There's a story about a guy who faked mental illness to get a better sentence in England. He got sent to the most secure mental hospital in the country. Turns out faking mental illness is a symptom of psychopathy and he ended up getting diagnosed with that and kept in there after they re-assessed him once they found out he was lying. Can't remember what youtube vid the guy telling the story was on tho :/

I think she should have gone to jail. What we can both agree on, however, is that she should at the very least have to do 70k of work. And that doesn't mean work for 6-8 years full time in a minimum wage job - that means make the local authority 70k... that could be as little as a year of work. Sitting behind a desk at a swimming pool for a day could make as much as 2 grand in admission prices...

yeh thats the flaw in it. the idea of affirming consent is so muddy e.g. situations like you described. in my experience its pretty much always been an unspoken agreement. but my point is at that they recognise that it's a problem for both sexes, however small the problem may be.

Posters on the University of Dundee's campus. Clearly the student association understand that sexual misconduct is a two way street and are to be commended considering many other universities are content with immediately jumping to conclusions. By your logic - or what logic I can garner from a smartarse one liner (if that) with a hyperlink accompaniment - I could claim the sentence "I like cakes" now means "I like bricks" because the original meaning of the word "cake" is now irrelevant and also means "brick".
