've got my friend helping me and i'm lucky if i even catch a few. another friend of mine just went out to wyoming to go fly fishing and he said we'd go out when he got back. but i agree - i love salmon. can't wait to catch my first wild one.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I didn't know that reddit was an anonymity-based forum, but in the other forums I'm in (e.g. hunting, backpacking, etc.) there is a welcome degree of transparency. I apologize if I rubbed you the wrong way, and I'll try to keep to your advice. Thanks for the heads up.

Ireland, is great, but what about here in the United States? There has to be a way we can have a rally, like a "million man march" or something.
/r/MensRights09/09/13 06:55 PM
2

well, all of this mens rights stuff is pretty convincing. there has to be a way we can change the system - courts, discrimination, misandry, etc. if we don't do it, who will? are there any upcoming rallies? any spokespeople? monthly journals? i am reading horror story after horror story and i guess now i know where to make donations too. but is there anything we can do from a grassroots perspective? anything that sticks out?

I agree, you should definitely say something like "first post" or "first entry" b/c "first blog" makes you sound like Al Gore trying to say he invented the internet lol.
