| 2 | Lack of masculinity is the problem with todays societyThats just toxic behaviour. Toxic masculinity is what is shown on the ad | /r/MensRights | 15/01/19 05:57 PM |
| 0 | Lack of masculinity is the problem with todays societyWell im not a troll and i think you are the one who is either a troll or not even reading/trying to understand my comment but here is my answer: No just because it happens in a couple of species is not at all, far from it enough evidence for it to be the sale for humans. | /r/MensRights | 15/01/19 04:51 PM |
| 1 | Lack of masculinity is the problem with todays societyIrrelevant to this debate I meant that toxic masculinity is catcalling women and letting boys fight, and that the gilette ad was campaigning against that I dont understand what you dont understand. You then say that it is the lack of masculinity that makes guys act like that (toxic masculinity). So my question is: proof of that causation? And if you dont get what toxic masculinity is lets just say its men catcalling women, letting boys fight as it is what men do etc. | /r/MensRights | 15/01/19 04:37 PM |
| -5 | Lack of masculinity is the problem with todays societySo you are saying that toxic masculinity as portrayed by the gilette ad (someone stopping his friend from catcalling, a dad not letting his kids fight with other boys...) is not a problem? Or are you saying that a lack of masculinity is a problem? But then why bother talking about toxic masculinity? If you are not arguing about the causation/correlation between lack of masculintity and the toxic one (as im guessing many peopke who upvoted this post did) then whats the link between them? Why talk… | /r/MensRights | 15/01/19 04:03 PM |
| -5 | Lack of masculinity is the problem with todays societyThat lack of masculinity is correlated to toxic masculinity | /r/MensRights | 15/01/19 03:52 PM |
| -16 | Lack of masculinity is the problem with todays societyJust because there is a correlation doesn’t mean there is a causation. I think that we can all agree that there is less toxic masculinity now than 20,30 or 50 years ago. On the other side there are more and more single mothers recently (divorce rates have gone up). Couldn’t this mean the less fathers there are the less toxic masculintity? Im guessing you will say no so theb the statement if thus post is also false/without any evidence. | /r/MensRights | 15/01/19 03:49 PM |
| -33 | Lack of masculinity is the problem with todays societyNot contradicting the second part of your statement, however just because something is how it is for elephants or in nature is completely irrelevant on wether it is the same for humans. There are a LOT of things normal or that animals do that aren’t biologically the same for humans. | /r/MensRights | 15/01/19 03:43 PM |
