My husband and I are expecting our first child, and he's going to be the stay-at-home parent. Call it hormones if you want, but this absolutely has me choking back tears.

I can't wait to have a son specifically so I can not have him circumcised just to spite her.

It's a double edged sword. To my knowledge, most employers won't fire someone without cause because then the former employee is eligible for unemployment pay, which affects the employer's insurance costs. So there is incentive for them to not fire people all willy-nilly. I do know employment contracts exist in the US, I just don't know how common they are. I've certainly never had one and can't think of anyone I know ever having had one. Obviously I'm making assumptions about the conditions of O…

Not quite. Unless he's in Montana, which is the only for-cause state in the nation (I think), then the employer only has to prove that OP wasn't fired for being male and/or white. He could be fired for literally nothing in an at-will state, except for being a member of a protected class. So they don't actually have to give a reason, just have to successfully argue that it's not the reason OP is saying it is. However, OP has the testimony of a professional stating that he was targeted on the basi…

Agreed. I just wanted to say that because there is an alternative that is a lot more comfortable for everyone involved. And maybe I'm weird (/s) but I think the dogs that are most commonly docked for esthetic reasons are way cutter with their floppy ears. Like dobermans? Oh man, I could give those guys ear scritches all day long!

I'll probably get downvoted for this but I'm going to throw it out there... I did have to have my cat declawed. His front claws grew deformed for some reason, and they were piercing his feet and causing him a lot of pain. I didn't go through with it for a long time because I am so against declawing; I just kept telling myself to be better at trimming his nails (the deformation made trimming very difficult). Anyway, I talked to my vet who told me that some places are declawing in a very different…

Yeah, but I'm not sure they wouldn't have reacted similarly if it had been two guys or two girls. The real pussy pass will be if he got in trouble and she didn't/didn't get in as much trouble. In my opinion, he shouldn't get in any trouble because he was defending himself. But my one "fight" in school was purely self-defense on my part and I got equal punishment as the instigator, I doubt even the most fair school shares my opinion on that.

I mean, to be fair, don't most people intervene in a fight once there's a clear loser? (and she did clearly lose)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
