I’m…speechless. He has probably been grooming the daughter from day ONE for her to have such a emotional allegiance to him. The lingerie is a dead giveaway, obviously. Just the thought of how long he’s been preying on her makes me utterly disgusted. If only OP had had hidden cameras…like nanny cams. I’m sure that would have offered damning evidence. Too little too late.

Big ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ (before she wised up) and ‘Euphoria’ vibes @those women who wears makeup to bed or gets up at 5 AM to get ready for their men…cringey! But also, sad. It’s not really their fault. There’s a huge difference between putting a nice amount of effort into how you look for your partner and objectifying yourself. Unfortunately, women are so objectified by society that it IS easy to internalize the BS. The ordinary woman shouldn’t feel the need to PERFORM with makeup, clot…

Girl, I could have written this post myself. I have chills reading this. I, too, had a predatory (and older) NVM try to coerce me into living with him after only dating for 2 months. He tried to force me into signing the lease by taking advantage of how bad my housing situation was, with the condition that I would have to pay 50/50 on everything, namely HIS rent...and he made 2X more than me annually, to boot. After an explosive fight where I pushed and pushed, refusing to give in, he broke down…

Thank you for sharing this. It's such an important topic. Domestic and dating violence prevention needs to be discussed more often... not just dealing with the aftermath and escaping back to a normal, healthy environment. Escaping obviously isn't possible when someone is dead. This is also a sobering reminder that men who go to the shooting range, hunt, and/or casually carry guns because they're cool big boy toys (Mom's crazy ex did this) are potentially huge safety risks to themselves and other…

Right? It's absolutely insane what BS behavior scrotes make justifiable through their comrades on Reddit and 4chan. Just because it's getting excused by nasty-ass men behind a screen doesn't mean people won't find it repulsive in real life!

The best way to overcome this (great point, by the way) is to think of a more vague, positive version of your dealbreaker. For example, if you can't STAND men who make advances too quickly, don't say: "I don't have sex on the first few dates. I want a guy to wait at least a little bit before making advances." Instead, say: "I want a man who genuinely values me for who I am." That's exactly why rushing sex is a dealbreaker for most women. Healthy dating is more than just the physical...it's about…

I experienced this when I dated a useless man who didn't even know how to make a fucking sandwich beyond peanut butter and jelly. The grocery store was like a maze to him. Tons of calls! This isn't a rarity, folks... SMDH

This. Men who feel that their girlfriends or wives are property will get unjustly and unreasonably upset at anything remotely sexy that most women have fun wearing. Like a shirt that shows a bit of cleavage (a la OP) or a mini-skirt or what have you. The worst argument I've EVER heard about why women should dress more modestly is to avoid rape. Like, come on...very elderly women are raped, too, and I highly doubt they were baring their thighs or a wearing low-cut shirts. It's not about the cloth…

This is incredibly insightful and smart! I feel like more often than not, when we idealize people, we're looking for the best in them in order to serve ourselves with that goodness, too. But because we set a high bar (we're rarely just looking for sex and ego stroking), it rarely works out. I think this happens because as women, we're so less often built up, encouraged, and made to feel like stars and masters of making our own destiny. We inherit generational trauma from our mothers and their mo…

Point #1 is depressing, but true. Every woman entering the dating world needs to arm herself with this knowledge. Libfem "ideals" try to encourage us to go 50/50 or even offer to pay for him on the first date (!) when that's just letting these idiots get away with being absurdly low effort. Men who don't want to drop a single dime on you and offer even basic gestures of romance are trash. Don't be brainwashed by libfem! No, that doesn't mean you never do anything nice for him, but for God's sake…

Your comment is right on the money! I love it. In reference to your last point, I think the problem is that for NVM, especially on dating apps, it's all about the validation of getting matches. They don't even WANT it to go anywhere with any woman. It's all just a sick, twisted, ego-stroking game for these "men" who are addicted to the thrill of the chase.

And how about the men who like you or send a rose first and then never answer you when you start the conversation? What is the point of initiating contact only to never reply, even when someone writes more than "Hey" or "Hello"? I'm not going to bang down your door. Loser! That's why I'm done with apps... so tired of the low effort, low value bullshit!

