If the standard is hard work then I say we have a 2nd place playoff for 50% the average wage of the professional league players (which happens to be made of men). These playoffs would be between thoroughly transitioned trans athletes, dwarves, Special Olympians, amputees, people with a BMI over 34, kids 12 and under, people over 60 and women. I bet a lot of people would watch those playoffs.

It's factually untrue and the odd thing about it is our inclusion editor is only able to state this by excluding Black mass shooting victims of Black shooters like they aren't people or something. I get the idea which is to juice up the numbers by including some of the more ambitious street crime and then showing a white guy with a scary black rifle but when a majority mass shootings are young Black or Hispanic males with a pistol situations then the story falls apart.

He's attacked women before so there's that. It is pretty damn weird to demand money from someone to protect yourself from them and a sort of luxury men don't get. edit: I see I've hurt your feelings. I'd just like Amber Heard to be on the receiving end of this too.

That's a rookie mistake. You gotta stick to those college kangaroo courts if you want your scam to work.

It's not anecdotal but I did see this study with my own eyes. From the NIH (IPV stands for intimate partner violence): Overall, IPV was reported in 23.9% of relationships, with women reporting a greater proportion of violent relationships than men (28.4% vs 19.3%; P< .01). Among violent relationships, nearly half (49.7%) were characterized as reciprocally violent. Women reported a significantly greater proportion of violent relationships that were reciprocal versus nonreciprocal than did men (wo…

Aside from the sexually dysmorphic species thing, several of the first formative experiences of human life like eating and warmth and comfort from another human being involve a set of tits as big as your head and your world revolves around them for months.

The patriarchy is at it again by denying some of the safest, healthiest, wealthiest and most cared for people in the history of the human race effortless vindication of their claims of victimhood.

Well, not all of them. The worst of the predatory creeps are still happy to work alongside women. It's the responsible guys who nope'n out of this nonsense.

It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it. - Upton Sinclair The thing is it isn't the quality if their play. Elite women's tennis players make money and they make money because women with money watch tennis. That's despite being completely unable to match male players. Watching women's soccer for a couple of weeks every few years can't fund a league.

The Brian Banks movie came out this week in the US. He was an American football player who went to prison for a false rape accusation. I haven't seen it yet but the trailer is downplaying the bit where the accuser lied and sued the university part.

Hey, these ladies just want to make softcore porn for teens to make money and demand one of the world's largest companies to help them do it. I thought this was America!

Emma "Mattress Girl" Sulkowicz got revenge, fame, a degree and a hero's reception in DC after a German guy got bored of butt fucking her and she accused him of rape. Between texts and social media posts it turns out that was bullshit.

I think a good response to this is: OK, so how many women's soccer games are you going to next year? The seats are cheap and great ones are plentiful. How about you buy some jerseys and watch ESPN International at weird times of the day and night to support your favorite team at bars with your friends? Women's tennis players make money because women with money watch it and buy shit. If you want them to be paid more then that's your job not everyone else's.

So one more man is beaten, tormented, ostracized and nearly robbed but a few more learn the lesson of being a man? There's a strange freedom in in knowing how little other people care about you and I have to think that this freed a lot of men. Johnny was a sacrifice and I'm justice is too much to hope for but maybe this did some good too in the end.

This ruling didn't require women to sign up for selective service or face consequences for not doing it so it barely does anything. I say in the meantime here's my compromise: only women who are serving or have served can have or wear pants with pockets.

"Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat." Hillary Clinton To be fair, people typically consider men as a lower tier of human being when it comes to suffering so when people say something about a woman being a wife, mother, sister, etc. they mean a person who was loved and valued by others as the reader loves people in turn. Men are mostly just men so you get "local man".

Sombody forgot to stop swinging when the cops show up. You can beat people up and get away with it most of the time if you're a woman and remember that 1 simple rule. He'll, if she didn't hit that cop she might have scored a hash tag. From the linked NIH article: Overall, IPV was reported in 23.9% of relationships, with women reporting a greater proportion of violent relationships than men (28.4% vs 19.3%; P< .01). Oh, you wouldn't be referring to Rosie Batty, the famous Australian domestic violence campaigner, would you? She's a champion of protecting people from all sorts of domestic violence and child abuse (as long as men are responsible). That last bit is a little bit of a problem because women are responsible for most of the child abuse and neglect but apparently Australia is constantly punishing women so they should be allowed to treat toddlers like a dollar store piñata.

The story here shouldn't be about John McEnroe at all, it should be what this controversy says about the news media and exploring the truth as opposed to selling a narrative. That's a huge deal and one no one is interested in it.

I know of one exception and that's tennis. Women are paid relatively well because women, especially women with money, watch tennis. They play and buy gear, they go to matches, and they watch on TV so the first lady of reddit and her sister are very wealthy women. If women's basketball and soccer want in on that then that's what they need to do, get other women to watch their games.

If we paid women the same as men then they wouldn't have teams because virtually no one watches women's soccer aside from their world cup. The funding they get as almost a form of charity from the men's programs couldn't cover those wages. The WNBA works the same way. If you want them to be paid the same then women need to actually watch games and buy stuff like they do with tennis. The problem is that it requires effort and being butthurt and demanding the rules of economics not apply to you is…
