If I don't feel a significant mental/emotional/romantic connection, I don't even look at a man as an option because that would not be a very fulfilling partnership. Having a relationship with someone you don't feel a connection with isn't very practical either, because it either isn't going to last, or it isn't going to be functional. The level of determination and the severity of the result for survivors isn't exactly correlated like that, sorry. Men do have impulsivity on their side though, if you want to place value on people completing suicides. Suicidality is usually a short term crisis that passes.
