I think Michael should have been meeting girls who shared his values by volunteering for a charity, going on religious retreats, and striking up conversations with quiet, studious girls. I suspect that like many college men including myself at that age, he gravitated towards lively charismatic girls who were out of his league while overlooking wife-material types. He should own this instead of falling back on ego-sparing "nice guy" talk and complaints about dorm culture.

I can't help but think that out-of-wedlock pregnancies will skyrocket. EG, imagine some urban "youf" or sociopathic fratboy reassuring a clueless teenage girl "we don't need a condom, babe, I'm on the pill". If you have a daughter, it's more important than ever to raise her right so she'll be able to seek out and win a high-value man instead of ending up a single mother.
