According to thermodynamics there is no difference between drinking sugar water and eating a healthy diet either, so long as the calories are the same. The benefits of fasting are well documented, and I would encourage you to look into it. This is biology, not physics.

The most considerate thing you could do for your roommate here is to sit him down for a quick chat about how things are going. As far as the gym is concerned, you won't be able to make him work out, if someone has it in them to lift they will lift. I would not waste my time trying to motivate him in that regard unless it is just a matter of him coming with you to the gym. The food and cleaning thing is a real problem, because if this continues you will not be able to stand him and anything he do…

Alright, I will tell you what happened to me in the hopes that it might help you somehow. I am writing this because I had some of the same problems as you, but it was an issue that I was having that a therapist would not have been able to help me with. I was very mentally healthy until I was around the age of 22, after which I started to develop the same problems you are describing. It started to occur at a very stressful time in my life (I was working as an EMT in a very toxic work environment)…

This happened to me in my early twenties, and will share my experience with you because I know that it can be a very difficult thing to go through. Incoming wall of text - I will try to use a lot of paragraphs. First, I would like to suggest that it probably isn't your size. I am 6'4, and this exact same thing happened to me (I am generally quiet however, so it may stem from that, but I doubt that is the case either). When I was about 19 I started to notice that my friends were giving me less an…

I think that this is the most balanced advice that could be given here. At the end of the day she has to take care of her own self interests, but at the same time there are areas of self-improvement that could really change things from how they are now. My Alt key is busted, otherwise I would give this a point.

I have no clue on the number, but I do know that you have to be dipping into the subcutaneous fat stores for that to be true, and people can have a LOT of visceral fat to get through before they are doing that. I think that 30 lbs/inch could happen once you are there though.

As your lose weight your penis will "grow", I have heard it called, and recommend googling "buried penis syndrome". You are making serious progress on your weight - What you should take from that is you have been able to do something most people have tried to do and have failed miserably at. Try to focus on the strength that it took to do that, and apply it to other areas of your life. As you lose weight you can trick yourself into thinking that your body isn't changing, but it is. Visceral fat …

Thank you for the response, I didn't find your examples far-fetched at all and am going to have to put some serious thought into what you have revealed to me here. My initial reaction to what you have said is that by denying people when they are offering help is that you are often denying an offer by them to build rapport, or even worse not valuing what they are bringing to the table. I do think that there is probably a huge difference between accepting help and asking for it, but the line could…

This personally confounds me a little bit as I was raised to believe that accepting help unless you really need it is impolite, and also because I probably have too much pride which I do realize is a character flaw (I am offering this as a source of my confusion). I have always turned away help, but have also not offered mine freely because people sometimes seem to resent it. Is accepting help generally a Red Pill thing to do? I was about to start a thread asking this very question, but thought …

Where did you get that statistic? 95 percent is much higher than other statistics I have seen (some are 50/50). Appreciate what you are saying though.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
