Haha same, I get into the mindset that everything I read on the internet happened in America and the pandemic is only here in the Uk. I know full well that’s not the truth but my brain has to play catch up.

Trash. Sorry I know I’m only picking 1 thing out of all of this but how is “aww that’s sweet you can make me ANOTHER cake” an acceptable response to ‘you’ve made me make a whole cake for no reason”

Chasing someone down who isn’t actively persuing you and making you feel cherished will ultimately lead you into a position where you will be constantly looking for scraps of attention whilst he keeps you around long enough until he finds someone else he values more. This is not a reflection of you and what your worth is in any way, this is a reflection of the modern dating game and LVM mindset works. The quicker you can come to the realisation that there is no scarcity of men in the dating scen…

The priority is isolation so we don’t subject millions of elderly or at risk people to an early painful death. Your friend should not be trying to get her boyfriend of 3 months to come round. FaceTime is fine.

It’s because Boris won’t enforce an official lockdown and greedy building trade bosses won’t allow tradesmen to stop going to work and they will be laid off losing their jobs if they fail to come in as the building trade is all self employed. It’s mostly men in this pic because it’s the early train builders get on. If they shot the pic an hour later it would be mostly female office workers travelling in for the 9-5. Many selfish offices are forcing their employees to come in including my office,…

I don’t think this is low value, it’s highlighting how rampant the bigoted tabloids have gone after Megan Markle. It’s true, it’s terrible how much they’ve tried to stitch her up. I’m glad she and Harry have turned their back on the royal family hopefully this will be the start of their undoing.

I honestly find the obsession with anal a complete and utter turn off, it leaves me cold. Naturally these men focus on the most selfish one sided degrading form of sex.

An Anthony pressured 16yo me into losing my virginity then dumped me the next day during a date to the skate park and literally let go of my hand, walked over to another girl held her hand and left with her. Fuck Anthonys.

I’m not an expert but at a guess I would say it’s partially that he is physically attractive to you and partially because you like the idea of being with someone.

It’s normal and very human to be attracted to different people, and even picturing you two together is harmless whilst it’s just in your mind - but it’s good to be aware of what they are: “fantasies” and not let those thoughts blindside you when properly vetting new romantic interests and not letting the fantasy romantic image be so strong that you start to ignore red flags or giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I think you’re letting this vision of being a perfect couple cloud your judgement of what’s really going on. Take away the future plans and the being in love and look at the situation through the eyes of someone who cares for you and wants the best for you with or without this boy in your life, like a best friend or your mum. What would they say about it? I think it’s really easy (speaking from experience) to get wrapped up in your first love and think it’s the be all and end all but really it’s…

Wow if this was the UK he’d have 2 week low security sentence and 40hrs of community service before being rehoused and rehabilitated. The Americans don’t mess around when it comes to prison time.. respect

This is why you NEVER take a mans opinion on how you as a woman should look. They haven’t got a clue, they haven’t got any idea what the difference between neutral make up and no make up is and the majority are totally unable to visualise different outfits or looks on different woman (eg if they’ve seen a hot woman wear such and such they think it’s a hot look for all women and vice versa). I feel bad for her but honestly what a fool.

Don’t try to be a proper adult too fast, enjoy yourself to the max, be kind to your family and girlfriends and don’t ever sell yourself short or put up with shit from men- you are too young and too beautiful. Never send nudes. SPF daily.

Biggest cultural difference for us in the UK (particularly in London) compared to some of the posts on here is that drinking culture is a massive thing here unlike in America, so it would be quite weird to go on a dinner date for a first date as everyone goes to the pub after work for dating or friends. So I would say it wouldn’t be considered a low effort date in my country to go for drinks as there’s so many different types of pubs and bars and you could definitely pick nicer date friendly pla…

Sorry have these men spoken to Eastern European women? I am not getting this subservient Cultural expectation at all, I live in an area of London where there are a Lot of Eastern Europeans and the women do not take shit, they are definitely tougher than British women from my experience! All the polish and Ukrainian ladies I’ve worked with have all been extremely hard working, stern on the surface but with hearts of gold, in no capacity could i imagine they would have lower standards than English…

Yeah I think you’re right, we have a good level of trust and I’m quite confident in the relationship. I think he would stay and just try to have drinks with the boys until they wanted to move on and would think it was weird/cringe and wouldn’t go for a lap dance or whatever. I think if they hired a stripper he’d find it mortifying and just sit their cringing until it was over or if he was with friends he knew well he’d get one of them to be the centre of attention for the stripper. I would defin…

Me and my other half have been together for 11 years since we were 18, we are 30&29 now. I’ve always been of the opinion that I ENCOURAGE him to go to any of these events. If he fucks up and something happens I’d rather know sooner rather than later about his character. Despite bating him to reveal any kind of dark side, through some miracle, he seems to be one of the few men left on the planet that doesn’t watch/like porn, does not like strip clubs or want to go to one, and would not be friends…

We had Margret thatcher in the UK in the 80s and 3 queens throughout history. They tend to be more staunchly anti feminist historically to prove to the men around them that they are good leaders unfortunately. Nice thought though.

My friend who has had a baby with her boyfriend has to put any sauces, curries etc through a sieve as he “doesn’t like chunky bits”. He’s 32.

Totally agree. Been with my other half for 12 years since we were 18 and still happy. I think a big part of that is because I made sure to maintain friendships, my career, hobbies, language learning and art work outside of the relationship the whole time. Codependency just creates room for abuse in relationships.
