Happened to me. He felt very threatened by you. It had nothing to do with your outfit. He knew he could never measure up, so he started to neg you verbally and mentally.

Wow that is so beautiful. I appreciate your compassion and empathy. More people should have this perspective. I'm sure she will remember that.

Because they need us and we can live without them. Constantly putting someone down for anything, any form of shaming is due to insecurity.

so she gave up her life, then he broke up with her and she still pursued him? wow some women really believe life is a disney movie.

Yup. They are projecting on us so much. They know we are right. There is nothing radical about setting standards and not letting men get away with piss-poor behaviour. The ideas we are proposing are empowering women to respect themselves and put self-love above everything. That very notion threatens their endless supply of free sex, free therapy, free emotional labour and free cooks + cleaners. FDS has never been a hate sub.

I agree. A lot of men are in deeply enmeshed relationships with their mothers or sisters. It looks like they are closed, but it's super toxic. Just like a man who isn't there for his mother, a man to deeply involved is also toxic. I had one guy who told me he has such a strong relationship with his siblings and parents. On the outside it looked so healthy, but after a while I realized they had NO boundaries with each other. Everyone was involved in everyone's drama, constantly at each other's ho…

i agree. it's important to always keep your needs first and not become a doormat. this is when they start acting up: when they feel like have you and are predictable. always have a FULL life outside of him. Do NOT make men the center of your life. Make them understand if there is even 1 iota of disrespect, you will leave.

I'm really proud of you sis. You handled that perfectly. He was a total jerk, like most of these OLD guys are. What bothers me if that when confronted with his actions, he tried to make you feel bad and came up with excuses. Would he do this at work? To a valued client? To his boss? So, what about a woman who holds so much value, a potential life partner, potential mother to his children? The problem is that these men on OLD really feel like they have options and do not know how to value women. …

that's why it's super important to put yourself and your needs first. women are socialized to sacrifice. you don't get anything from men by being nice, you get it by demanding that you will not accept anything but good treatment. I used to be there..pouring heart and soul into them. they do not care. they aren't wired or socialized to care. Let's put that love into friends, family, parents, charities, our work, children if you have them and most important ourselves. only give when it's been prov…

ok pick-meishas, let's talk. if a guy doesn't invest you ie if you are worth a chicken nugget(GMO filled, food-like product that's probably horse or synthetic meat), then do not be mad when he doesn't treat you well. if you think you are worth crap, then the world will treat you as such. ok...so next time I hear this argument, I do not want to feel like I have to pull my hair out. 😭😭 think more of yourself.

babe, I literally could be you. I was really conditioned to accept abuse growing up. What helped me: - All toxic people are cut off. I do not even think about. - Remembering anytime I've ever been nice to a man has completely blow up in my face. I'm cordial, not nice. - People who tell you, especially the 'spiritual community' who tell you that you cannot get fucking mad, angry are TOXIC people. Emotions are meant to be felt. Every person's emotions are VALID. Anyone who tells you to be 'positiv…

Empathy: the ability to put yourself in another people's shoes and to feel how they feel. Emotional intelligence: he understands how to read situations, understand my emotions, his emotions and discern about what is going on. Generosity: available with time, efforts and money. NB. to all the scrotes and randoms reading this thinking your getting ideas on how to trick us: THESE QUALITIES CANNOT BE FAKED FOR TOO LONG. YOUR ACTIONS GIVE YOU AWAY EVERYTIME!

wow reading all the comments, I really feel for these women truly. I come from a Muslim African background. My sister was proposed to by an Indian man. The moment he mentioned my sister moving in with his in-laws, it was a resounding HELL NO. Plus, African women from my region are way to stubborn to take abuse. There will be day and night clashing since women here are known not to be docile. And the culture encourages it. I feel for these poor women because the system is set up against them. My …

I don't think people realize the amount of pain and suffering they are causing future generations when they pick poor partners. Like you said, breaking generational curses is the exception because it's so hard, so difficult to literally transform into the embodiment of everything you were taught not to be. Generations of women in my family, whether it was their choice or not, consistently chose poor men, because the culture said you had to be married and had to have kids. This translated into ge…

girl... just the first 10 seconds of that shitty trailer and I had to turn it off. no decent person would argue about whether that film was pedophilia or not. I think that is the trash talking itself out. he told you who he was. it's now up to you to believe it and let him go

Brilliant. My experience with these types is that they often look timid, shy, introverted and kept to themselves. They look harmless, often appearing as fragile. However they are wolf in sheeps clothing. They are MUCH harder to spot, especially for someone like me who has so much experience with cluster b personality disorder. I only let 1 person who I know believe is a sociopath pass beneath my nose. Sympathy, like you said, is how they get you. They want you to believe they are so hard done by…

Yay! Doing a little happy dance for you. Super HVW / Queen energy! Good job. One observation though: I feel like this generation of men who used OLD so rigorously are ALL going to end up alone. I just feel it intuitively. It's nice they feel like they have options now, but men like this always end up alone or in a less desirable situations. Anyway, their loss.

