I agree.

I've seen this more on social media, like Reddit. Most people in real life don't care. Don't try to befriend women with the intent of eventually dating them that's predatory I don't think it's predatory, but I think it's important to ask them out early. Don't approach women because we feel like meat if you approach based off looks Some women don't like to be approached by men in general.

My self and identity would remain the same because it formed when I was under 3. If someone treated me like a subhuman, I would think they are shitty. Not everyone treats me like a subhuman, I won't be alone.

They want people’s love to stroke their ego, but they dont want to be expected to give that love back. As a man, I agree with you. On the NPD sub, someone asked if i*cels are narcissistic. Narcissists do rely on others for validation.

My BMI is 19. I wouldn't date anyone with a BMI of 29. Besides that, I don't mind dating someone who has those other traits.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/24 11:56 PM

I don't think any man would be rejected by 100% of women. Although, a man can decide to give up on dating.

Conservatives think men are struggling today because women aren't traditional or feminine anymore. Yes, this is true. So in order for a man to be a male feminist, he needs to be some level of benevolent sexist. I'm sorry that's the only way it works. I identify as a feminist. Maybe egalitarian is a better label. Egalitarian can mean "feminist + MRA." I took this Sexism Test and scored a 0 on hostile and benevolent sexism. I don't entirely agree with feminists or MRAs though. I agree with you abo…

In psychology, there is a theory called object relations. Objects can be other people or inanimate objects. I think it explains a lot of things about our minds. Feminists have contradictory views about objectification. Some feminists believe sex work is empowering for women. Some feminists believe all objectification is bad. Do you think some men crave to be objectified the way that women are, or are they just confused about the sexual attention that women receive? Yes, some men crave to be obje…

Where they say men should interact with women because it's healthy masculinity and they can finally view women as people. I don't buy into this idea that most men don't view women as people. I really wanted to be friends with one woman. We went out for coffee in several times. I only liked her as a platonic friend. I only loved her as a friend. She didn't wanna be my friend. She ghosted me eventually. Now, there are guys who become friends with women, to get laid. I don't respect those guys. Why…

Feminism is supposed to be against benevolent sexism.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/09/24 03:15 PM

I believe men and women should have equal rights.

I would invite you to try discuss male issues in a feminist space and see what happens. I don't go to feminist spaces much. I don't like misandry. However, feminism is at best ambivalent (and sometimes directly opposed) to equality in instances of female privilege/male discrimination. I agree, but it shouldn't be like that. I don't see any conflict between being egalitarian and feminist.

I know many feminists are misandrists. There are good feminists too.

I care about women's issues and rights. Therefore, I am a feminist. It doesn't matter if other feminist dislike what I say. They can't gatekeep who is a feminist. Everyone is a feminist because everyone cares about women.

I identify as an egalitarian feminist. I think it's weird that some male feminists are ashamed of being men.

Some men who avoid women, like MGTOW, are misogynistic. Not all MGTOWs are. I've seen misogynistic comments throughout the manosphere. Yes, people expect men to interact with women. I don't know if they are considered misogynistic only for that. Anything can be labeled as misogynistic.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates26/09/24 01:58 PM

I've never heard of this. I always hear people say, if you like a girl, talk to her. No one cares if you avoid women. Maybe in some feminist spaces, this is happening?

Christina doesn't believe in patriarchy or women's oppression. The younger generation of feminists have been brainwashed by bullshit. I'm a millennial. I think politically it's better to identify as a feminist than a MRA or antifeminist.

I don't think you have to believe in patriarchy to be a feminist. I identify as a feminist who doesn't believe women are oppressed. You can also identify as a MRA if you want.

Yeah, anyone who says looks don't matter is lying. I once messaged an escort, and she asked for my picture. No, I don't use escorts. Some will care about your looks, even if it's transactional.

Inevitably someone will bring up "isn't it considered creepy to join a group just to meet women?" I think it's best to do things for yourself, regardless of whether it gets you laid or not. It's not creepy to join a group to meet women. Feminist: WHAT?! No!! Are you some creep that can't be friends with a woman? I have male friends who fulfill my emotional needs. I am open to female friends, but I don't need them. I've had short term female friends, but the friendship didn't last. Maybe they wan…

The concept of "game" isn't really a thing that exists. I've heard women already know if they want to sleep with a guy in the first few minutes of meeting. I'm not saying it's based on looks. However, I think there is such a thing as being good at flirting. Some men are worse at flirting than others. "Game" is not some kind of magical thing where a guy convinces a woman. I also think it's funny how people assume a guy is scared of rejection, if he refuses to approach a woman. I've never been sca…

Yes, but this definition excludes the most common type of female-on-male rape, sometimes referred to as "made to penetrate" or "forced envelopment/penetration." That would be difficult to prove in court. I do believe rape laws should be gender neutral.

