That logic is flawed. The 12 year old girls getting married were not getting married to boys their age. They were married off to suitable adult men with their own resources usually. If the law really was trying to stop girls from immediately having relations with lots of men when they reached maturity, it would still be allowing very young marriages to older men because then they would have no choice but to settle down as soon as they could bear children.

I'm thoroughly for the MGTOW way of thinking. It's helped a lot in my life making sure I don't settle for a woman who is only out for a free ride. But posts like the one you just linked make me wonder whether anyone here is actually trying to go their own way, or whether they just want to complain about most women. Yes most modern women are narcissistic and spoiled. Don't associate with them then! Don't have children with them. That's MGTOW, you owe them nothing. But my god, some obviously lonel…

I've had the great fortune to not meet many women like this. I'm guessing it's mostly women...under a certain age? Do you know any men personally affected by this? I'd like to hear if so. I can't imagine sperm banks allow you to choose sperm from a certain person. In the UK you just get a list of characteristics of the man...age, height, eye colour, hair colour etc. So getting a man's sperm like that would be nye on impossible. Also in the UK, I know of couples married for a short period of time…

It's unfortunate because the heart of the subreddit is and should be - "be happy in yourself and don't seek a partner because you are lonely, only spend your time on what makes you happy, not what makes someone else happy". But there are lots of bitter woman haters who make this sub about their petty interactions with one or two women, which is exactly what most of us hate about feminist subreddits. I've been MGTOW, in my own way for over 35 years. As in, I've actually had a female life partner,…

Glad you have a decent group of lads to talk to. Even some boys don't get it right when it comes to talking to their friends and leaning on each other. Nothing toxic about having brothers.

Not all. They are very rare sure, but don't you hate it when feminists say "all" men. These sweeping statements make this sub less about facts and helping people see the light and more about personal feelings.

Glad you met some, that are for sure a dying breed of woman. They know what it means to be a good woman and let men be good men.

Barely any of that is true for my (an older) generation. My partner and I have never fucked around and I don't provide for her. She stays because she wants to. Yes things are different now but if you go into a relationship thinking that's how women 'just are" you're going to have a shitty time because that's not their nature, that's young women being spoiled with more attention than ever and being told it's okay to do whatever they want because men aren't shit. You think women could act like tha…

Not married and no kids, but had a partner for over 35 years. Used to think I wanted to raise some, but quickly got over it when I realised it's so pointless. Humans are going rapidly downhill and I'm gonna be too dead to care what my grandkids would be doing while the earth is on fire.

She is not fully grown yet, you're better off without that toxicity in your life. Find happiness alone, and don't go back to girls like her who don't want to put in effort, it's a horrible, hard lesson to learn but a necessary one. Message if you ever need to chat and show emotion without judgement.

It sounds silly to be this trusting... but when we've spoken about what would happen if we split we agreed that we would each take a fair amount. Call me a dummy but I trust her after all this time. I've got it in writing (nothing as fancy as a contract with a lawyer) but I've not been made a fool of and needed to use that yet! Get yourself a woman with her own life and income and she is less likely to go after yours. I feel so sorry for young men at the moment, I've not met a woman worth talkin…

I never had kids, never regretted it a bit. The human race is doomed now there is no 'mothering' figure in the house though. I never wanted them and so I didn't look for a wife/mother, I looked for a partner. If people want families they don't need a good partner, they need a good wife/mother who doesn't want to have her own life so to speak. I'm still with my partner after a long time and she's the only woman I've EVER met that I could even think about having kids with because she doesn't depen…

I never married my partner, we've been together over 35 years and I really think it helped with the power struggle. We both knew we could leave if things got tough and we never held that 'half your stuff' shit over eachother. Women who don't look for marriage seem to be the only women worth settling down with ironically

Why for the father to see? Surely better for a non-biased party to see because a stingy father might not want the "best" sports kit or toys for his kids. Also as another commenter said, this should go both ways and apply to for men who receive child support too. But overall I agree with the sentiment, it seems sensible.
