The thing is she probably pushed him as hard as she could. A previous poster said that he knows her and she's pretty nice now but then she was a giant bitch. Maybe at knock some sense into her?

I am of the opinion that women make logical and perfectly reasonable choices to do jobs that pay less. I would say there is definitely more men that don't like an office environment than women yes. But people do like working in the air conditioning that's indisputable fact. Women will choose to do things that are more comfortable and less dangerous. Look at all of your feminist women and how many of them line directly up with that? Careful about the personal attacks now. Okay so I agree with you…

Interestingly enough about choices I do believe there was a well-made study looking at stem and earnings in the Nordic countries. Always held as Paragons of egalitarian thought among the populace and Paragons of progressivism. What they found is that women in these countries who had the freedom, arguably more freedom then the rest of the world to choose, more often chose traditional female roles. Is it diminutive to women to say that they just choose roles that pay less but are more fulfilling?

Well there you go we can find common ground then. There is no pay Gap as defined by getting paid less for the same job. There is an earnings Gap whose cause is a debatable subject. Since the seventies it's been the same drum beating that women are paid less for the same job. Seems like feminists have pivoted on that subject as it's unsustainable. As well they should to engage in rational discourse. I'm still not sure they didn't pull some Shenanigans seeing as every previous study I've ever seen…

It's way easier to get a job as a female in computer science than as a man. Indisputable fact by anyone who is in the actual field. Women just don't go into stem. Now you could argue that's due to societal pressures but you cannot possibly argue that they make less money for doing the same job! And what are you talkin about for a wage? there are women that work in construction. You could go out and do it tomorrow if you'd like. But the vast majority of women don't, they'd much rather route the t…

And really with a straight face if you ask a bunch of women if they want two wheel wheelbarrow full of concrete around in hundred degree weather they're going to choose not to. They're going to choose not to much more often than men.

No I've seen studies like this that were also done in Australia. With the exact sleight-of-hand. The paragraph states that even amongst full-timers men work more hours than women. They explicitly did not say that they adjusted for that. That's duplicitous in and of itself. They did not adjust for the difference in hours worked. They merely state that it is a more equal measure than full-time men versus part-time women. They throw that sentence in there stating that men work more hours than women…

It seems like we agree on the facts but completely different conclusions. It comes down to their choice. Men could work as social workers and women can work in construction / heavy labor. The first paragraph contradicts itself in that even amongst full-time workers men are working more hours than women. That alone can easily account for the discrepancy.

That's because they cannot possibly use same jobs/hours and still claim a wage gap. They use full time? Full time social worker vs full time oil rig roughneck? That's only a valid measure if full time jobs paid the same. It's flat earth esque level of ridiculous. There is an undeniable earnings gap. Primarily due to women's life decisions. Are they idiots to choose something with a better life balance or level of fulfillment? No! But that shit doesn't pay the same! There is no appreciable wage g…

It's due to their choices. They're choosing to do things that they find more fulfilling or that have a better work-life balance rather than doing something they hate for high pay until they drop dead of a coronary.

You're completely delusional if you think that the pay Gap as represented in Academia hasn't explicitly said that men and women are paid differently for the same job.