Remember that your presence can be threatening to women walking alone at night It's possible, but I haven't met any women who were scared of me. Men attack other men more often. So many spaces in my life are dominated by women, who consistently box me out of social settings, because they view straight men as threatening, have no interest in including men in any of their social circles, and mainly just lack empathy. That is false. I've seen a lot of attractive guys. They don't get approached. Attractive guys can approach women without being labeled creepy. Women are scared to approach men because they don't like rejection or fear getting assaulted. They will signal their interest to attractive men.

Men are not taught to be independent? I didn't know this. I've been single all of my life. I would never say I don't need a woman. I think having an emotional connection with someone is important. It doesn't always have to be a romantic relationship. I think it's weird that some people think they cannot live without a relationship. I think sex is a need, but it's at the level of "love and belonging", not food and shelter in Maslow's hierarchy. I would say I am fairly independent because I can co…

'innate and biological' or culturally instilled We all have a libido biologically. Culture influences it too. where male loneliness and the incel 'movement' The western cultural belief is that if you aren't having sex, there is something wrong with you. it's entirely possible that below-average men have zero women who love them, aside from their mother and grandmother. So that doesn't really help. 60 - 70% of young men are single. If they're below average, sex would be difficult to get. They might get it from below average women. I've had two girlfriends (not at the same time) who really loved me. And then I cried in front of them. And then they immediately stopped loving me and dumped me soon after. In other words, women care about men they lo…

As a virgin myself, I have no sympathy for most incels. I think they make all virgins look bad. According to Professor Sam Vaknin, most incels are covert narcissists. He said that in this video, around the 1:09:00 mark. Based on social media comments, I think he's right. I knew one incel. He was disabled from a car accident. He was one of the nicest guys I've met. However, most incels on social media are just trying to get sympathy and attention (narcissistic supply). Most incels don't want sex.…
/r/MensRights05/03/24 04:31 AM

I've talked to actual incels back before their sub got shut down. Those are fake incels. They complain about women's standards being too high.
/r/MensRights29/02/24 05:04 PM
4

Incel has a meaning. People on Reddit don't know what an actual incel is.
/r/MensRights29/02/24 04:12 PM
5

I agree with you about white supremacy, but not patriarchy or class inequality. Patriarchy doesn't exist because no one is preventing women from attaining power. I don't think there's anything wrong with class differences. It's all about perception. Feminists think there's a lot of discrimination against women. MRAs think there's discrimination against men. I'm not a feminist or an MRA.
/r/MensRights28/02/24 08:56 PM
13

I think society is more egalitarian than in the past. It's also leaning towards gynocentricism. Women are definitely more favored in some aspects. Feminists keep lying by saying there is a patriarchy in modern times. In the past, women were treated badly.
/r/MensRights28/02/24 05:43 PM
1

It is a mindset. Some poor men believe they cannot attract a partner. Maybe they can. Some ugly believe they cannot attract a partner. Maybe they can. People who identify as incels don't try. They just assume that they can't get anyone.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/02/24 05:41 PM

The feminist definition of patriarchy is: A system in which men hold power and women are excluded from it. There is zero evidence for it.
/r/MensRights28/02/24 05:26 PM
19

What is the evidence of a patriarchy?
/r/MensRights28/02/24 05:15 PM

Poor, ugly, and anxious can still attract partners. You can have bad traits and attract partners. A real incel is someone that has a lot of negative traits which they didn't choose. However, that is pretty rare.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/02/24 05:00 PM

Real incels are people who actually have involuntary reasons that cause them to be celibate. Most people who identify as incels don't. They are lying.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/02/24 04:14 PM
1

Yes, I wouldn't consider that person to be involuntarily celibate at all. Being involuntarily celibate is not objective for most who identify as incels. The only real incels have physical disabilities.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/02/24 03:56 PM
1

No, I think you're wrong. The difference between involuntary celibate and voluntarily celibate is this: Voluntarily celibate: I can attract a partner someday. Involuntary celibate: I can never attract a partner because of xyz traits. It is just a mindset.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/02/24 02:53 PM

