Thats what I mean when I said she could just say “he didn’t record him raping me, he only recorded the times we had consensual sex” It just wouldn’t work. It’s a relationship. If you don’t trust the other person to not accuse you, you shouldn’t be in the relationship.

I mean, I get it but also it wouldn’t do much legally I’m guessing. I’m no lawyer but consent can be revoked at any point, you’d have to record the whole encounter from start to finish if you want proof. Even then, a woman could argue that the non consensual event in question was an unrecorded instance.

You can’t control what other people do, only yourself. Be safe and hope no one attacks you. It’s insulting to force an entire gender in a “don’t rape people” seminar and will not be effective even if we did.

Weird how comfortable women are to admitting to legally raping their husbands

Fuck it, I’ll join you in the downvote stream. This is mens rights subreddit, they’re a hive mind. They don’t like hearing anything that resembles non mens rights narrative. Even if it is cold hard fact like pointing out a law. Mens rights is good, the subreddit is bad.

Well I have to say, this has been the best political discussion I’ve had on the subject and I definitely agree with a lot.

I mean there’s two sides to this conversation. False accusations should be punished as bad as what the accused crime is, that’s a fault with the legal system. The stat that feminists pull up is very very misleading. I hate the 2% of accusations are false stat because it’s just not a solid number. This isn’t the type of thing you can get valid, accurate data on. So I’m on neither side of “it’s common” or “it’s super rare”. The 1 in 4 women are raped stat is just misspoken I think. I will say out …

Convinced we have the same mum lmao sorry op, shits rough

Oh yeah I get that, I just used it as an example because that was the first time I saw how blatant it was and ironically I was a 14 year old feminist at the time. I just meant that I’ve scrolled some posts here and some men seem to think false rape accusations are common and they’re at risk at all times just by associating with women (for example). After seeing stuff like that here I’ve come to the conclusion that the echo chamber here is almost as harmful as modern feminists regurgitating the s…

Also female mra here, do you ever feel the extremism on this side of the conversation? Extremism might not be the right word but like an echo chamber effect? I’ve had my life turned upside down because the family court wouldn’t give my dad custody over my proven abusive mother so I’ve learned early that men need help. But I come to this sub and see some of the strangest things. Watch me get downvoted lmao

Oh 100%. If you don’t make the bar because you’re biology is hindering your ability to, it’s not the bars fault. My examples don’t have bars though. The interviewer looked me up and down and decided no.

100% agree I get they take on risk by taking women into physically demanding jobs. in my example though, it was store room job at a supermarket… hardly an issue. But this excuse doesn’t work for why I’d get rejected as a car detailer, mechanic or auto parts store. Again, I get WHY they might be turned off on first glance but it’s infuriating.

Why?

The worst I have ever experienced is job discrimination - I tend to lean towards masculine jobs currently in a “lift box then lift another box” job and I was lucky I was given a chance. In the past I applied for a job and the interviewer said “there’s a lot of heavy lifting and I don’t think you’re right for the role.”To which I said I’m in a very physical role already and as long as lifting is below 30kgs I can handle it. I think he got scared and said “I’ll let you know”. Only for my boyfriend…

Yes but as I said before, the list is TOO much. Just be sensible and don’t associate with crazy and your risk factor goes from very low to almost impossible.

Yeah, exactly my point.

Same thing women should do to avoid rape. Be sensible, don’t involve yourself with crazy people. At the end of the day, it’s the false accuser that holds the cards, unfortunately. This is beyond what men should do to protect themselves because if someone accuses you, not much can actually protect you. I wouldn’t bother taking the precaution OP has listed because it’s just too much and not as effective as just choosing who you associate with.

Yes, prevent bad things from happening. My point was that the things listed above are over the top

Prepared to get downvoted but this sub is definitely an echo chamber. The scenario of false accusations is so rare. And if you don’t stick your dick in crazy you’re pretty safe. This is an over the top list to prevent the unlikely. It’s like if I, as a woman wore lockable steel undies to prevent rape. Just love your life sensibly and don’t get involved with crazy. Just like not all men, not all women. That’s equality lads

Right? I’m here to talk about where mens rights is lacking not an over the top list of things to do to protect yourself in the rare scenario you meet a crazy woman who could do this to an innocent man

She definitely didn’t go about the right angle but sex addiction is like any other addiction. The only difference is, there’s a beneficiary. I don’t think she’s blaming men for her addiction tbh.

Can’t really stop anyone from saying anything about you. So not really. Unless you count choosing who you put your dick in. Which you should. Less random hook ups the better. You should actually be able to say that you trust them enough to know they won’t do you dirty for no reason.

It makes me angry that you’re getting downvoted for making a factual statement so I’m here to take some sympathy downvotes for you

I think it’s pretty interesting that women think this way. Women are mothers through biology whereas men are fathers through experience. It’s wild that it just doesn’t occur to women that as a step mother you should EXPECT to be second to your new husbands kids just like your husband should be second to your bio kids.

I’m prepared to get downvoted here because it’s the wrong sub BUT I have to say it Guys who stare aren’t THAT bad. I reckon the line is crossed when it’s older men looking at women in their 20s that when women just went “yup, get me out” Also don’t forget it’s a money game. There’s obviously a market for women only gyms. Do you think it’s possible that someone has opened a male only gym that hasn’t done so well because there just aren’t enough guys who prefer to go to a male only gym?

You realise everyone is bias? We as humans are biased to what we already believe. I think you’re misinformed by thinking everything you think is objective and the only view with fact.

Again, I agree with the man. The stats are on your side I’m simply advising that in the future, it is more productive to ask someone who respectfully disagrees with you to get answers to the “am I wrong” question
/r/MensRights21/12/21 05:12 AM

Again, I never said I disagreed. Just that op asking if he’s wrong isn’t effective in a subreddit where his view is the norm.
/r/MensRights21/12/21 05:09 AM

No 100% they will. But my point was that op will only hear exactly what he’s already said/thought by posting here. He’s more likely to hear something he hasn’t by posting in another opposing sub. R/feminism was a bad suggestion but I don’t know where else. Maybe r/politics or similar?
/r/MensRights21/12/21 05:07 AM

Yeah that’s why I added the last comment lmao I’m still banned for suggesting that women should think about their safety and not drink till they black out, travel in pairs at least and don’t go outside alone at night. And that was like 3? Years ago
/r/MensRights21/12/21 05:05 AM

I never said I disagreed. I just suggested that if he really wanted to hear a genuine answer rather than an echo chamber, this isn’t the subreddit. But hey, as humans we love reassurance
/r/MensRights21/12/21 05:04 AM

This isn’t the subreddit for the question because you’re just going to be more validated by people with similar views. If you want a genuine answer maybe post to something like r/feminism (Although you might get banned like i did for asking questions)

The myth of the gender pay gap isn’t even the biggest issue with that poster. “Increase salaries to catch up against inflation” that sentence actually angers me.

That thought crossed my mind to but it was on r/feminism...
