Honestly I think even the hosts don't have a great grasp on what being conservative actually is. They understand the examples in current media, but as someone with a history in politics and the psychology of political alignments, I was really unconvinced by their actual arguments. For a starting point as to the core differences of conservatives vs liberals, I'd recommend anyone interested watch this TED talk. Conservatism does tend to increase with age, not because people stop caring about other…

I've self diagnosed late in life (in my 30s) - about to undergo assessment, but I am sure they will dx me as I have found clinical assessments from when I was young saying that I match the symptoms of ADHD but I am not disruptive in class and I can focus on things I like, therefore I must not be ADHD and just have severe attention problems. I also resonate a lot with autistic traits in women, but have not organised an assessment for that yet. It is aggravating. I am so angry that something that …

It's a movie about a woman who gets kidnapped and has 365 to fall in love with her kidnapper. It's basically Stockholm syndrome.

Anecdotal evidence here: I got pregnant accidentally, and did not want an abortion (I already had one and it was awfully traumatic for me so I knewi couldn't do it again). I regret the situation surrounding it but I don't regret my son. He is the best part of my life, and while it is hard he is so amazing that he makes it worth it. I had also come to see that my life wojld be over when I had kids - that me as a person wouldn't exist anymore and I would just be "mum". But that's not the case - he…

I'll look into a juicer, he might enjoy that. Thanks for the suggestion. And thanks for the link with the info. It probably is related to something like that as its worsened significantly in time which is probably due to his gut flora becoming less and less diverse.

Pretty much. It seems to be something psychological rather than physical.

He is the sort to pick through food, hence me wanting to try to make it a bit easier for him to eat a healthier diet. I wouldn't call him a dumbass though, he just has some neuroses about vegetables when he can see them. Currently I do cook meals for myself, and another set for his tastes.

Great ideas, thank you. He does love pie but I've never made one for him, so that's a plan. Shredded vegetables also should work well to put it in the food without him seeing it, as I think it is the visuals that puts him off more so than the taste.

I've been thinking about grabbing one of the spiralizers, probably a really good idea to put some more vegetables in our diet!

Added an edit to explain a bit more: He has expressed to me he wants to eat more vegetables in his diet (he currently suffers from really severe digestion problems linked to his diet), but he finds it incredibly difficult to eat them when he can see them, hence the whole 'tricking' thing, as I don't want him to know they are in there. I'm not trying to secretly put changes on him he doesn't want, I'm just trying to make it easier for him to make changes he wants to make.

It's definitely a hard line between trying to mother him, but also taking care of him. He currently suffers from a lot of health issues which are related to his diet, and while he has expressed to me he wants to eat more vegetables, if I put any in the food with him noticing he will pick the food apart and refuse to eat it. If he had told me upfront that he never wanted to eat vegetables or fruits and to leave him alone, I definitely would! It's that he has told me in the past he wants to change…

Hey. I'm a western woman living in an Asian country and recently married an Asian man. It is hard. I get a fair amount of attention but as other people have said western women are considered sluts and good for a romp only here. We also are seen as unsuitable because women here usually are very girl game oriented. They can cook, clean, take care of their men very well and without complaints. One of the first things my new mother in law did after the wedding was come over and teach me the art of b…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
