Sorry, how is this biased against women? Edit - he done fixed it

If I was in this situation, I would shout "help". It doesn't matter if people still ignore me. It shows that I am very clearly the victim. And those people will remember my screams and hopefully feel bad about themselves, and start to question how they think about equality.

It's fucking disgusting. If a man stabs a woman during sex, it would be something like "He was a drug-addled maniac, fueled by his addiction. He stabbed an innocent women while taking advantage of her" Flip the genders, and somehow substance abuse is a defense?

Identity parades are actually much less useful than you might think. I was mugged once. The guy that mugged me had a really distinctive look. Gingerish, pale, quite tall, tattoo. Bear in mind I spoke to this mugger for several minutes (managed to convince him to let me keep my sim card from my phone and my iPod...), but when they put me in front of a computer screen and showed me about 5 faces, I had no fucking clue which one was the right guy. They said "don't worry about it" and, in the end, s…

I'm not surprised. Dates are silly. Breaking the ice over an expensive dinner? Waste of money if it goes badly. And, come to think of it, waste of money if it goes well - you could have had the same conversation over coffee. It's just a way to learn things that you shouldn't need to know but don't want to ask: What kind of restaurant can he afford? How nice will she dress? How far will I get if I pay for dinner? Etc.

Yeah the whole courtship ritual just doesn't exist (not nearly to the same extent, anyway). People obviously still go on dates but it's usually not until they know each other better.

I think he's just really bad on dates. It's probably a cultural thing. I'm from England too, and the concept of "dating" is essentially non-existent. I honestly used to think that the idea of "meet girl, ask her out, go to dinner" was something that just happened on TV. The process is usually more like "meet girl, become attracted, ask to be girlfriend". Dates may happen in between step 2 and 3, but there isn't really this "courtship" culture that seems so prominent in the US. The phrase "we are…

Women are attracted to status and providers. Please don't generalize like this. Perhaps it is true that American women are more likely to consider socioeconomic status when considering a partner than British women, but it certainly is not always the case, even in the US.

It's not just about a cure, it's the fact that she thinks there is a link between autism and the MMR jab. The link was proposed by Dr Andrew Wakefield, whose methods were sketchy at best (he bribed children at a birthday party in exchange for blood samples). Wakefield's results have since been completely debunked by the medical community as "dishonest", "misleading" and "irresponsible". From the wikipedia page on the MMR vaccine: Before publication of Wakefield's findings, the inoculation rate f…

I think Bruce's point was that 18 is the age of consent in America (and the majority of countries, if not younger). There would be much more of a fuss over a 17-year-old than an 18-year-old.

Speaking of charity runs, only women are allowed to run the Race for Life. It's disgusting. My friend wasn't allowed to participate to raise money to fight the disease that killed his mother. Also, the irony on the "About Us" page: I race for life for Anyone & Everyone touched by cancer Right next to the sign that says Race for Life is the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event. ಠ_ಠ

Your first part there is irrelevant. If the officer had said "this person should be arrested", you wouldn't feel any different.
/r/MensRights13/11/12 10:13 AM

Yes it is No, it's not. Gender is not once mentioned. At no point does anyone even say "this man should have helped this women". It is not even slightly implied that the reason people are disgusted is because he is a man. The worst thing about this crusade is that if the genders were reversed, the /r/mensrights title would be "Innocent man's sons die because woman is scared to let him in the house".

I actually agree with the troll. This is not a case of gender inequality. This is a case of one human ignoring another human's cries for help, leading to the death of two children. /r/MensRights is so wrong today. It disgusts me that so many comments in this thread are accusing the mother of lying. Her two kids died for god's sake. I understand he was scared, but firstly, this has nothing to do with men's rights (the topic is raised at no point in the video), and secondly, this is no excuse to w…

This is good. I find in a friendly situation, getting angry or taking big steps just alienates you from the group and actually worsens your cause. Personally, I'd go for the guilt method. From the UK here. Unlike in America, we say Asian, we are rarely talking about people who are Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc. We generally use 'Asian' as a more politically-correct term for Muslims who are from countries such as Pakistan. So this "laws" discussion takes on a very different meaning when you think that this is a community full of Muslims, rather than a community full of East Asians.

You just proved my point. In that context, do the comics reflect badly on the husband or on the wife? Certainly not the wife. Therefore the comic is anti-male. Therefore the original comic is anti-female.

Hormones can get you going and make you do things you wouldn't normally do, this is true. But not to the point of sitting in your car and driving. People have enough self control to be able to stop themselves somewhere between "Holy shit get me away from the guns" and "fuck it, Imma drive home".

I don't even get why you are talking about this. This is a conversation about breast cancer. Why are you bringing circumcision into it? Although this sounds like a fantastic idea, if all men suddenly decided to stop working and raise their children rather than get a career, women would complain that their husbands don't support them. In fact, IIRC, there was an article that got linked on this subreddit talking about how a vast majority of women cannot stand earning more than their male partners, believing that if a man cannot earn more than them, the man is a failure... And then they complain about wage inequality...

Also, this makes me so furious for a different reason. My girlfriend is small and cute so when she shouts, I sometimes laugh and hug her and saw "aww". It makes her angrier. 9 times out of 10, if you don't take a girl seriously when she is angry, she will go from "you didn't text me back" angry to "my rage burns like the wrath of a million suns".

The downvotes are for assuming that behind every scumbag dad is a bitch mum. I know that this is r/mensrights, and I know that many men are screwed over by the system when it comes to custody, but from your comment you are basically saying that it is never a dad's fault and that only women have ever caused problems to their children.
