Yeah I'm thinking now that I was perhaps more critical than I needed to be, sorry about that. I would say that the extent to which rape, sexual harrassment and abuse of women is still an issue depends on what part of the world is being talked about. It does bother me when places that are far better than anywhere for most of history are branded as horrible oppressive societies regardless of the enormous contraditions that follow. While men are physically stronger, I would disagree that the law is…

I'm honestly not sure whether you're trying to argue that men and women struggle are inherantly different and thus struggle to understand eachother, or that they are prevented from empathising with eachother because of an oppressive patriarchal social system. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it almost sounds like you're attempting to convey feminist patriarchy theory in a very indirect way. In all honestly, I think that the last thing that this guy needs right now is to be fed more ideological narra…

Identity politics in general is bad for this sort of thing. It can lead to the 'other' group as a whole being seen as malign and threatening, be it men, women, whites, blacks, whatever. Everyone gets so caught up in fighting the enemy that they lose sight of the bigger picture and can't see beyond their ideological narratives. "We are getting screwed over/oppressed and they are responsible for it!"

If a perspective or theory that you are into has caused you to dehumanise half of the human population, its almost certainly a very bad one that can cause nothing but harm for all involved. Imagine believing that blacks or jews weren't people, and think about the kind things that have been justified on the basis of such views. Then apply the same reasoning to TRP. The only difference is which group that is being portrayed as sub-human.

I want to emphasise that TPR has nothing to do with actual evolutionary psychology. Though they use the word, what they advocate for has little to nothing in common with work produced by academics in the field. TRP is nothing more than essentialist nonsense masquerading as serious intellectual inquiry. You might find it reassuring to read some of what evolutionary psycholists write and see how it differs from TRP.

these movements are from the same school of thought If you think I've been saying that, then you haven't been understanding very much. There is no overarching 'school of thought' that connects them, they all have their own 'theory' or 'perspectives' which take influence from eachother.

First thing first, you never saw me saying that Red Pill (game) or MRA or whatever are the same thing. You did see me saying that they are rooted in the same philosophy which happens to be true, and which happens to have the same name as one of it's subdimensions There's an important difference between different groups having overlap of people who are within them, and said groups actually being part of one big group and not having major defining distinctions. You ramble on about how they link to…

MRA, MGTOW and Red Pill all make part of the movement known as the Red Pill philosophy. You can make that claim, but you're not giving any basis for it. The Men's Rights Movement has existed for decades, developing from fathers campaigning for the right to see their children. MGTOW branched off from the MRM in a direction of its own. While MRA's see various aspects of the legal system as skewed against men and seek to fix this through reform, MGTOWs reject the idea of marriage or kids, and basic…

I usually restrain from commenting on the political side of the Red Pill (namely MRAs) You seem to have conflated MRA's, MGTOWs and Red Pillers all into one. Recently there's actually been a major conflict between MRA's and Red Pill-influenced MGTOWs on youtube, and many MRA's are being put off MGTOW by the rampant woman-hating. I'm not an MRA, but you seem to have a pretty poor understanding of the movement.

The 'evo-psych' that redpillers spout isn't real evolutionary psychology, its redundant pseudo-essentialist nonsense and folklore masquerading as legitimate theory. I'd encourage you not to lump the two together, as they really are completely different. If you're interested: http://www.cep.ucsb.edu/primer.html

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
