| 1 | What I realized from being a stepfather.Sadly stereotypes exist for a reason. Most of the stepfathers I've met have been monsters, including mine. Since I was 7 (when he married my mom) he used to lock me up in a closet without food or water for 24 to 48 hours because I wasnt devote enough (he was a baptist pastor) and used to beat me up so badly I still have related health issues as an adult.
