No he never paid child support ever. You really should speak to a family attorney to see what your choices are. Maybe he pays support but does not see or interact with the mother or child. Maybe he does. What does he say he wants?

I have found that men who expect you to pay your own way eventually expect you to pay theirs as well. I am married but when we were dating he always paid and wouldn’t hear of me picking up the tab for anything.
