Sounds like you're having very fulfilling relationships there.

Yeah, you haven't really made a great case. I asked for peer reviewed papers and you gave me your undocumented opinion.

Have you got any evidence to back this up? Legitimate peer reviewed papers please. When I googled the terms stay at home Dad and testosterone, I found an article that talks about fatherhood lowering testosterone but then concludes that it could be good for their health because high testosterone can lower men's immune system. http://www.livescience.com/16017-fatherhood-lowers-manly-hormone-dad-home.html

I am saying that you are failing to acknowledge that both men and women take a risk when they get married. They are both making sacrifices - the woman is taking the risk that if there is a divorce she will have few job prospects and therefore will be less likely to support herself and her children (if the man decides that he does not want to take equal responsibility, which he could very well do). You obviously don't see this as a big deal for women, but there are many women living below the pov…

That's not what I said. You are saying that women choose to stay at home and have children but then are also saying men don't choose to go to work and be the primary earner. It goes both ways. You cannot sit there and say men assume risk and women don't because women choose to give up their career and potential future earnings but men don't choose to go to work (they are somehow forced, HOW, by gun?). If a women isn't assuming risk because she is making all those choices then the man is in the s…

I guess men have no responsibility in any of the choices they make in marriage though huh.

I can think of a few risks for women. That is of course assuming that men are the primary earner and women are not (which is not always the case - actually I am a married woman who is the primary earner and have a husband who is a stay at home Dad but obviously this is not what we're talking about here today). When a woman decides to marry a man, she often gives up or scales back her career progression in order to have children. She will then spend many years of her life not progressing career w…

This. I am probably going to get downvoted but your movement garner much sympathy when you insist on blaming feminists for everything that is wrong in the world. This boy wasn't circumcised because of feminism, and I think you'll find feminists would be just as angry and saddened by this as you. I know I am.

What makes you call her a feminist? She sounds like just your run of the mill psycho.

This is pretty awful but I am certain that men who commit acts of domestic violence have also walked with no jail time. Chris Browns comes to mind. There are some double standards but I'd be interested in seeing some statistics (are there any?) on whether women are less likely to be jailed or charged for acts of domestic violence than men.

Just been reading through this subreddit and thought I'd comment here. The reason alimony exists is because some women (and I guess men) and their husbands come to an agreement where one stays home and the other goes to work. As a result, by the end of a marriage, the person staying at home has given up an opportunity to develop their career and their earning power is pretty much zilch. If one spouse asks their other spouse to stay at home and give up their potential to develop their career mayb…

Do men not also rip on each other for the same reason? I guess it seems to me more like a thing that society believes (put pressure on men or shame men if they aren't getting laid) - rather than something that women believe specifically.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