The saddest part about this post is how the OP is completely disregarding that there are financially viable pathways to getting an education. Merit scholarships, awards for ethnically and racially diverse students, and in some cases, a full ride to cover all costs... two years of community college and transferring to a public four-year college... Pell grants to supplement what part-time income can't cover... there are many possibilities. It's unfortunate that education is automatically being equ…

Ladies, this is why we run (not walk) when NVM ask us to "come over" as a sad excuse for a first date. When this woman actually brought DATING into the equation, he acted like she was an entitled queen. That's because he's the type of "man" who thinks his self-assigned miraculous (read: sad, pathetic, shriveled) pp is such a gift that she shouldn't ask for anything else. Even a $2 drink. When in reality, we know that she would have left sore, exhausted, and lacking a single orgasm.

They’re not actually in a partnership. The marriage is a sham. And she knows it. That’s why she’s desperately doing shit like this to try and make it real; it never will be. He’s incredibly selfish. Not even wanting to put your partner’s laundry away for them is ridiculously self-centered, and instead of calling him out for not being an equal participant she’s acting like his mommy. 💀

They're rationalizing their lack and their low-effort men. Plain and simple. Unfortunately, their bullshit gives LVM and NVM more of a podium to stand on when they accuse women of being divas and spoiled queens for wanting what was once just considered normal: Men who don't enjoy being emasculated by having women take them out; and men who see an engagement ring and proposing as a once-in-a-lifetime experience that deserves the financial investment.

This post is fantastic. I especially like the call out of NVM who use women for free emotional and spiritual labor without giving them any real significance and visibility in their personal lives. That's always an awful sign. No friend would EVER do that to a friend, regardless of gender. But men absolutely do this to women they "befriend"... spinning it as a special, private bond that no one else could ever understand as an excuse to keep it all under wraps. No string attached, no messy paper t…

I admire your strength. They key here isn't that you're denying or repressing your feelings, because sometimes, that may feel like the only "answer" to being deeply hurt. You instead kept expectations from taking over... not really your own, but more so the ones HE created with an orchestrated romantic vibe and by projecting a normal, well-rounded version of himself that actually doesn't exist. He was hoping that you would be attached to this possibility of an amazing relationship with an amazin…

Yep, great point! There's always someone waiting to take your place if you don't act like the perfect girlfriend according to their delusional, self-serving standards. LVM and NVM take what they can get from vulnerable women on these apps. I find it hard to believe that even the ones who say "looking for something serious" will turn down the chance to swap nudes, have a one-time hook-up, or even do FWB just to get over you... their options are almost unlimited. Of course, that outlook obviously …

This. This is EXACTLY why OF is a disaster and not empowering in the least for women. Women routinely have their OFs used against them, either as vehicles for manipulation or revenge porn. I’m sick of it. Though the content is behind a pay wall, the fact that she’s presumably identifiable as the account holder is still a huge issue for her professionalism and security.

OnlyFans is not empowering for women. It's not a fun, sexy way for women to get rich without facing any physical, mental, or emotional consequences. I'll die on that hill. I can't stand how liberal feminism equates sex work with women feeling stronger and more in control of their bodies. It's absolutely the opposite. Ultimately, women are always at risk by using these platforms. Being exploited, stalked off-line, harassed, and eventually crumbling mentally and emotionally under the weight of hav…

100% this. I've had a few LV pricks on dating apps literally tell me that they can't stand women who think the "natural look" is a good one... I also got what was practically a lecture trying to prime me for the type of makeup I should wear for him. He went into great detail about how much he loved eyeliner, mascara, and black eyeshadow. Like, excuse me? Please, I'm gagging! Also, my mother's ex-husband inflicted physical abuse when she cut two inches off her hair. A more extreme case, absolutel…

Yes! I'm with you. It bothers me to no end when men just say "I'm bad at planning things in general" and try to brush off the fact that they're not putting any effort into dating. They literally don't care enough and take HVW for granted. That's why they're not making those plans. I had a guy recently ask me out to eat and he couldn't even be bothered to suggest a restaurant. He instead asked for my help. Help? Hello, sir, have you heard of Google? You know where I live and all my food preferenc…