That study indeed shows no gender differences but it doesn't seem to control for which gender initiates divorce. Women initiate divorce more often. Yes, because the study is only about the likelihood of divorce. There are studies about pair bonding. It is also much easier for women to find a partner which I believe makes them a much higher flight risk, particularly if they had a multitude of partners previously. Maybe people who have more partners might get bored more easily.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/02/24 05:19 PM

Many Reddit subs think pair bonding science is "slut shaming." Although I think pair bonding applies to men as well. Men who have lots of partners may also have trouble pair bonding.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/02/24 01:52 PM

There is a study about premarital sex and divorce. I don't know if that means they weren't able to pair bond. There are studies which say men in relationships have lower testosterone.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/02/24 12:40 AM
1

I think hypergamy is based in ego, not sexual attraction. I read a comment by a woman who said her parents want her to marry someone who earns $300K. She earned $150K/year. I think hypergamy is dictated by society's expectations of who women should marry. On superficial platforms, like dating sites, a man's income is important. My coworker has a girlfriend who earns more than him. A high income doesn't say much about a man's character.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/02/24 12:26 AM

We have to know someone's background to know if they're an incel or not. People on social media misuse the term and use it as an insult against anyone they disagree with. In a nutshell, an incel has to have problems that are out of their control and prevent them from finding a sexual partner. An example, is severe autism or physical disabilities. then uppercase I Incels (the hateful types) According to Professor Vaknin, many incels are covert narcissists. /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/01/24 12:17 AM

The hate is mostly online. I don't think all men who have trouble attracting women are incels. Yes, incel is an acronym for involuntary celibate. I think one has to have more toxic traits to be an incel.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/01/24 01:23 AM

Most incels won't kill anyone, but they are pretty toxic. I make a distinction between real incels and fake incels. Real incels are disabled. When most people think incels, they are the fake ones.

If I, as man, am supposed to respect the personal boundaries of the opposite sex then they better damn well respect my own. Yes, I agree.

I mentioned the left because this is a left wing sub.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/01/24 03:40 PM

Feminists are a cult.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates31/12/23 03:41 PM

The term was coined by a woman. People use it against someone they perceive to be a misogynist.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/12/23 10:58 PM

It's a gender neutral word. It's misdirected at good men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/12/23 09:56 PM

Men use incel as insult too. It is just an insult now.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/12/23 04:29 PM

So is Reddit, except for a few subs.

Unfortunately, I can't relate to feminists or MRAs anymore.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/12/23 12:04 AM

Personally, I don't think incel should be used as an insult against anyone. Most incels are covert narcissists, but people who use that word are misandrists. Men should avoid them and let them die alone.

Sounds like you have body dysmorphia. Incel is a self identifier.

I read that. I am using the word correctly.
/r/MensRights12/12/23 06:33 PM

I don't think "incel" should be used as an insult. Incel should be a self-identifier without any stigma. There are all kinds of people who are incels. One of them is Kidology. She's a beautiful woman on YouTube. She's also a feminist.
/r/MensRights11/12/23 04:38 AM
-5

Yeah feminists misuse the word.
/r/MensRights11/12/23 02:52 AM

I'm not a feminist. Incel means misogynist who feels entitled to sex. Previously, it meant involuntary celibate.
/r/MensRights11/12/23 12:56 AM

Nope. Incel is not virgin shaming.
/r/MensRights10/12/23 11:52 PM

“men cry all day about not getting sex” She is wrong about this.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/12/23 04:31 AM

It's because feminism says men oppress women. So they can't have empathy for us.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/12/23 11:37 PM
1

Finally if a man can get sex but not a relationship then he is technically not an incel. Yes, I agree with this. An incel means involuntarily celibate which means they cannot get sex. Each dictionary uses a different meaning for celibate.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/12/23 02:30 PM
3

I think you're the one who doesn't know much about incels. If you go to the virgin and foreveralone subs, you can read their posts and comments. Sex is very easy to get. They want relationships.

The link doesn't work for me.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/12/23 12:44 AM

We know what misogyny is. Feminists have misused that word a lot, though. I agree with most of what you said.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/12/23 05:43 PM

Yes, women don't mind sharing high value men. I think there have always been incels but they were hidden in the past. There were also fewer of them.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/12/23 04:39 PM

I think most women do like men just as much.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/12/23 04:36 PM
6

I know guys who are homeless and get laid with models. Yes, you can have one night stands for free. Very few women will date a homeless guy. any man get laid including incels. They wouldn't be incels then. Incels want relationships, not just sex.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/12/23 04:34 PM

I think you might be correct.

