To be completely honest, I've really peaked over the past year. No I was not at puerto plata but it seemed to me like all the all-inclusive resorts were similar. I speak very choppy spanish but it didn't matter as all the girls staying at the resort were American. However, I sometimes would greet with a friendly "hola, como estas?" or "que es tu nombre?".
