you're right, and i apologize for giving a half-ass answer. the answer you (natephant) gave is def pretty solid in my opinon. one thing i would add to that is find ways to push and challenge her. what does that mean? i mean OP has known this girl your entire life and thus OP has the advantage that most men who approach her do not have: OP understands her. OP knows what motivates her and what her goals are. find ways to make her grow and be a better person (defined by her metrics). edit: changed …

step 1. get over her. there are a ton of girls out there. don't tie/limit yourself down to this one.

I can relate to you because I was in a similar place before. I recommend the combination of incorporating r/nofap, r/seduction, r/fitness to your life. It helped me get past the barrier.

I discovered this e-book for introverts that I found really awesome. NOTE: I am in no way affiliated with the author, other than finding the book awesome, and full of good tips.

insert some motivational cliche here, like: "you will always miss 100% of the shots you don't take". but the truth is you don't really know what level of success you can reach. you need to be honest with yourself and set realistic, yet challenging, standards. at the same time, you must keep pushing yourself and if you do, you will soon realize that you are capable of reaching something you never thought you could do.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
