| – | "love yourself before anyone can love you" etc. is ultimately insinuating people with serious problems should be alone and it's wrong for them to dateIt’s a phrase that sounds really good and has therefore been applied to everything and everyone because it’s more polite than saying dude you’re way too f’ed up and you’ll never have a good relationship. It is helpful advice if you are the type to not show affection cause your mental illness prevents you from being able to show adequate affection in a relationship or if you’re the opposite and don’t love yourself enough to understand what being loved in a healthy way looks like. | 7 | RedPillers, what would you say was your "RedPill moment?"I thought when women say ‘emotionally unavailable’ they meant unwilling to discuss emotions and feelings. I feel like most women I’ve met have experienced a man obsessing over them and ‘willing to move heaven and earth’. That’s not the same as being willing to talk about what makes them sad and what sort of future they want etc... | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/03/21 05:57 PM |
What are your thoughts on therapy? Why is it or why is it not effective? It 100% depends on who you are and who you get. I went through tons of psychs and therapists that literally got mad at me for not being able to discuss what they wanted me too. Some of them made me hate myself more than I already do. I finally got this psych who saw that I had a chemistry background so he explained the drugs and their use and effectiveness to me and walked me through the logic behind the therapies and strategies he was suggesting. I owe that dude my life. If you’re considering d… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/01/21 11:47 PM
A lot of the things women demonize men for in the dating world are things they themselves are most guilty ofHow many guys? Most of them and I think it’s literally killing some of them. I think our current dating culture is incredibly unhealthy for both genders. I think we all need to grow up, stop expecting flawless people and learn to communicate and have some empathy and understanding for what the other gender is going through. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/01/21 02:59 PM
A lot of the things women demonize men for in the dating world are things they themselves are most guilty ofI have made no judgment as to who is to blame or how intelligent woman may or may not be. Nor will I. I was rather suggesting that OP may have misunderstood what the Tik Tok women were talking about. However while you might be right that only 1% of men physically assault women. I think you’ll find that number increases a fair amount when you add in men that have pressured women into sex (the other part of the behaviour I mentioned) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/01/21 05:22 AM
A lot of the things women demonize men for in the dating world are things they themselves are most guilty ofAh I see. Sorry I have literally never been on tik tok. Could definitely be some projecting but to be fair everyone has their own personal bar and I definitely know people of both genders with bars low enough to trip over. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/01/21 06:08 AM
A lot of the things women demonize men for in the dating world are things they themselves are most guilty ofCould be wrong but most women who I’ve heard say the ‘bar is so low’ or ‘the bar is on the floor’ are talking about behaviour. They’re looking for a guy that won’t assault them or pressure them into sex. Ideally a guy cares about their pleasure during the sex. These women still tend to be picky when it comes to looks and stuff | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/01/21 05:51 AM
The next generations will be filled with “assholes” in datingMaybe I’m just biased cause I’m from a hippy town but I think most women here would appreciate you teaching your son that respect and equality for all no Disney bullshit | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/12/20 04:22 PM
Q4Men: Has the Blue Pill advice ever worked for you or anyone you know?Ask her about her interests/career and actually have intellectual conversation about something she and hopefully both of you care about. Don’t buy her a ton of things and shower her in compliments like you would if you were worshiping an ancient goddess. It’s weird and creepy and makes most women think you just want in their pants and will immediately call them a whore if you’re successful. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/20 05:33 PM