BOOM! That is so great. No matter what people say about FDS, the results are clear. Mental health and self-esteem is better, you feel more empowered, you realize you do have power over how you experience life. I'm glad you blocked his ass. On to bigger and better things.

this women has just failed on so many levels. the karma and generational trauma she has allowed will be passed down for generations and cause more damage than she even knows. I thank God for subs like this. We are helping prevent this type of bullshit from continuing.

no such thing as extreme positivity in this case. hoping for the best and knowing the best is coming to you is queen mentality. I know this sub seems dim at times(just the stories women have to deal with are terrible) but for those who want a relationship, it's absolutely a good thing and hope we will find it.

yes I remember a guy I went out with tried to neg me by showing me a picture of his brothers ex-wife saying 'oh she looks so pretty here and she doesn't wear any makeup'. Then continued by saying he doesn't like women that wear too much makeup, makes them look fake, old etc. I was wearing makeup. At least $200 worth of product incl. perfume. On top of that, he guessed my age like 10 years younger. He assessed me immediately and calculated what he needed to do to 'get me to his level'. Thankfully…

So, he got 48 laws of power from Robert Greene and tried to apply it to dating. I see many guys do this. Scarcity is a mindset, not stupid games you play with women to make yourself seem more valuable. You have to BE valuable to actually be of value. Ugh.

Men lie all the time and about everything. "Nicknames, cuddling you and all that ish" is FREE, that is why they do it. Not because he feels anything. Yes, there are people in this world who can do things and not feel it. Not me. I'm an honest person, too honest to ever go through this type of song and dance with any man. You'll soon get tired of it. You waited 10 months to tell him what you thought because you thought you would lose him. He could sense that you wouldn't leave him. That is exactl…

I'm not sure what FA means babe or if that factors into what you are asking about. The love girls will give you here will be tough. Whether you believe it or not, this was a good thing for him to leave you. People in our lives are a reflection of who we are in some capacity. In your case, he was a reflection of things you need to heal. It's too early to say you can't trust anyone. Believe me, I've been through some of the worst stuff a woman can go through: rape, abuse, and sexual assault. You c…

Women, yet again, being told to humiliate themselves for the sake of a man's fragile ego. Would he have stayed if she was pregnant with another mans child? There is your answer. I wish I could tell her that he will do it again.

The thing with narcs, babe, is that they are incredibly insecure about themselves. They use their 'false self' to function in the world and they need to do everything they can to protect that. Him asking you 'what do you find annoying about me' isn't because he believes there is anything wrong with him. Narcs believe they are perfect. In his tiny mind, he is a legend worthy of worship. It's to further chip away at you once you do mention you hate something about him or to find out what you find …

lol MANY men think because women exist, we owe them emotional labour and sex. He needs to get off his high horse. Honey, I'm betting he doesn't even have the type of money to brag like that and if he does, he is the kind of guy remind you and talk about money all the time. And when he goes broke, you need to be a "good woman" and help out. please move over for the real men who know the value of having a woman in his life.

honestly, this happened to me once. I didn't realize it was happening at the moment. I told the guy I wanted a surprise and I didn't want him to come empty handed. A bit bold, but I don't waste my time anymore with men who can't show me they are about me. So, we met. I realized he brought nothing. I was disappointed and thought maybe he had it in his car(yeah, don't give men excuses ever). We get to the restaurant. Apparently he knows the waitress? He tells me 'I am going to give her a surprise.…

girl me too. My ex was a narc. That shit is exhausting. And then when you come out it, you realize HE was the insecure one and you were BETTER than him. And he knew that. So he had to pull you down to his level. It's been 2 years for me this month too.

Men like this want control!! Control over your mind and your well being. He doesn't care about being appreciated. He wants to see how far you are willing to bend over for him. It's a sick game. The only way to beat it is to not rely on men for any validation. You are happy with or without him. You will have a great day with or without his shitty mood. The key is NEVER argue. I would die before I tell a man how I feel or how he makes me feel. Nope. He should be asking YOU that. He should be wonde…

man..Ive been through some shit, so I learnt my lessons too. so this is what you need to get through the door with me. emotional intelligence and maturity. Empathy is key. (lots of narcissist can fake this). The ability to understand how to process his emotions and deal with others emotions plan for the next 5-10 years. i say this because anyone who i've asked who can't give me an answer has always been bad news. Successful man with purpose who is solid. Boundaries!! Can he respect my boundaries…
