We tend to have more female patients than males and, therefore, have a higher population of females in our patients with skin cancer than with males. However, from what I have experienced, younger males (younger than 60) have a tendency to put off excisions of cancerous spots (both squamous/basal cell carcinomas AND malignant/in situ melanomas).
