Similar situation happened to me but with a normal approach at uni. Two girls I have class with were standing outside the class room. I think that you should always have something to do as a plan b whenever you are meeting someone. This way you won't feel down about spending an hour waiting around for someone who didnt show up. So what they didn't show up? Your plan B is exactly that. Plan B!
