I feel like OP is very calculated and like someone else said it seems kinda intense to me personally. I get that men have urges and need sex. But I feel it plays women in a way. The truth is that a lot of women want LTRs but many may just not be honest about it. I’m pretty intuitive about men and if I can feel they are being sneaky or hooking up with multiple women it feels of leg putting and it may make you not marriage material. I know it sounds crazy but many things like a persons behavior ev…

Ageism exists in the workplace too. I feel the older you are the harder it is to get a job. Also, many jobs these days pay shit and don't fully cover your costs. Starting a family and dating and creating familial ties I would argue are a tale as old as time and provide certain benefits and security that the markets don't, At the end of a long week your coworkers aren't gonna be there for you like your children, husband, and friends are. There's also a lot of drama and stress people undergo in th…

The same could be said for men's interest in women. We ALL have types.

I’ve been sitting on this and I think the reason it’s freeing is because you have money to do what you want with. Rather than being tied to another human who may be treating you badly. A lot of workplaces treat you badly too though. Idk it’s all so confusing. But I like the general feeling of what you said - since when did kinwork become looked so down upon?

Yep exActly!! So well said and you echo my thoughts exactly. Tbh I would LOVE to be a stay at home home. I would love to spoil a man, cook a ton and clean. Being a mom is seriously a full time job in and of itself. But somehow that’s no longer “ok.” It seems that society expects women to work always. I do think as a women it’s nice to have freedom financially. You never want to be left in a dire situation where you are stuck in an abusive situation or you are homeless in an older age with no car…

I am 28 and already feel like dating is harder. Women age out of their prime and it’s harder to date. Everyone is more attractive in their youth. It’s biology and you can’t deny that. Women are waiting until the last second these days to get married and have kids. This is all a new thing I believe for society. In the past women got married and had kids much younger. Personally, I think it gets harder the older you get to pull everything together. I wish that family life and motherhood was more r…

That’s great - as long as you are happy that’s all that matters!

I agree about the choice. I think feminism has given women choice. Which is huge. How old are you? I’m just curious. I could see my life going similar to yours. I think I would like a husband though. Maybe a kid. I think life can sometimes be less stressful with a partner to share the load and responsibilities. It gets lonely being alone and living alone. The older I get the harder it becomes to date.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I think feminism has confused both genders on how things can be. I think that women need some structure to their lives and without any a lot of people are lost.

Modern feminism and birth control have both had impacts on our society at large and you can’t deny in some ways they have left major chaos in their wake. There is a lot of grey area - but you can argue it either way. The older I get the more I realize how hard it is to be a women working full time, dating and also being a mother. I don’t think you can do it all. Everyone is becoming atomized and super independent but power truly lies in interdependence. As Camille Paglia said women are delaying …

Yeah… make them work a little hard for it but then give it to them. Also weeds out the guys who aren’t that serious right away.

I think men like the chase. People don’t like things that come easy to them. I don’t necessarily think men like women who desire them. It seems we all want what we can’t have…. I’d actually have to say that at least at first men want what they can’t have. They want women who don’t desire them!

Yes I agree. I think it’s the truth.

They say this a lot on the red scare podcast. But essentially men watch women and get off on that. Women see themselves in men’s eyes and get aroused. It’s true as a woman I can vouch for this. I mostly think of myself as sexy in men’s eyes and that’s what gets me off. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is somewhat of a universal truth

Men watch, women watch themselves being watched.

Our society is so fucked haha. So much to say here. Both genders are screwed. Birth rates are taking all over the world. People just aren’t procreating like we used to. Online dating has totally fucked everyone up. It took a therapists intervention to make me realize these dating apps were making me depressed and lose hope in myself and men. I’ve since been able to steer my ship around but it hadn’t been Easy. Life was so much better before social media and dating apps. I truly think that everyo…

Damn you have women in your DMs? Are you some sort of celebrity or athlete or something? I’m genuinely curious . I have a feeling it may be more the online thing. Online dating really changed modern dating as we know it. I think many people are affected by it in ways they don’t even know. I was very much in this place for a while and it fucked me up. Many of the guys I met on dating apps weren’t a good fit for me. They were rude, condescending, and I had no similar interests. It wasn’t until rec…

I truly feel like both genders are mad and aren’t getting what they want from each other in current civilization. That’s what I am seeing from Reddit on both sides. Lots of misunderstandings and high expectations that are getting harder to meet in a post capitalist society.

Yeah I think our modern world fails to realize that one of our species biologically carries our species and gives birth.

Yep exactly. This sounds mean but I know a girl who landed the best dude. This girl is not attractive at all. She also wasn’t the best friend and just seemed like a shitty person. The only reason she landed such a good dude was because she has such high standards and the confidence to believe she can get such a guy. She just never settled and even told me once “why are you hanging with this trashy dude?” Oh life…

Seriously! 🙌🏼 I recently dumped a guy I was dating. Sort of a Covid fling but this guy had the worst hygiene. So gross! He didn’t even have hand soap in his bathroom. He smelled horrible. Ordered takeout every meal. Followed a bunch of IG thots and pornhuh was his top website. Honestly sad and I stayed around with him for too long out of sympathy. But it feels so good to be hasta la vista!
