I agree with you and all, but I'm just going to say you don't have to be condescending. It's not needed.

You can't really assume my state of mind by my arguments. Doctors have told me it helps prevent HPV. Giving a newborn baby a circumcision isn't the same thing as giving an adult one. Studies may be starting to think that babies feel as much pain as adults, but those studies are still inconclusive and need to be looked into further, until then I will continue to believe that they lack the attention span to feel that pain for long periods of time. In other words, you are rationalizing because you …

My actions? My actions being what? Criticizing a movement due to it's lack of structure and it's inability to properly display it's point shouldn't have a negative impact. As far as I know it will either prove that it doesn't, and people will change, or they'll ignore the criticism and continue on in their normal ways. The only negative affect I see it having is pushing away somebody who actually wants to it succeed. I hope this gets bigger, and when it does it's not just a large group of angry …

I understand that people get heated about topics. I think it's a good thing when a person is passionate about their topic, only when they focus that passion properly. There's being vulgar and rude, which is what I'm saying makes the argument laughable. Being aggressive isn't needed. It makes it look like the vulgarity isn't directed at the argument, but the arguer, and that doesn't make you right. It makes you seem like an idiot.

I'm aware of trolls, and I do deal with it. I'm going to deal with it when I can obviously tell that people will take offense to what I'm going to say. You're missing the point, or maybe I just didn't say it very coherently, it's not that the arguments suck, they're rather convincing and I agree with a lot of them, but it's the presentation that sucks. When somebody says things in an aggressive and rude manner their message is lost in the vulgarity of the post.

I do read, yes. A lot of posts I see are often still in speculation. Sometimes things aren't yet decided, and that's often the case when it comes to controversial topics. Also, it's not the evidence that's laughable, it's the way it's presented by authoritarian people like yourself.

I have no problem being criticized. I said this knowing I would be. I was hoping I would be. It's a great way to learn things. Like when you gave me the website about it not being negligible. I learned, admitted I was wrong, and shut up about it. Also, if you're actually trying to convince somebody of something you should care about your argument and it being presentable. It helps.

When I discuss an issue I do some research, if I'm told what I learned is wrong I look again. That's what happened here and that's the way it should be. You're points on feminism being more funded due to it's age are true, but that doesn't change what I'm saying. If you look back at basic feminism than you'd learn, at least in Canada, that those in the 1920's were very civil in the way they presented their arguments. It is hard to ignore a very coherent, civil, and well thought out point. I gues…

I'm not trying to troll, and the circumcision thing is really not that relevant. It could have been any argument but my point would have been the same. People don't take MRAs seriously because they are perceived as people who just yell louder when they aren't listened too. If debates just turn into shouting matches nothing productive will come of it. I think almost all of the point from MRA are very valid, but they're often presented terribly and end up looking childish and stupid.

Maybe if people actually presented their arguments like this, people wouldn't find MRA arguments laughable.

If you're actually a MRA than you should care because it makes your argument look laughable, childish, and stupid. It just gets rid of the merit behind it. This argument also isn't about the circumcision thing, I'm just trying to say that people here are made fun of for the same reason feminists are. The arguments involve too much raw, unfocused, passion and they end up being wasted breath and have the reverse effect.

I guess my doctor isn't almost any doctor. I've asked about it before and was informed that it can help in the prevention of some STIs and penis cancer. I'm not saying it's necessarily right for babies to suffer, I just don't think it is very much of a moral dilemma considering the effect is negligible, at least to me it is. Good talk. You have your views I have mine. Way to be respectful too, uncommon in these parts.

The amount of skin removed is negligible. As far as I'm concerned I'm not missing out on anything by missing that flap of skin in the end of my penis.

Good troll, 10/10. Just don't expect your argument to be taken seriously when you've got the manners of a stupid teenager. All I'm saying.

I'm not trying to compare all MRA's to feminists, just the ones that find it necessary to try to intimidate, change the subject, or just make themselves look stupid with their inability to say anything other than fuck.

Sorry I'm not the best at describing my ideas. Some of the arguments on this subreddit are rather childish, and should be more thought out considering this is a subreddit dedicated to a serious issue. None of the "shaming language" is unintended and should not be considered as shaming. The "shaming language" is the common perception of the perceived average follower, the reasoning behind using the "shaming language". The personal anecdotes are used as information regarding why it is necessary th…

There's no need for them. Have you had an ingrown toenail removed before? You're put on a local and that's the end of it, aside from anything you take before entering the doctors office. I don't see what the big deal about a little bit of pain, that won't be remembered, is. Are you going to argue that we shouldn't give infant booster shots because they're going to have a sore arm? There are plenty of people today that don't get tetnis shots when recommended, so why don't we wait for these kids t…

I don't really care about the circumcision thing either, but I expect better from a community that's this forward thinking. I just expect more civil comments than "you're speaking out of your ass".

According to my family doctor, and family friends in the medical industry, being circumcised reduces the chances for some STIs and penile cancer. I'd rather have a little itty bitty procedure done when I won't remember it if it'll reduce the chances of me having cancer in my dick later in life. But that's just me.

I never said they weren't provided with any pain relieving medications. I stated they were not given anything strong enough to cause major damage. You're pulling a straw man argument, and your statement aimed at my morality has no place when there is a legitimate debate in hand. Babies that are to be circumcised are actually less capable of feeling pain, as their attention span hasn't fully developed and they cannot comprehend the feeling of pain for a long period of time, unlike an adult. I am …

Sorry some people actually have arguments. It has health risks, and is only a minor procedure. When I say minor, I don't mean insignificant I mean that there are no major anesthetics used when doing so, making it less dangerous than getting your tonsils out. It is proven to have benefits, but not everything is 100% gain, so of course you can argue both. Don't belittle other peoples arguments when they're valid, just because you disagree. Isn't that one of the main points of /r/mensrights?

It's not that I think you're wrong for defending yourself, but the fact that you emphasized the "ALL of my physical capabilities". I don't know what the laws regarding self defense are in your country, but in Canada that's what would get you sent to prison.
