Of course these tactics are essential if you hash out your argument in a "safe space". A safe space is just a place where you never find out if you're wrong. Its a black hole of groupthink. It would be wrong to say that groupthink doesn't occur in other subs too, but I can't think of any other ones that really enforce it.

I agree. I hate the entire concept of the "I can't do it because its not socially acceptable" argument. If nobody is legally and physically preventing someone from doing something, then nobody's rights are being infringed upon. They fit the (vague) description of the thiefs and they were there with the car. The police needed to eliminate them as suspects as that is what they do. They weren't beaten or held for a rediculous amount of time, so I don't really see what the big deal is. They were just doing their jobs and i think they stayed within the bounds of reason.

I really don't believe that all feminists are like those feminists, but it is really disturbing that these are the people trusted with representing their movement in a lot of cases. What a surprise that NOW is against it. They say they want equality...oh yeah, I forgot, they're full of shit. They've come out against every attempt to make family law more fair, most notably a proposal to have the default custody ruling be a 50/50 split unless there is a legitimate reason to change it otherwise.

Before he graduated college, my brother wrote a paper on human trafficking. Apparently, labor trafficking is much more common than sex trafficking. Overall, it really seems stupid to not tackle the problem as a whole and just focus on one subset of the victims.