Yes, incel has changed meaning in modern times.
/r/MensRights28/11/23 02:10 PM

Without knowing someone, it's stupid to call them an "incel." We live in a misandrist world, so it's normalized.
/r/MensRights28/11/23 02:00 AM
-3

When the researcher claims men are under/overestimating what women want in a partner, what is meant by "partner"? It was for relationships. I read this study. what women claim to want when being surveyed; I don't think women would lie on surveys because they are anonymous. In person, people would lie more.
/r/MensRights28/11/23 01:55 AM

According to Professor Vaknin, most incels are covert narcissists. He says that in this video, at 1 hour 9 minutes. I don't know how true that is. I think some of them are like Elliot Rodger. It's hard to know without them being diagnosed. I've heard all kinds of opinions about incels. I don't know who is correct.
/r/MensRights28/11/23 01:48 AM

Those are the types of incels that OP's study about. I've read William Costello's papers. They don't want society to collapse.
/r/MensRights28/11/23 01:24 AM
4

Incel is a silly insult.
/r/MensRights28/11/23 01:11 AM

Yes, there are men here who have trouble attracting women. That doesn't make them incels though.
/r/MensRights28/11/23 01:01 AM

Yes, it's because they only see negative behaviors of incels.
/r/MensRights27/11/23 11:48 PM

It's weird that people generalize incels.
/r/MensRights27/11/23 11:22 PM

I define "incel" as someone who objectively can't find a sexual partner. My definition of incel is much stricter. Most people who claim to be "incels" are not incels.
/r/MensRights27/11/23 10:07 PM
14

Incel is short for involuntary celibate. There is no difference. Incels are a diverse group of people. Some are misogynist. Some are autistic. Some are normal.
/r/MensRights27/11/23 09:51 PM
15

There is no need to debate feminists.

Women are definitely welcome here. I would be super into threesomes, orgies or even gangbangs but it's dangerous. Is that because you don't wanna get pregnant by the wrong guy or STDs? women worry if they will be raped or killed. Is there data that shows women get raped on the first date? Don't they get raped by someone they know? There needs to be more sex education and more education on consent. Everyone knows what consent is. Rapists just don't care about it. Tinder is not there to get you a …
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/11/23 12:03 PM

I have read his papers and watched his interviews. He's pretty cool. His data is pretty similar to what Professor Sam Vaknin says about covert narcissists. Professor Vaknin said most incels are covert narcissists, in this video. Based on social media comments, I agree with him. Someone made a post at men's rights about women having unrealistic standards. It made me cringe reading that. I don't think most women have unrealistic standards. Some incels have become MRAs in hope of getting laid.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/11/23 11:37 AM

So I feel like if there was somehow a way to make men and women equally attracted to each other, many many problems in this realm could be solved. Men and women are already equally attracted to each other. Does that mean all men and women like each other? No. It depends on which man and which woman.

"Incels (involuntary celibates) are a subculture community of men who build their identity around their perceived inability to form sexual or romantic relationships. Men are more likely to be attacked on the streets. You can't exaggerate danger. Yes you can. People can lie about anything. You believe everything you hear? Why do guys like you find the need to be dishonest about this?? Things like this aren't even political, straight up safety measures. I'm not being dishonest. I think everyone should be cautious when traveling. However, feminists (like you) generalize all Indian men as rapists. That is misandrist and racist. Sure, there are probably more cree…

Incel is a meaningless insult because it's used against married men and women who are sexually active. It is also used against anyone who disagrees with feminists because they don't have arguments. Most of the time it's used against non-incels. Yes, it is true that society doesn't care about men's suffering. However, I think most self identified incels are covert narcissists. Professor Sam Vaknin said incels are covert narcissists in this video, around the 1 hr 9 minute mark. I agree with Profes…

Sometimes, such as when women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia or unveil themselves, it has to do with believing women need to be protected and worrying they'd be catcalled or someone will harm them, and feminists always act like only women are in danger walking out at night, even though most street criminals typically harm men and often spare women. People have never exactly hated men and wanted them to suffer nor did people feel that way towards women. People can have harsher attitudes towards men and benevolent, infantilizing attitudes towards women but that has to do with gender roles based on how they believe men and women should be. According to scholars, misandry is definitely real. "No published science paper demonstrates misogyny exists. Data on both implicit and explicit gender attitudes shows males substantially favouring females – philogyny – or, at worst, gender neutrality. This is hidden by elision with the wider notion of sexism; but there’s no evidence for hostile sexism, and hypothesised benevolent sexism is fatally flawed in operational definition. The mode whereby sexism supposedly causes harm -- stereotyping (…
