Why do they hate you? As far as I can tell they hate the idea of my girl leaving the fold. I've gotten a bunch of different "problems" they bring up, but they don't stick to one thing and they don't provide evidence. And is this that same girl? No. Definitely not. This is a good Christian girl I've known most of my life. Her character is sterling as far as I can tell.

This sounds like a frame issue. If you can't say "This was recommended by a friend, and so I thought I'd give it a go" you've got problems.

OYS??, 36, 205lbs (30% bf), 5'10", divorced, 2 year LTR I'll try to keep this short. It's been 3 years since my last OYS. Things I did well: Emotional regulation. The divorce was 4 years ago. Through prayer and self reflection and input from guys like you I have come to a place where a lot of the damage I earned during that time I have healed from. I've still got baggage that I work through as it comes up, and for the most part I don't spend more than a day or two stuck on any particular thing. …

This is a losing game. She's human. She has eyes and a brain. Ostensibly she might not be dumb, which means she at least intuitively she will understand what you're doing even if she cannot put words to it. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

He's actually pretty chill. I dunno if he's lost more weight, but he does lift regularly (and makes progress when he's not hurting himself). Depends on why he got the flowers. If OP got the flowers cuz he wanted to, he's fine. He wanted flowers, he got them. If OP got flowers because she asked him to and he wanted to avoid her butthurt from not getting flowers... Now he's being reactive to her mental/emotional condition (ie, in her frame).

I've had one or two encounters over the last year. Nothing really worth mentioning. I haven't made women a focus. Fucking sounds nice in theory, but I'm not really sure I want the baggage that goes with it. I follow God, and His law doesn't allow for liaisons outside of marriage. Married Red Pill is RP on hard mode. Christian Red Pill is RP on God Mode. :) To be clear: when I say encounters I mean involvement with women that could have ended in fucking if I had pushed in that direction.

I'm just about 12 months ahead of you. My divorce was finalized last June. Stay clear of serious relationships for now. They will only prevent you from dealing with all the garbage that's built up in you over the duration of your marriage. If you don't think you can deal with women without getting oneitis, then don't try and start anything. Now's a time to heal. Healing is hard work, too. The sidebar is your friend. Not enslaved to what? The marital roles? Or the marital vows? the proper follow-up question is what does the enslaving, the vow or the requirements the vow begets? If it is by a vow one is placed into slavery, the verse seems to indicate that one is free from that which enslaves. If it is by responsibility that one is enslaved, then the vow stands and the responsibility is void. U/deep_strength has a more well thought out position on this than I do. For an alternative interpretation of scripture…

As a guy, are you saying that there is a way to have more enjoyable sex for me than what normal people experience? Your focus is in the exact wrong place. To the point that you illustrate GP's post with near perfection. You are sex obsessed, because sex == dopamine, and dopamine == good feelz. So, going with what GP says, you choose to stop. And by the grace of God and His strength alone will you be able to stop. It all depends on how bad you want God's help.

Suppose you pull the trigger and make no money, how long will you last before you're out of cash? Assuming you run out of cash, will you be able to get work? Do you have potential jobs lined up? You sound confused. The gospel is simple: accept that Jesus is God, believe that He died (in your place) and rose again (so that you don't have to pay for your sin), and commit to following Him. Everything beyond that is frosting, it's gravy, it's the cream. (I might be hungry.) You don't need any of the extra stuff to be saved.

You are correct. You question motives and so do I. "Read the Bible" has a number of connotations; among them are literally reading the Word; being washed by His Word and taking from it what understanding He yields reading and praying through the Word; that is, responding to what we read on the page and having a conversation with God. Many times this is us expressing thanksgiving, other times we ask questions and seek a deeper understanding of some facet of what we read intentional study / learni…

This is a stand-in for this week. I'm skipping all the stuff with numbers because I realized that the values I grade myself are useless without some quantifiable foundation. A friend of mine recommended getting proof of life once a month for her to keep getting the cash. There are non-profits that offer free sonogram or ultrasound. Also document that. You'll have to this 7 or 8 times, where you go with her to a clinic and verify the child is alive. Then give her the monthly/weekly amount after.

Pay the woman a fraction of 500/2wks. Set aside most of the cash, tell her she'll get most of it once the child is born. Document all of this. Keep copies of every text, every phone call, etc. You've learned a lesson about the importance of character.

Vetting takes time if you're doing it correctly. To get a solid understanding of a person's character you need to be with that person in a variety of situations. Different situations will magnify different facets of personality, so, if you are able, you can select situations/conditions that will check for different characteristics. For context, when my wife and I were first married we'd have pretty nasty fights but then it would end in passionate make-up sex when we finally made up. Well, if you're feeling frisky... You know what buttons to push. You could push/pull your way through an argument so she gets the feelz. Might be dangerous if your frame is weak. but I think I'm really just subconsciously afraid of having a big fight with my wife and of her leaving again. Long-term success means a permanent lifestyle change. You just need discipline. I'll add to this: if you're like me you need God to walk you through these things. I grew up without much discipline and I lean on God every day to get things done. He can renew your mind. And by "lean on" I mean praying moment to moment.

It ebbs and flows. As you drop weight it'll get worse/better (more test means more drive). Goals I need to go back and re-read your goals post. I want to be making headway in all areas of my life, but I haven't been purposeful about it. Thanks for being an example. 1,000# club Stay humble. If you overreach …

You should not file for divorce. God calls you to let the other party stay or go. Prepare adequately, but do not initiate proceedings. Honor your God.

How much of the Sidebar material (posts and books) have you read so far? I've made it to the mid-200s. Maybe as far as the 300s. I've at least referenced the 400s. NMMNG, WISNIFG, started on MMSLP and stopped part way through. I haven't gone through any of those a second time. I need to. God's going to work you over. In prayer ask for humbleness, wisdom, God's discipline, patience. Ask for the Spirit which He has promised to give abundantly. And in this time of preparation take care of the things God has given you. I went through this exact experience (minus kids) only 6 months ago. God has been so faithf…

I tried doing Bulletproof Coffee for 2 weeks. That stuff tore my stomach up so bad I’m still got the bubbleguts a week after stopping. So I’m eating more to try and normalize things again since I’ve had the runs on and off for the last week. I’m also considering taking a fiber supplement short term to help fix things. This happened to me when I first started keto. I had the runs for a month or more. It may be that your gall bladder just couldn't keep up. If you want to go back to BP coffee, try …

Physical / Stats Married 7.5 years. Divorced. Age 32, height 70", weight 170.8lbs, waist 33.25", neck 14.5", bf ~17%. Eating ~2lbs of meat a day. Lifts moving up (and are kinda easier). Sleep is ok (surprisingly). On track to gain 1lb/week. Mental Started on Tinder again in the guise of practicing game. I felt the dopamine hits after each session swiping. I do not like this head-space. This pattern of cyclical dopamine high has led me to some pretty bad places before. I haven't deliberately obje…
