Fuck off! You don't know anything about me. I've had to deal with lawyers from both sides in commercial real-estate disputes, and I've seen what they're capable of. (to the point where I even try to think like a lawyer) I can only imagine what lawyers are like for divorce or domestic disputes. Also if any future son-in-law pulled a "throw your shit out into the street" stunt with any of my daughters, I will NOT be holding any fucking frame when I have a few words with him.

"IT'S A TV SHOW, PEOPLE!!" I find myself having to say this to my wife and daughters when they seem to start taking a TV show too seriously. And I'm saying it to you guys right now too. I've never watched Ramsey (I don't watch much TV actually) so I have no idea if this background info on him is true or not. But don't take anything you see on TV too seriously.

I'll pack your bags and throw them in the street" This is very bad advice. You mentioned in another post further down that she called her parents to "tell on you". This is an actual physical threat, and if her parents or siblings have any legal clues, they could probably legitimately call the police or a lawyer on you (domestic dispute or many other reasons). Now if you actually DID follow through and throw her stuff out on the street, you're done - her lawyer would eat you for breakfast over th…

Aside from the other post with the Bill Burr video, I think this is the second-most worthwhile post in the thread, You summed it up very well.

This should have been the top post with the most upvotes. That video exactly nails what I was talking about in my OP.. Exactly.

Myself, and other dads of girls I've talked with, tend to agree that it's really tricky to do "boy" things with girls like camping and fishing. These things may be a slam-dunk with boys, but not always with girls. Believe it or not, we've also found (this group of dads) that "history" is mostly a boy thing. Girls may get an "A" in history class due to memorization, but few actually like it.

Actually "Frozen" has a bit of the alpha vs beta thing going on with the male characters. I forget the names but the big blonde guy has a DGAF attitude (and Anna seems attracted to him) while the wealthy prince who has to use a ruse to get her is a beta.

Wait, I just stuck that on at the end as a very minor point. I'm more interested in the main point in that wives will tend to flirt if their husbands are beta, bux or not.

She usually comes back with an excuse ("we're both busy, we're not at the same place in life," blah blah blah), at which point I bow out completely I think this is the best strategy - to just not reply or try to help, because almost every answer has a comeback excuse. The real reason is that she is somewhat shy in public, but the reason behind that is probably that she's not motivated enough to overcome her public shyness (she's plenty talkative in private) and instead relies on excuses. (which …

DUMBEST EFFING THING I EVER DID. I lost all respect in her eyes the moment she become my equal. Wait, she didn't shit test you as much when she was making less than you? By how much did it increase once her income matched yours? A little? A lot? I'm always amazed reading through these RP forums at the guys who make a lot of money, but don't have good frame skills, and they get shit tested a lot... ... and meanwhile there's guys who make much less, but because they have the frame skills, can defl…

I could have sworn I saw it in one of the books listed in TRP sidebar. Or go into goog and search on the words "ball busting shit test" and there's a few websites that describe the similarity.

Here's part of a reply from an earlier post of mine Honor codes only work between men. Women don't operate on honor. They operate on value.

Oddly, assertiveness training is about the last thing I'd ever thought anyone would suggest for me, as I'm about one of the most assertive people I know. But when I think about it's mostly around other men. I don't deal with too many women outside of my wife or in my workplace. When I looked it up I found a cliffs version of the book Link It seems more to me like anti-manipulation tactics than assertiveness, which is what I'm looking for. I also agree with the posts by crayonsred and UEMmcgill w…

Big Thanks, although I don't have boys myself, I think the guys here who do should know about that, here's some links related to that book: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2000/05/the-war-against-boys/304659/ http://national.deseretnews.com/article/835/the-war-on-boys-young-men-losing-ground-in-education-emotional-health-and-jobs.html Years ago, one grade-school teacher actually congratulated us on having all girls, and told us if she had her way her class would be all girls. Getting…

That might be it. These moms are definitely "babying" their sons at the school morning drop off.
